I keep coming back to this music, it affects me so deeply. I saw Huun-Huur-Tu and The Bulgarian Voices perform live at the Edinburgh festival in 1999, in a church. Best concert I've ever experienced, hands down. In fact it was so good I went and saw them again the next night. Wish I could see them perform together again.
Very good, четтирдим
Combination of two great cultures! I don't know why, but Bulgarian polyphonic singing make me cry.
Its slavi soul.

Mongol - Hun - Avar - Bulgar voices. Slav is just part of these combination. A BULGAR IS ALWAYS BULGAR 🇧🇬
Hungarian nothing else
Who dares to dislike this music?!
I think its comming from the source of the soul.
It's called "Fly, fly my sadness". Absolutely stunning, stunning album.
I LOVE Huun Huur Tu. This is a beautiful combination of musical traditions

This represent Bulgarian Culture 🇧🇬
What musical traditions are they combining? Honest question.
I'm not exposed to music enough to know.
@@danielawesome36 they are combining the folk music traditions of Bulgaria (a southeastern nation with a nomadic history) and the turko-mongolic culture of Tuva (situated just north of mongolia on the boundary with the taiga forest)
Make me feel on plains, free from all and everything, just roaming, alone.
Lovely music !
It is a good model of how different kind of cultures can coexist and unite, make humanity a single entity with one common culture, without discrimination and contradictions of/between cultures.
Mankind has to be united!
Lyrics :
I'm an orphan; I'm alone.
Pity I didn't die as a baby.
If I had died as a baby,
I never would have suffered.
I am the loneliest.
Pity I didn't die in my cradle.
If I had died in my cradle,
I wouldn't have suffered.
Pity the baby birds,
Left without a nest.
Pity a baby,
Left without a mother
One's fate,
One cannot change it.
My departed mother,
Nothing can bring her back

The [mostly literal] translation of the Bulgarian song:
Why do you scold me, mother,
why do you reprimand me?
A time will come, mother, when I too /2
when I too, mother, will be a memory.
Write my name, mother, on the door.
So every time, mother, you open it/2
Mother, you will remember me too.
Write my name, father, on your saddle
So that every time, father, you mount your horse/2
Father, you will remember me too.
Аж мурашки бегают по коже.
Great Performance...i hear it 1996 live in Vienna...night of the proms...so cooool!!!!! Thanks for five minutes to remenber
Greetings from vienna
очень красивая музыка
Qué maravilla!¡vuelvo una y otra vez y siempre me conecta con mi yo ancestral
Metaphorically speaking, may you always have sixty horses in your herd, may the wind be at your back, may the road rise to meet you 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, GOD bless!

I couldn't care less about the "racial" debate raging earlier on that page. The mix between the two musical ensembles is overwhelming, just made me cry... this is magical, no less.

magical indeed my friend

Невероятно мило и красиво
Beautifull.
WOW! That was so BEAUTIFUL!
Touching, powerful, sad & Epic. No words can properly describe its power and its high content and beautiful artistic quality (for such a tragic & soul stirring song)

Music connects, blends, and evolves. Always has, always will. More power to these amazing artists.
thanks mom to turning me on to magick that she found on the radio more than a decade now that opened me up to this album but a few years later. this here just brought me to tears knowing that i after so long still had never seen this video. thanks for the awesome hiphop cdee moms. i love my aya so much!
The song sounds like "Orphan's Lament", which if true, means it's supposed to sound sad ;)
All cultures have happy sounding songs, and sad sounding ones, just so happens this particular one is sad.
240 resolution? resolution and shot from mars! now this is my jam!!
So Beautiful, the sound the soul makes when it is set free to express it's heart.
Невероятно красивый симбиоз двух культур! Наслаждаюсь!
Incredible !
Beautiful!
i like to know my heritage, and it is dear to me. Deep in my soul, i feel like my heritage is slipping away, and superficial culture is taking over. We speak far fewer languages as a human race, and i feel like we are ALL collectively losing our identities. We must have come from the same place, but the fact that we have spread all over the earth has led to so much color and diversity and SOUL MUSIC. All of this 'one-world, one culture' could reduce this color and life to a fading memory.
Thank you for this recommendation...I'm going to buy it right now. If this song is anything to go by it will be well worth the money!
Just magical.
the number of connections in the prehistory can only be hinted at in mythology and legend, often grossly overstated or understated depending on who was lying about what at the time.
what is relevant now is that this is holy music.
Very interesting mix! Lovely!

