- I recently returned from an epic trip to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil to experience the famous Carnival celebrations! From stunning beaches, massive granite mountains, and a diverse culture, Rio has to be one of my new favorite cities.

Hi Ryan. It's a beautiful city. I live in São Paulo but I often go to Rio de Janeiro for climbing somewhere with my friends, and Pedra da Gavea is my favorite trekking so far in the city. In front of it, there's another mountain called Pedra Bonita, which there's a base for paraglide and hang gliding flight. Stay safe!

Great video as always Ryan! Rio is on my list for places to visit too. You really had 3 security guards while being there? :D So sounds kind of unsafe.... I would love to see more of the hikes and adventurous activities, seems like Rio has a lot to offer but I always here it´s unsafe...
Digital Dre not gonna lie, I was a little scared going up there because our guards got out with guns and made sure it was safe 😳 but I think during the daytime most places are safe.
It’s not that dangerous in Rio as people say. Of course is not the same as Italy for example, but just don’t go to favelas and everything will be fine
What's the name of the look out when you watched the sunrise? And what was the reason for the security guards? 😯
It’s called Mirante Dona Marta, we just had them because we’d be all alone since we went so early and Rio in general is a little sketch. But if you go during the day you’d be fine for sure
How do you do these funny round transitions in the opening I'd like to learn?
With some good ass drone cinematography. It's not too difficult when you get used to it but at first its pretty wonky on the controllers.
It was with my gopro 360, in gopros software you can move the camera around to make the cool effect! It’s pretty easy!

Disappointingly, your review of Rio was unrelatable.
I've been to Rio de Janeiro 8 or 9 times. Brazil 18 times and lived in Porto Alegre for a year. That doesn't even make me an expert.
Few of your viewers fly business class. Fewer have three security guards. 50% will likely be robbed. I've been robbed at gunpoint and with a knife to my throat. I lost a cheap watch and about US$10. I have not been back to Rio in 13 years. It's simply too dangerous.
I'm just not sure if the review wasn't colored by the sponsor gifts to you. Not high journalism.

Thanks Chris for your kind words and perspective. That's crazy you've been there so many times. I definitely would have been scared on my own. My friend got invited on a trip with American Airlines and he brought me along hence the special treatment! But it definitely would've been a different story if I went alone.
I liked your video except the parts where you talk about robbery. We have robberies all over the world like any country. This type of message does not add anything to tourism in Rio
