You should try going to the LV Murakami pop up in london and see if they can fix your stained bag! I saw that they have a “care and repair station”, saw someone online that mentioned it… on another note, I agree that the LV Murakami bags seem hard to style, and I personally don’t understand the hype around it…. Enjoyed this video and I think of all the bags I love the Gucci Boston bag! Quite a cute design and the price was great too! ❤
For me it was the Gucci horse bit hobo bags. Jessica Simpson used to carry them on her reality show and I was obsessed. I finally got one about 4 years ago for a steal and I love it to death.
I still have my old Fendi Spy bags and Dior gaucho and saddles. I guess I must think the same, because I actually pulled out my Fendi Spy and started wearing it again on Jan 1. I love those bags and I always took good care of them.
Your Métis looking Murakami condition is amazing! Vachetta replacement prices for the vintage Murakami Speedy is almost $2000! So your bag with dye transfer, if you know an artist, they can easily touch up white and you would never notice! The white Murakami has red bleeding and many people just touch it up with white paint.
I had a fomo moment with the multi color launch but the prices are insane. I rather get something on the original release on the pre-loved market. I am waiting for the cherry blossom and cerise release maybe I will get something 😊
I have the white Ursula bag. I purchased it in 2008. I luv it and will never sell it. I also have dye transfer on the bottom from my denim jeans but I feel it gives it character. It’s the best collection ever
Am excited for y2k revival as well but I feel what you’re saying about being difficult to make it work with a modern twist. Original y2k was such a hot mess it just made sense. Would love to see a video where you challenge yourself and style y2k bags for today.
Love Y2K bags! I just bought a pre-loved 2007 Gucci Indy bag...the one that has the top handle that is supposed to be the top half of the Maserati Indy steering wheel! I love it!
The next time you visit Singapore, bring your white Murakami bag and take it to Colourwash along Orchard Rd for spot-treat or even go as far as spot-recolour in white
I’ve never had a designer bag. Can’t afford one, not even second hand. Can’t even justify saving up for one because so many other things take priority.
Hi Sophie, the Gucci Boston one with the hearts for sure ❤ The white Murakami bags are gorgeous, but I will not be happy with the dye transfer. Labubu ~ it’s everywhere over here 😝. I see people dressing them up with C, CD and H accessories 😂
Very cute Labubu... Sophie I love that you've kept your favourite bags. A really good cobbler might be able to touch up those small transfer spots. They're actually not that bad, imo. All those bags would be great styled with denim. Great fun, ...that's what it's really all about, for me, anyway.
Love your boston gucci bag, anything with hearts always gets me, I am also starting using my speedy bag which I bought when I was 23 y.o (I am 47 y.o now ) . You are so lucky David understand your love of luxury🥰
I LOVE the Louis Vuitton X Murakami collection, I remember seeing the original styles on movie characters when I was young and i really wanted one of those bags.
Literally have pulled out a Burberry bag that is from that era, since the big hobo styles are coming back. Man is that thing heavy! Also pulled out my classic speedy 30, because there was NO Damier available in 2005. And I’ve put a twilly on the handles and hung some charms I got from Harrods over the holidays on it. It’s nice to get excited to pull out older bags. And … yes need a Labubu… simply because I’m Asian. 😂
You can use Apple Guard on LV canvas. I’ve used it on my damier azure everyday bag and have no dye transfer. Every time you share your Boston bag it reminds me how much I love it. They’re so hard to find in good condition! Never get rid of it.
I think a lot of people are just fed up with the whole boring quiet luxury trend and are craving something more interesting, fun and colorful and the y2k looks fit that.
Sophie, I personally like the Crybaby series and Molly. Hee. This was a fun video. I used to obsess over the Chloe Paddington bag with the huge lock back in the day!
Yes 🙌! Y2K ! Calling all fellow Millennials!! WSJ ( Wall Street Journal) called us “ The generation that refuses to grow up” , instead of being offended, I was proud 🥲! ( Mark Zuckerberg would be proud 🥲 also, IMO) lol 😂! - love ❤️ all things Y2K! hugs 🤗, Amy
