Use a shorter transfer tube to the condenser from the retort chamber. Dipping the end in water and watercooling of the condensing tube is not necessary as the boiling point of mercury is high enough that passive convection is enough for adiquite cooling. Ive distilled liter quantities of mercury in chemistry glass ware and for that much simply blowing air through the condensor was plenty. I did pull a vacuum on the apperatus so the mercury would not be oxidized though.
That’s awesome
Cool retort!
