The following day we also had the pleasure of meeting Peter Chan in person as we were staying close to Herons Bonsai nursery, at Hever Castle.

I was at Wisley (I live in Belgium) in April 1998 so I just missed seeing this beautiful walk of bonsai. I wish I could visit RHS Wisley again, I spent a wonderful day there.
We spent about 5 hours there taking everything in.

Thanks, Jason! I don’t live very far from Wisley but for a reason or another I never manage to visit it! I’ve seen it only through Peter Chan’s videos (but never with such a steady camera! 😉)

I wanted an intro that showed there is so much more to the gardens but wanted to get to the bonsai as soon as possible 🤪
Wisley are so lucky to have the Heron’s Bonsai Walk. I live near the new RHS Bridgewater, hopefully they will cater for bonsai lovers there one day.
We visit Bridgewater regularly too. Was last there for the Christmas lights. Wouldn’t it be great to have a bonsai walk equivalent there too…
Beautiful trees look a bit ignored though , need some refinement😢
