I looked at Leica's Noctivid, Zeiss's Victory's, and these, and I opted for the Swarovski el 10x42 with the "Field Pro" enhancements in the end. In terms of sharpness, these three are very similar in that they are razor sharp (which you would expect nothing less of at this price point). What set apart the Swarovski's for me, frankly, was the incredible colour neutrality compared to the other two: literally, for me, like looking through your own eyes at distance, but seemingly brighter and sharper even. Strange sensation, but brilliant. The Leica's I found too contrasty for my liking, and the Zeiss's appeared too warm in colour tone. The Swaros are very natural in terms of colour and contrast control, with no obvious chromatic aberrations to note or to distract either. Optically and in terms of build quality, these Swarovski's are amazing, and whilst expensive (for sure), you will never tire of the clarity, edge to edge sharpness and that very stable field flattening which eliminates all perceivable distortion (no pin cushion or rolling ball distortion I can see that is either obvious or distracting to boot). When you are looking at objects / nature from a point of view of appreciating high detail, these cannot currently be beaten, in my opinion. I think the Zeiss's feel better in terms of balance, but I prefer the subjective performance of the Swaros. The Leica's are certainly excellent, well made and optically excellent too, but I really wanted ACCURATE colours and contrast as close as possible to what the eye can see. The Leica's remind me a little of when you have boosted the saturation and contrast a touch in Adobe Lightroom. Really pleased I acquired a pair. Also worthy of note: the new adjustable neck strap and lugs are very innovative, the lens caps great, and I actually like the focus of the Swaros: the 2.5 turns enables very fine focus adjustments while targets are on the move in your field of view, and weighted just right. Superb

Good video, thank you. I recently bought a pair and they're as good as you say. A greatly superior image to that of the Swarovski Habicht 10x40s which I've used for birdwatching for the last 25 years - those are not at all bad, but the SVs are in a class of their own. A number of reviews suggest they may well claim to be the best that money can buy.
