Make sure to soak the aloe vera for 30 minutes to an hour before cutting to remove the yellow sap, and soak again after peeling off the skin for another 30 minutes if you want to remove the bitterness completely or to make sure there’s no sap left. If soaked correctly or well enough, the aloe should taste like nothing by itself.
Another tip: If it’s your first time preparing aloe vera or you can’t cut the leaf because it’s too slimy, use a butter knife to separate the skin from the flesh

@@tracyjones9799 Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Hopefully I just opened a whole new world for you. Basically, some people are sensitive to it and some people are not. The best way I can describe it is triggering your tingles/goosebumps for relaxation and meditation purposes. People learn to trigger it by watching videos of people whispering, crinkling sounds, sounds of leather jackets, watching people perform certain tasks; stuff like that. I like watching people get shaves and haircuts. There's a whole world of ASMR out there for you to experiment with on youtube.

Now they are about 20 plants, most getting quite large, completely filling pot. It’s eat them or repot them.

I grew a few pots in my garden and cook them 3 to 4 times a year. After cutting from the plant, let the stalk stand a while , and also cut a few inches of the end edges - the yellow liquid like latex will drain out. That way the aloevera will not be bitter, even good enough to eat it raw. Cut into small squares in a bowl of canned lychee or logans
