how absolutely Lovely! Thanks, Peter; for the history also, about Wisley. The entire grounds are astonishingly magical. The Fae everywhere. Yes, is grand to see the children there & the other visitors. Heavens, i love this; and your trees are awesome . . .

What a sight for sore eyes indeed..beautiful collection of bonsais Peter..Bravo. Would probably walking back and forth just to gawk at them if i was there haha..Thx for sharing and cant wait for the next one..stay safe folks..cheers
Each tree is lovelier than the next! I must watch this video over and over! Great mulberry tree! Thanks for also showing so much of the gardens, so appreciated. As always you are the best!
Thank you.... 🙏 😔 🙏 Dr. Chan,,,, I liked this video very much, because of the date, but mainly because of seeing you work on several different species at the same time as if you are maintaining your own collections. The mulberry tree took me way, way back to my childhood, we would climb and eat. The famaily, especially the little one, was quite refreshing. Wisley is quite interesting.... 🙏 🖖🙏
Wonderful Videos. I used to live in Upper Hayford Oxfordshire. Love the climate. If I ever return I will visit Heron's and Wellesley. Ps: I love your hat Peter. Keep these inspiring videos coming please. Karl
Peter it's nice you have all those large trees, it helps with thief. People would steal our trees in a county park in N.J., U.S.A., even tho they're cabled down. They come with bolt cutters. But since the park opened up the area and parking lot, we haven't lost one in the last 2 years. They've been at the park for 25 years. Cheers, stay healthy and happy. Love the hat, looks comfortable. Steve.
Do it bro !!!! Go visit Mr chan as well . My misses says shes going to arrange a trip so I can go down around Christmas to buy a try and meet the legend himself, hopefully🤞 .. I’m going to get Peter to sign my tree 🌲
@@askgbk definitely! Peter is such a great guy, I met him in November, here is me and him with a massive latch bonsai flic.kr/p/2hKFVDy he also kindly signed my original Bonsai Master Class book.

Please keep doing this perfect videos for us...I am enjoying every single one. Once I will be in UK I will definitelly have to visit this place. Greetings from Slovakia

Watching the video, I kept having problems to focus: that hat... I guess, Mr. Chan would say: "As long as it does the job"... Great job, Mr. Chan! And great hat!
Lovely to see the other end of your work. Not just you prepping trees for sale , but your works of art in their final forms! Do you have other trees (personal ones?) that are even better than the ones at Whisley?
I don't mean to disrespect your knowlagr Peter, you know a lot about bonsai and I often learn from your videos and appreciate what you do, but one thing you said during this video took my attention. Trees don't pump water anywhere, it's a process called transpiration, when water evaporates from the leaves or needles of a tree, more water rushes in to replace what has evaporated, and the whole precess starts again in a constant cycle. It's quite genius really, this way the tree exerts minimal energy in transporting water. There are trees in nature over 50 foot tall and it would be quite impossible for a tree to force the water up that far with a pumping action due to pressure building up. So at a guess I would say there weren't enough needles at the top of that tree to draw the water up to the apex. Other than that, great video I enjoyed seeing that you take the time to talk to people that admire your work.
Comes see his trees after 6 months. Trees look fine. "Yeah, looking after trees isn't rocket science." Lol! But he gives kudos to the guys looking after them a bit later.
I recently acquired a serissa foetida and am vary new to bonsai any advice on this species in particular? Shaping, care, propagation, I want to know more and you seem like the man to ask.
It would be nice to have. a basic price tutorial, not for the high end but for the beginners kind of tree, here in Switzerland the market is very weak and the price vary a lot and I am not sure what is a good value when buying maybe importing from Europe
I love the chicken-plucking technique. It simulates animal eating styles, and I believe almost any tree is genetically well-suited to handle that kind of behaviour. Very good harmony with lifecycles.
So when I’m trying to order something on you’re website I’m trying to order a pot because my serrissa bonsai is getting to big of root system and I’m in US you’re in UK so I don’t have that money I only have USD. An I still order from you’re website?? I don’t want my bonsai to die

Hi peter, no disrespect but have you tried sphagnum moss under you hat
I have indeed but sadly I cannot regain my youth. There is also a Chinese remedy but I won't bore you with the details !

i'm wondering if the pots are tied to the stands? :o
Do you use the same shears from tree to tree? Do you wash them if you change to another tree to prevent contamination? Or is that overkill??
I am not that fussy - its not a surgical operation , so I don't bother decontaminating - that would be over the top or overkill as you say !!
Hi Peter. I’ve made a few bonsai and they look really good but their starting to brown a little even though their not dry. Is this normal?