Love it :)!
They come from Tuva - This is the name of a remote region, far away from the familiar route of civilization in the center of Asia. The autonomous republic of Tuva, ringed by mountains and deserts (population 300.000) is part of the new formation of countries lead by Russia. It shares its Southern border with Mongolia, the capital is Kyzyl by the river Yennisey.
Muito grande. conforto

This reminds me a lot of Mongolian music.... Incredible, soul-stirring stuff.
Huun-Huur is Mongolian, from Mongolian part of Russian.
They are not Mongolian they are Tuvan Turkic.

They managed to make Orphan's Lament even further sad and depressing. At this point it sounds like a funeral. I wouldn't be impressed if the Orphan jumped off a cliff in the last verse in this version.
WTF... Did not even knew it was possible to make it even sadder.
Fusion music excists for thousands years... as every part of culture
The Bulgarian Voices "ANGELITE" feat. Huun-Huur-Tu & Moscow Art Trio live in Belgrado
Красиво.
Аж пар из ноздрей
Anyone could share the lyrics please? Thanks!
I ever listened it in 《Fly,Fly my sadness》,that version is much better.
when i hear this i hear struggle. they are singing songs generations old on a stage, under lights, like they are an "act" or "production" of some kind. I have danced and sung in a 'folk group' for most of my life, and now realize it exists as a desperate attempt to hold on to a dying heritage, something that is being replaced by entertainment on a global scale. On another note, this music has the power to bring peace to people because All of us sang together like this once
Hate is not the essence of the sun. You should know that. You are the essence, thus you are not hatefull. Not truly at least.
Fly, Fly My Sadness

the same cultures , Bulgarian have infinitive of old Tatarian cultures. One of the best natural (arhaic) voices of wife in the world.
From Portugal: Yes, I can feel the sadness, but can't understand the words. Can you help me please translate? Where do they come from (Bulgaria and Mongolia?)? What tongue do they use (a common one?)? Greetings from the west (and thank you for this music).

humanity was born to change, otherwise we would have long ago died out. We adapt, its what we all do, and if you don't, you die.
Е е е е е е ейййй!
Love the song, but the video cuts off. This is a discredit to such a great group of artists.
I don't think there is any hate in any of Huun huur Tu's music. There certainly seems to be a lot of compassion and forgiveness. Breathe on, listen to the world, and solve you own problems. We live a in a global culture now, whether we like it or not. Look at Zen Buddhism of Japan or example, it has survived largely due to westerners like Alan Watts, and is really a great tool for all civilization.
Bulgarca ve tuva türkçesi çok güzel olmuş tebrikler ..........
Music ever, War never!
does anyone know where to find the lyrics are or at least what they are in part?
From the left : Byzaanchy, Igil, Doshpuluur (i think, can't really make it out), Igil again (i think)
does anyone know the name of the instruments?
Is there any chance to buy a CD or DVD from this actual concert?

I dont think we should get rid of anything.
Dafoodmaster Wrong.
@tangoman8: I understand your point, but in this case, these aren't two completely unrelated cultures, distant as they certainly are. Plus, though these very traditional songs are indeed not meant to be sung together, they are communicating a similar lament. This isn't just some world-music, new age piece of nonsense here. This was an expertly combined pair of songs, in my opinion. I do share your sentiment about a lot of today's sampling and remixing of folk tunes, though. ^_^
@NickNP tengi89 is right.
I can't really think why fussion can be so bad or destructive for a culture. If some form of music disapeared in the past it's probably either for political reasons (being banned) or because it evolved into something else. I don't think these guys are conspiring against their roots by singing with a Bulgarian choir. In fact they just came to China to perform and they are still making their amazing Tuvan music!
@tangoman8 thanks for being brave and pointing this out. Although the music is fantastic, it really is a bit of a forced fusion. At the same time it shows common themes.
