Yeah susanoomon is kind of like Royal Knight or 7DL where it has an "exodia" style effect. Of course, against a deck that also isn't really slow like Lucemon, like... say... Numemon or AncientGarurumon, it just gets completely run over. It's worth noting you have 0 protection too; and unlike RK/7DL; you're not throwing out giant blockers or removal effects. Let's just say there's a reason why Unified Spirits hasn't won a single event since BT18 came out.
@@pn2294MagnaGaruru is absurdly fast at generating resources (especially with Ukkos), has a solid offense, and the Promo Armor MagnaGaruru is just a 2-card OTK off anything. I'd say it's pretty bonkers overall.
Amazing match. Digimon Frontiers is my favorite and so amazing how they made the deck play the respective tamers for emperorgreymon and magnagarurumon. So awesome, finally getting Lucemons other forms and Susanoomon Ace is amazing.
Once again was hoping you made another deck with my baby Susanoomon I was always a fan of frontier and it will always be my #1 digimon series Thank you guys so much definitely building both these decks.
While I'm glad it doesn't always happen, so the outcome is never fully known from the outset, it _does_ give me a sense of satisfaction when the good guy wins these "hero vs. villain" matchups.

What a match! Hybrids are going to be a major player in the BT18/19 meta when they hit out in the West. That clutch at the end was brilliant! I'm definitely going to build a Lucemon deck when the cards are released; might need blocker support to protect it from said clutch though!
Honestly Lucemon was looking super dope getting satan mode onto the field so easily. But then susanoomon was just like "thats a nice security you got there. Would be a shame if it didn't exist." Would lucemon would have won if there was a blocker on the field? Or would have susanoomon deleted that too?
If they had Shoto to give Satan Blocker They could have survived a turn longer but that is about it. Lucemon is still an incomplete deck with only barebones of support. Susanoomon in turn is fully finished
Had it been the case that there was another Larva in the battle area with blocker then yes, he could have won if Kaisergreymon does not suspend it. Maybe if he had attacked earlier with the ukkomon searcher he could also win, because he'd delete both takuya and kojis when doing the double Satan Mode and Susanoo would have no tamer to attack at the end of turn
Actually more thrilling than the ending of Frontier! The way it should have worked VS the Vorthos of the story is much more interesting. Though hey Luecemon is a better digimon end boss too being so pesky to get rid of and nearly winning out the day by having a singular easy to follow goal: destroy all Tamers. All in all a thrilling showcase that displays how Hybrids are about to be less straightforward aggro and much more clever combo deck. A welcome change I think.
Excellently produced video as always but man I am not looking forward to all this chaotic hybrid support on top of the already annoying Imperial running rampant here in the states
So ruling wise you can place both, as a "red" and a "green" it's the same as davis looking for a blue and green from the top and you can pick 2 digimon that are both green/blue
Its sad that Lucemon had no chance against Susanoomon. They made the protagonists have a crazy deck as usual, and the antagonist gets a slow janky deck with barely any effects on it. It was sad seeing how much the tamers were doing vs how little Luce was able to do
Susanoomon has won literally 0 events in Japan, Unified Spirit is a dead-on-arrival archetype. Lucemon has won 2; it's the better deck in general. Unified Spirit is just way too slow and has no backbone, so it gets run over by any deck that isn't really slow itself. Lucemon has a backbone, it has removal effects and makes use of Shoto to give blocker to Lucemons. It's a slow deck however, so actually lets Susanoomon get it's gameplan off.
Looking at the decklist they made for Lucemon, there was no Shoto, and no Leviamon, both of which would help it survive. Not to mention the normal combo of putting the larva mode into security to warp Lucemon into chaos mode wasn’t shown off here either. The gameplay for the Lucemon deck just felt so off compared to what I’ve been seeing across other platforms.
I was making a hybrid deck for a fan made mtg commander like format and the susanoomom option initially couldn't use Zoe and Tommy for example cause they're both part red. Did the ruling change or was it a misplay?
@dudemondudeangel1956 but more importantly, they're both also red causing the problem. Initially there was no specification/exception for multi colored cards.
Can you have the lucemon satan mode go against a deck that doesn’t feel like the last move was immensly unfair? It kind of ruined the whole vid for me Like seriously, what was the point of the whole game? Was fantastic going back and forth, then you pulled some kind of plot armor move and ruined the entire match. And you ruined the match with my favorite archetype too.

No it was not a missplay, ruler of destruction and regeneration's text specifically says that it's color requirement can be ignored as long as there's a digimon with hybrid/ten warriors trait on the field. Emperorgreymon has the hybrid trait so it count.
@@leslyylsel6344 Tbf though he still misplayed because he added both of his Zoeys under Susanoomon when the card specifically states they have to have different colors and since both Zoey are Green/Red he should've only been able to add 1 of them.
