Thanks, Nick, for another great video. This looks like a great close-in hike.
Oh yeah! Back in the Rockies. Great hike.
Glad you made it!
I did this in March of last year, that area is great, after I summited Coffintop I wandered around through the woods and summited every little point that I could find.
Colorado is awesome. A beautiful trail by the river surrounded by rock formations, it's all very pretty. I got to see some of Colorado last summer hoping to get out there next year. I need to look up where this trail is exactly It would be fun to hike there. Thanks for sharing. 👍
What a great hike. Beautiful nature.
My husband and I just hiked this this morning after watching your video. The area is gorgeous and it's a really fun hike!
Today was perfect! Hope you didn't get rained on. I bet the views from the top were spectacular. Congrats on the summit!
We did manage to beat the storms and you were spot on, amazing views! Definitely a 10/10 would do again!
The views were awesome! Except for the smoke. Thanks for taking me along. Looked like a leg burner of a hike.
Hey Nick ... This video was very timely ... Earlier this week I was starting to put a plan together to go do CoffinTop ... So this video is going to be very helpful when I go do it ...
And I was actually at the same trailhead on May 20 ... We got there a couple hours after you got there ... I was with a group from the Colorado Mountain Club who were doing their Graduation Hike for the Wilderness Trekking School class they were taking ... Small world ... And at the end of the video you captured my car at the trailhead ...
Awesome! Glad the video helps. Good luck on the Coffintop hike! Its a great summit.
Just beautiful even with the haze. Glad to see snow on those mountains. Hopefully we'll all see an end to this drought. Nobody wants wildlife. Course it might burn up those ticks!!
Beautiful scenery on that one! Isn’t it wonderful to see the green popping out once again. Thanks for the great production!
What a great morning out there !! Beautiful footage as always Nick, thanks for capturing Coffintop Mountain !
No dogs. That's crazy. It went from off-leash dogs allowed on the Sleepy Lion trail, to leashed-only, to this all within the last year. I wonder what spurred that and if there had been any dog-related incidents or something.
Anyway, very entertaining and informative video as usual Nick! I've been wanting to do this hike for ages. Maybe one say we'll cross paths on the trail. Many blessings.
It just dawned on me that the reservoirs are City of Longmont's water supply. Makes sense to keep dog waste out of there.
That makes sense. Seems like there were a lot of people at the reservoir! They were somewhere.. lots of cars but we only saw a handful of people hiking where we were. So they had to be up at the reservoir.
@@nicksangetta8874 most people just hike up that road. If you skirt the north half of the reservoir there are lots of trails that go up into those gulches. Eventually you can end up in public land and Button Rock I think. There are connecting trails that go all the way up to Allenspark and RMNP.
Thanks for sharing your hike …. I don’t live very far away so I’ll put this in my ‘to do’ list …. I don’t know why they have banned dogs …. But when we went up to Price reservoir in April we saw lots of doggy poop bags along the road / trail… I’d like to think that people were going to pick them up on the way back but you know what folk are like 🤷♂️ disappointing as there are trash bins at both ends of the trail for stuff like that …. Still you are right it is a lovely spot to hike for the folks living in and around the Longmont area ….
