To everyone complaining. I've sent countless pairs away for the same refurb. Could be brand new or 20 years old. Not one case cost the customer a penny. Just sayin

I got charged 180 for replacing the objective lens and sun shade for my spotter, which isn't too bad imo. I think it depends on whether what you want is on their warranty or not.

I can only talk about Swarovski UK and when I phoned them up because I managed to lose my eyecup somehow. Within 48 hours of my phone call I had a completely new set of top and bottom cups delivered by first class mail free of charge. I love my EL 8x32 and my ATS65 and the bins themselves are really amazing.

Outstanding customer service. Just had my 20-60x eyepiece cleaned. It had some condensation inside. Swaro North America took care of the problem. Perfect!

Please tell us , why is the current EL 8.4 x42 Swarovski not sold with a padded storage carry-bag? Instead we get a soft cloth type draw string storage bag! A bit cheap considering the huge outlay one has to splash out on the optics alone!

Here is my story so far with my EL 8,5x42 that I got from a friend and he had it after his mother who recently passed away. My binocular was build in 2002 according to the id no and when I got it some parts were missing and worn. I had no lens covers for the front lenses, one small plastic piece that holds the strap was broken, some cracks in the rubber at the Eye cups and no bag. I contacted Swarovski some weeks ago and now all parts are complete and the charged me nothing. They still take responsibillity for their fourteen year old product and you know what, I have sixteen years of warranty left on the binocular and I have no doubt they will help me in the future if I have to send it to them for some sevice.

Swarovski have excellent customer service. Here in the UK I bought a pair of Swarovski Habicht Diana 10x40s in 1990. After a few months the focus wheel developed a tiny amount of slack - not a big deal at all but in a rather OCD way I thought it would be nice to get them perfect again and took them to a local optical dealer, assuming he'd do the adjustment himself. I went to collect them after a couple of weeks & the guy presented them to me working perfectly, having sent them back to Austria. There was a job note with them, remarking (in German) "Complaint!". It still embarrasses me a bit as the issue was so trivial. There was no charge.
I've had 25 years use of that pair, and they have been superb for birding. They're still fine, but in retirement I'm treating myself to a pair of EL Swarovison 10x42s and they will doubtless be even better. All the online reviews suggest you can't buy better bins at any price.

Nice. I had to send my CL 3x80 and SLC 8x42 for service solely due to operator error. Great service on both from the NH office.
Can you show a better close up/ video on setting the diopter?

I sent my el 12 in because looking through them one side wasn't even and one glass had a tiny nick on the object glass ,anyway I sent in in with order # and a brief description of what was wrong ,and I forgot to mention the small nick on the glass, so I figured Swarovski would inspect the binos front to back and get that nick fix ,couple weeks later I got the binos back the alignment was fixed but not the nick ,I thought they would've taken care of that ,anyone know why they didn't fix it?

My choices for Swarovski binoculars according to type and size are as follows:
    Habicht 7×42
    Habicht 8×30 W
    Habicht10×40 W GA
    NL pure 12×42
    SLC 15×56 WB
This brand is considered one of the best that exists today, but unfortunately I do not have enough money to buy this product.
    good luck.

So if I drop my binoculars, and the objective lens cracks on a rock, will they replace them for free, or is that just Vortex?

Curious what it would cost to have them do that kind of rebuild on my binoculars, I'm guessing it wouldn't be covered under the warranty? Also would they tell me to take a walk if my binoculars were 11yrs old and past the 10yr warranty..

I'd rather buy a inexpensive Tasco set and use the savings to go on a trip! Most people will never be able to SEE the difference! And if you did, is it worth 10 times the cost? Spend $100 or Spend $1000+ not a tough choice in my book.

    • @colinkey7094
      @colinkey7094 4 года назад +3

Tasco optics are like looking through "bottle bottoms" and everybody and anybody can tell the difference between those and high-end Swaro, Leica and Zeiss binos. I presume you wear "pebble glasses" and use a white stick? I have three binoculars and three 'scopes, all Swaro or Leica, with a total value of £16,000 and yes, I can still afford to go on expensive trips. If you are SO poor then I think you need to find another hobby. You get what you pay for in this life.

It's a little ironic. For only one of many trips, he would give up such quality and clarity that he has never even seen... The irony is that he could take his brilliant Swaro's on every subsequent trip and make these trips even better, every time... Tasco!?... Can't see the difference... As if.
