    As an IS owner with 192,000 miles I would definitely recommend only replacing your filter and the fluid lost from changing the filter which is about three quarts, and I would highly highly recommend amsoil, and there's also a product called at-205 that reconditions all your rubber seals but not by swelling them, it literally repairs your rubber seals and your transmission because it's a polymer solution, I changed every single fluid that I could in my car with amsoil, differential, transmission, and breaks. Amsoil is the best oil you can get your hands on

    • @chameleonphoenix5956
      @chameleonphoenix5956 3 года назад +2

      @@antwontwontwon2378 I use a whole bottle of at-205 in my engine twice a year and a whole one in the transmission subtracting the amount from the 3 quarts of replaced transmission fluid. Here's another tip, pennzoil ultra platinum is the closest thing to amsoil admitted by an amsoil rep, hard to find but it's available on the Walmart app with free shipping usually and it's like $22 to $24 for 5qt, I do oil changes at 10,000 miles with an amsoil 25,000 mile filter. At 5k miles the oil is still very lite clear carmel colored, the filter is 3 micron. I do add Lucas 100% pure synthetic additive, not the thick stuff. Sorry for the long message but this has worked out great for me. Also the ultra platinum has extremely low evaporation so I rarely have to top off 😉🤘

    New to the channel. Just subscribed! Your IS is so clean! I’m currently looking at a 2012 350 F sport, or 2015 250 F sport. Which would you chose and why? I’m leaning towards the 350 I think. Both around same price, 97k on the 350, and 73k on the 250. Whichever I get I’m keeping until the wheels fall off!

      Thank you so much for watching and welcome to the channel! I hope you enjoy the content from here on out! Most people will say the 350 cause it’s faster but I don’t like the outdated exterior and interior, that’s why I went with an 2015 IS250 instead of a 2010 IS350/ISF. I personally wanted the car for reliability, decent gas, and to be able to make it look the way I wanted!

    Hi. Would your uncle be able to help me do a drain and refill as a preventative (car drives and shifts fine) but because the Lexus dealership and several other mom and pop shops I spoke to told me they don't mess with the "life time" transmission fluid and my car is nearing 85K miles and I'm sure its still the same fluids. I know since it's Hyundai, I don't know if they would take any car that comes in. Thank you.
