When blue first launched the nuts were stackable, there were TLers at the docks, and Groflash was up in Freeport every night. I took a wizard from 1 to 20 in under a day...
I remember in the year 1999-2003 my buddy found out about this quest. There were hundreds of people around level 30-40 doing this quest. I believe it was bugged. We were able to get the same amount of exp at higher levels. There would be 50 people gathered around Tumpy turning the nuts in. Great video!
That's pretty good. I think the bone chips to the paladin in Kaladim might be a little better? if i recall correctly they get up to lvl 8 or 10.. then orc scalps from highpass for up to lvl 18 without having to swing a sword
They nerfed the hell out of the bone chip quest in Kaladim. At level 1, you get great exp per turn in, like 5% per, but as soon as you hit level 2 it goes down to fractions of a percent, like 0.03% per turn in. Hand in one or two stacks at level 1 and you’ll dung for sure. Only reason to do mass bone chip entries in Kakadim is for faction. Orc belts and Lego pads are way better until around 10. I did the turn in’s at every level to prove it.
Pretty cool The only thing I would change, if you already have plat to transfer, is that I would go to Hindaek Stormhammer inside of Redfists Metals, by the Warrior guild in Kaladim, and buy the more expensive Medicine bags at about 8 Gold each, because they are lighter and will serve your character better down the road weight wise until you can do better at only .5 weight each vs 3 each. But that makes about 7PP more expensive initial cost. Databyter
I wouldn't say you were nervous for nothing. The first time I tried running to the boat on blue, an aqua goblin ganked me just a bit away from the dock gate while someone was killing the guards.
Pro ranger trick is just Duel Someone, let them kick your but, sit over and over while they hit you to make it faster. That way you can keep your crappy sword.
Hey Perry! Cool Dwarf you have here. I never would’ve expected a dwarf warrior. It’s a pretty cool class I must admit, personally I’m a Barbarian Warrior kinda guy but hey Dwarfs and Barbarians are the brothers of justice in ol’ Norrath. Happy hunting and liked the video!
Gnoll fangs are the fastest early game level I'm pretty sure, at level 4 turning in 4 fangs gives an entire level worth of xp, its pretty crazy. Drops off hard around level 10.
I started when Lanys Tvyl server came out Aug?? maybe 1999, early 2000, I created a HE Enchater, used the Crushbone belts quest in Kaladim. I went from 1 to 18 w/ a bank full of bags full with CB belts, let my friend play the acct as we had 10 or so RL friends playing, was awesome, he was like, how do you have a lvl 18 character with nothing on the char or any spells? LOL was fun, sux to fizzle everything because I never even cast 1 spell until 18, but was very nice. Great memories!!
This why I support your channel! Thanks for doing that little adventure at the request of your viewers! Can you explain your dwarfs name, or do we have to piece it together when you get to level 20?? 😅
@@PerryLovewhistleThanks for sharing that, what a cool theme to continue. I found a reference to Copperplate being 'the progenitor' to Engrossers Script. 'The Progenitor' lvl70 warrior mob... Big fight for Engrossers in the future?? 😅😅
I remember doing this on live back in 2000. I think the week I found it they nerfed it. I definitely did 5-7 levels this way. Maybe it was the week it was givin way too much exp cause my friend told me about it.
Just did this on Quarm with a gnome magician. The only xp I previously had was turning in my newbie note. 64 kiola nuts + following wire turn ins got me just shy of level 2. Not worth it there.
@@PerryLovewhistle awesome man I will check them out! I noticed during watching your ranger let’s plays that you have so much valuable knowledge of all these random quests that would really help noobs like myself at leveling in this game.
Hello, I have found this channel and started watching it from episode 1( hunter leveling ) however I would like to start playing this game but have no clue how to download it. Can someone please help me out
The hardest part is getting a copy of the Everquest Titanium client. Check Ebay or anywhere you find old video games. Once you have that: www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2651

@@PerryLovewhistle thank you so much. This is so cool. Especially because I still haven’t decided which class to commit to and want to level a few up to 10ish before deciding. Lol.
At one time before the nerf Tumpy's gave good exp through level 8-10. Did this with my enchanter and combined the tonics with the quest in Ogre city as well (enchanters needed to at first ignore the racial issues)
I recommend everquest live p99 is not like i remember i remember the game being better in 2000-01 with the same looting the corps to get items back and hard ships

Quest xp got really messed up after one of those updates.
The /bow at Costkin had me dying hahahahaha
Emotes are underused in game these days. Trying to lead by example.
"Good afternoon sir. I would like a quick ride back to Kaladim please." - nothing like a good ol' guard teleport :)
As funny as it was someone else suggested buying 8 more boxes and rebuying on the return trip. Who knows how big he would have gotten?
What about banking in Freeport, buy empty boxes again, and fill them again in the trip back?
... that would be way more effective. Now I have to do it over again.

I considered that. I only went with the boxes to make it absolutely as cheap as possible.
Interesting video. Just note for anyone trying to do this past lvl 5, the exp is completely trivial for even a full bag's trip so just go slay after!
Spellbooks are 10 slot bags also
Yes! But they are 10 p apiece and aren't sold in Kaladim (though they are sold in Freeport...)
Put a good few items on a noob character, and get level 6 inside an hour chain slaughtering a zone.
It makes me happy the old ranger gate is still a thing.
Wow, that's really good to know! LOVE IT
Could you have bought more boxes, filled those up as well with Kiola Nut and then you could have done 2x the turn in's by riding it back?
I considered that after, but it was still fun to guard-port.
I wouldn't say you were nervous for nothing. The first time I tried running to the boat on blue, an aqua goblin ganked me just a bit away from the dock gate while someone was killing the guards.