I went to Pop Mart today and got a Coca-Cola labubu! 😄 For those in London, they are restocking the Have a Seat labubus in the Pop Mart on Oxford Street tomorrow!
I want the Dior Gaucho so bad!!!! I have the same Fendi baby spy but mine has the bronze metallic leather! I do like the regular spy that you don’t like! Moncler did a collab with them and theyncs,e in 3 colors. I really only like the limited edition regular spy bags. The Dior Boston’s bag yours be comes in a dog carrier version that I could see you using for your bunnies. Sadly the dog carrier featured in the Simple Life that Paris bought for Tinker Bell. I haven’t been able to find it for the life of me.
I think these bags with your Labuan charms are not only adorable but you could probably carry them in London without worrying about being robbed. I think I would enjoy carrying them more than let’s say a Chanel bag that makes you a target for theft
I managed to get the whole set of Labubus but they're sitting around the house. I don't like these plastic cases. Unless you're planning to carry them around, there's no point. I miss 2000s, especially the prices. I paid only £200 for brand new from the store LV Speedy from the Graffiti collection. Those were the days that you didn't have to trade your kidney for a bag. 😂
Great idea for a video, Sophie!💡I loved seeing your Y2K bags ~ so cool! Crazy thought ~ what if you rub your stained bag with wet tea bags to stain the rest? 🤔🥰🌻
The dior boston bag, what if you used a steamer on it while it's stuffed to try to get the wrinkles out? I dont know but you can try. I dont think it would hurt it any if you tried.
As long at LOW RISE JEANS don't come back the way they did in the early 2000s when I was in Uni -- you couldn't find mid or high rise pants!! So annoying. Low rise and Ultra-low rise looks good on about 0.5% of the population. I hated them so much! I don't really get the nostalgia of Y2K... 9/11 put a stop to that, and the crash of 2008 put a nasty cap on the decade. All the trends were focused on false-optimism and cutesy stuff, almost as a reaction to how panicked everyone (well, adults) were at the time.
I like Murakami designs for LV. The other Y2K bags I have seen, I like some, not others. Sad, the stains on your white Murakami. I have a very old and battered one I bought second hand just to have it. I had assumed it had been used heavily, now though I am wondering! A bag spa may be able to fix yours for you? Thank you for the video! (I think Labubus are cute, but I am not obsessed!)
I enjoyed the original run in the 2000s and had a number of Murakami pieces. Sold them all because they looked really dated and out of place. Now in my late 30s, the ones that launched 1/3 just look juvenile to me 😅 It’s cute but doesn’t go at all with my wardrobe or fashion today. Plus the prices made me LOL (I remember paying $400ish for my cherry blossom pochette and now the new panda pochette is $2100)
The Mericami bad, what about acetone? Nail polish remover. It might strip the white dye off of it though. But you could try it on one of the dye transfer spots. It might work but be careful. Just dab it very carefully and if you see the white coming off, then i would stop.
The Gucci-bag with the golden hearts is really nice. However, I wouldn't hang these "Beo-Ao" and the other ones as a charm on the bag. Firstly, they're too big, taking away a lot of the "impression" of the bag itself and secondly, these small dolls look like big children toys ( a bit too childish to wear with a bag for an adult ). I prefer smaller charms hanging on a bag.🙋♀️😃👜
I would carefully dab the stains on the bag with a cotton swab and stain remover (e.g. turpentine or nail polish remover). There is also a brush cleaner available at hardware stores. This removes sticky, dark stains and also adhesive residues.
I Love This Collection ❤ I Have The Alma From The First Collection And So Wanted A Bandeau In White But Wasn't Able To Get It 😢 I Have Some Labubus 🩷💜🤎
Y2K been popular for ages!! Feel like it was the last truly carefree unique decade
It really was carefree, so true! I love the nostalgia!!xx🥰🥰🩷🩷
@@SophieShohetOfficialY2K was ghetto fabulous - boujie without being pretentious 💕✨
2000-2010 were the best and worst years of my life.
it was the end of ensemble dressing, we'd mix eras of fashion and never really stopped

