IMPORTANT: My main channel is now @TheRatmothy EDIT: I am BEGGING ya'll to watch the ENTIRE video before asking how it's anti-war. I'm not gonna spoil anything, but let's just say it's really obvious who hasn't watched the entire video lol 😭 Thank you for stopping by and I appreciate every one of you for taking time outta your day to watch this! :) (SPOILER AHEAD FOR THIS VIDEO) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I want to quickly provide more details about what I was trying to say in this video: Anti-war used to be simply just showing some brutality, maybe a person blown up here, a person burned alive there, I’m sure you can imagine some pretty graphic scenes in movies/media/games. It used to work, sure when raw footage from the frontlines was rare. So with eventual access to things like colored TV and footage from the frontlines, providing graphic imagery on screen persuaded people to reconsider glorifying war. In the modern day, it is no longer that effective to show people getting blown to pieces to persuade others not to glorify war. We (at least in my opinion) are desensitized to graphic imagery. This is why for the first half of this video I showed people dying in gruesome ways (gassed, shot, blown up, burned) while keeping an almost satirical/funny vibe as proof that many people are not that shocked by graphic imagery anymore. So how do we tell an anti-war message if we can’t simply just show some graphic imagery? Well, the way I see it is that we must remind the audience of their mortality. The main reason why people glorify going to war is because they think they are the exception. They think if THEY go to war, sure people will be dying around them, but they’ll come out on top with maybe a cool wound to tell their grandkids about, adventure stories, and a chest full of medals. If they do die, it will be in a heroic way, with maybe visions of gunning down hordes of enemies and then receiving the Medal of Honor posthumously. That is the old lie: It is glorious to die for your country. The entire point of this video is saying: “What makes you think you’re the exception? That you would live if you went to war? That you won’t lose your eyes and a leg? That you would die a heroic death? Do not believe the old lie, that it is glorious to die for your country“ In the end, I wanted to ask the viewer if it was all worth it? If YOU were dying on the battlefield for a questionable war, thinking back to all the friends, family, and memories you were about to leave behind, would you say it was worth it? Foxhole is a great anti-war game not just because it’s brutal. It’s a great anti-war game because it reminds us that you and I aren’t special. One more thing is I recommend reading the lyrics for the last song I used: “Take my trench coat” (it’s on RUclips), it’s pretty relevant to why I chose a scene between my brother and I hunting as flashbacks for the final moments. Once you listen and read through the lyrics I recommend you watch the last scene again from this video where the music starts.

I love playing infantry in this game, and seeing you play infantry is like reliving my early days of learning this game and getting excited about everything and constantly learning. I also really agree; this isnt cod where even if you die you're badass, odds are you die from an unlucky rifle shot, or a round of artillery that wasnt even aimed at you, and that would have fallen there even if you didn't deploy. No matter how skilled you are in this game, or at real life soldiering, death will come for you.

RUclips warp hole brought me here but I welcome it because I was not ready for such a great video. It is so nice of you to bring up this topic nowadays with all the conflicts going on. Keep up the good work ❤
The concept and editing for this video was amazing (maybe even dreamlike, as in the hunting gameplay was what the soldier experienced at the moment of death or something)
great vid have you tried the other combat roles in the game like medic, tanker, arty or navy? and if you press f8 can turn off the UI for a more cinematic view

@jacobusmarch9524 colonials have a sub too. If even has a 120mm gun. But they are very long whilst the warden one is short and manoeuvrable. Collies don't line their sub as much.
No worries I hope everything goes well with your phone! My laptop actually stopped charging a few weeks ago and I took it to an Apple store, thankfully it was just a small part that was broken
Look into all of Foxhole elements have some subtle anti-war elements to it or at least showing war at its most realest. Long term artillery bombardment can cause the land to be devastated and causing all player's built structures to take more damage, and ruin ghouse so that it can't be rebuilt or that contrast change from area that experience no fighting vs area with a lot of fighting. It's this subtle but lasting impact cause by the players make foxhole a unique war game. There are anti-war lore scatter around in the map but whatever.
@@jonhstonk7998 Perhaps, if your idea of glory lies in one of the rubble of once great Caoiva or lie in the corrupted seat of Mesea senate then be my guess. I'm not interested in fighting a war of opportunity, but in the end there will always be those who would take up the sickle and hoe before lifting a rifle ever again. (Just some word from the lore pieces. Take this as a light hearted roleplay.)

There's an old saying I believe I read in a book somewhere. Only two kinds of people die in wars. Fools and the unlucky