How beautiful is the story of your Gucci bag! David is truly an angel! ❤
I need a Labubu! I am OBSESSED! 😂 They are EVERYWHERE and everybody seems to have one, but they are constantly sold out!
I'll pass on the Labubus. There are so many prettier bag charms out there.
For me it was the Gucci horse bit hobo bags. Jessica Simpson used to carry them on her reality show and I was obsessed. I finally got one about 4 years ago for a steal and I love it to death.

I love that you are into Labubus as well All your bags are so pristine! I love the story of David surprising you with that bag, so sweet 💕
Nice Hydrangea in the background. I also like these flowers.
I had a fomo moment with the multi color launch but the prices are insane. I rather get something on the original release on the pre-loved market. I am waiting for the cherry blossom and cerise release maybe I will get something 😊
Don't understand the hypes on Labubus. So ugly and childish in my opinion.
That’s the POINT. It was popularized by KPOP music and reflects eternal Asian youthfulness. Your problem is that you are old and decrepit.
Y2K is like the 70’s for me. I lived through those styles once, and have no interest in doing it again. Lol. I wouldn’t use any of those bags. 🤷🏼♀️
Thank Goodness many people aren’t you
I have the white Ursula bag. I purchased it in 2008. I luv it and will never sell it. I also have dye transfer on the bottom from my denim jeans but I feel it gives it character. It’s the best collection ever

The labubus are very cute - you’re a big kid Sophie! 😂
Love Y2K bags! I just bought a pre-loved 2007 Gucci Indy bag...the one that has the top handle that is supposed to be the top half of the Maserati Indy steering wheel! I love it!
I saw that they are reviving the Murakami Pieces, Maybe they can fix the white bag you have, Because that bag is lovely and needs to be seen!
Your Fendi Spy bag is stunning! I love everything about it. 🥰
I want those Labubus ❤ I loved the Fendi Spy bag! The bag that got my obsession going was the Balenciaga City bag. Miss those days xo

I hunted down a Fendi spy bag and bought it about six years ago for like $300 and just like that it’s 2005 again I love it
I have the brown Christian Dior bag in brown!!! Still have it!!! I have carried it last year several times!
Yes 🙌! Y2K ! Calling all fellow Millennials!! WSJ ( Wall Street Journal) called us “ The generation that refuses to grow up” , instead of being offended, I was proud 🥲! ( Mark Zuckerberg would be proud 🥲 also, IMO) lol 😂! - love ❤️ all things Y2K! hugs 🤗, Amy

Love the " bag stories". I tried whiteboard cleaner and it worked on a leather glove..

love your y2k collection
Those stuffed things look like dog chew toys
Beautiful bags 😊💕

I wanted a gaucho bag so bad. You should wear it. Enjoy it. No one I know would look at you and say “oh she’s wearing a dated bag”.
The dior boston bag, what if you used a steamer on it while it's stuffed to try to get the wrinkles out? I dont know but you can try. I dont think it would hurt it any if you tried.

Low rise was an absolutely nightmare for me because I am high waisted so it always felt that clothes were falling down.
Didn’t it try to make it a thing about 2 or 3 years ago but they didn’t take off
I am sorry for you, but the low rise have a comeback since last year 😅 I tried on a pair of jeans and I remembered how much I hated them 🤣
@@Kate.g. Practically a whole generation of teenage girls didn’t know where their waists were!
Uuuu…I have the same Labubu Monster in grey. Trying to buy an outfit. 😎😎😎🦋🦋🦋

L O V E that Fendi Baby Spy Bag 😎

I love labubu, i need to find a meatball now
To each his own…🤪
Minimum wage was like £4 something in 2009, I swear...
Wow that gucci
It really is spectacular!!xx
Hi Sophie!!! First!!!!! Hugs xx
Jill!! I hope you’re so well! Thank you so much for the GORGEOUS Christmas gift! I hope you saw me unbox it in a video just after Christmas? 😊🩷 Xx
The Mericami bad, what about acetone? Nail polish remover. It might strip the white dye off of it though. But you could try it on one of the dye transfer spots. It might work but be careful. Just dab it very carefully and if you see the white coming off, then i would stop.
Idk if you follow her already but you would love Jessiestyles, she is a hangbag lover who is like the Laububu Queen lol
Bring the white multicolour to the popup in soho, London. They might be able to fix your bag. They touched up on my 🍒 speedy!
stuff the dior bag with socks and put a hairdryer near it
I use toothpaste to clean difficult stains and baby wipes. Perhaps you could try them.
I love my white multi color speedy but the transfer is a problem. 🎉Ev
Are these design houses just PLAIN LAZY? It's like the ENDLESS REMAKES of classic movies and tv shows.
Can you write down how to spell the names of the toys? Thank you.
Labubus
please try baby wipes if you havent already
Why would you store a white handbag without putting it in a protective dust bag?
That's on you not LV
That Gucci With Hearts 💕 Gorgeous 🥰
The hype is as dull as dishwater, I think it’s not worth buying.
I would carefully dab the stains on the bag with a cotton swab and stain remover (e.g. turpentine or nail polish remover). There is also a brush cleaner available at hardware stores. This removes sticky, dark stains and also adhesive residues.
Nail polish remover will destroy the surface. It has to be something more delicate than that.
I Love This Collection ❤ I Have The Alma From The First Collection And So Wanted A Bandeau In White But Wasn't Able To Get It 😢 I Have Some Labubus 🩷💜🤎
