Even at the base model it's a bit pricy but the quality and ecosystem is very good. A bit like apple except not as expensive. Only current issue I have is the keyboard isn't too great, which I would expect to be amazing on a 13 inch that can't play high end games. A good keyboard is key for productivity.
you need to narrow down things like, max budget, what size laptop works for your use-case, and most important of all is if you really desire the repair-ability aspect. If you want most fps per dollar you should get a old office pc and install a gpu. If you want the most performace per dollar in a laptop, get a used gaming laptop or any of the brand new laptops with similar specs to a framework for cheaper. Get a framework if you are going to upgrade for cheap in the future and know what you are doing.
I think that for the price, this factory seconds intel 11th gen one looks actually pretty good with a nice upgrade path. I would definitely recommend this one, it's basically a regular framework machine but cheaper and with minor quality issues The 16 is not the way to go for 99% of people, it is really expensive for what it is and I personally wouldn't go with such a new product, I'd wait a year a least for them to handle quality issues and for more support for addons. And of course if you're on a tight budget, there are better price to performance machines for the price that you could go with (although the build quality would be nowhere near the 13, it is really good, the best i've seen)
If you have all the stuff like wifi card, memory, and storage, you can get the factory seconds B stock + refurbished expansion cards pack for $533 before tax.
After using an AMD 7640u framework for about a month, i gotta say it is really nice. Out of my last 6 laptops, this is one of two that has lasted more than a month. two more weeks and it will beat the only one that lasted longer. Pretty good laptop apart from the worst low quality space bar ive ever seen but i love this laptop , I'm glad they're making cheaper options.
I got mine back in November and even though I but a dent in it because I squished the display cable between the bezel and frame, the laptop is still going strong. Putting that aside, your laptop going to last a while.
@@koisose0 No doubt these are such a well thought, well designed and increadible products they don't only work in any market they are today's need ,But as a Engineering Student I want a framework laptop but I don't know will I get one in India, could you also request them to come to Indian market. And thanks brother for having a conversation, which country are you from?
You can buy that separately or buy another laptop like a 2012 MacBook Pro. DVD takes up too much space and most people use digital media now, not discs.
It's USB-C, You either already have one or you can buy one with your purchase, it's on the build page so that you don't forget, the chargers are a little cheaper than Apple's
Making an absolute beast from an old netbook this summer. Thanks to your mainboard
Bring it to EU and I'm buying this summer ;)
Isn't it already available for purchase in the EU? I pre-ordered my Framework 16 months ago
@@frankyvb97 these are factory seconds, with small defects or not 100% up to manufacturing standards. Hence the lower pricing.
If only I wasn't BROKE
You can replace the broken part😂
I'm buying this now bring it to India
Please add shipments to México

Gears of Laptop
When in india ?
Please bring it to india
Only if they can manage to lower the prices. Indian market is huge, but budget laptops are king there. This laptop is anything but budget.
I'm getting this soon🎉
where can i buy this?
I need touch screen
Bring it to the uk
You can buy it in UK, I just ordered one
Not a B stock one though, they're out of stock
@@EmberTheFoxyFox EW A FURRY
@@saddish2816 Ew a child
my fave part of getting factory seconds was how it cam pre-loaded with so many torrented movies
VERY COOL
Could you explain? I'm confused
Yo,which configuration of the 13 or 16 should I get,if I want the most performance for a good price?

I think the bottom line of choice is whether you want the graphics card or not, it's only in Framework 16

September, not November.
Sheesh why do your laptops not last at all? Try a used Mac. However expensive they are, they’re very reliable, just get a case.
@@DengueBurger I'm not getting a Mac of all things especially not a used one, when I could use a framework 13
When this is coming to INDIA please
i think it will be out of stock immediately lol just because of how many software engineer there lol
@@koisose0 No it may not happen initially, but Framework is perfect for indian market.

Isn't there charger in it?
No, that is a customization option, it's very cheap
Please make a egpu and I would be 100% in
You can already use eGPU via Thunderbolt
Get thunderbolt module, done.
Yoooo I didn't even think about this, USB C module for the new framework is thunderbolt 4 :O
But there's not a DVD drive...

Who is using DVDs in 2024, get an external drive
And it comes without charging cable or brick? If this was Apple, people would be rioting!!
Apple quotes 200$ price for extra 4gb ram, no wonder people riot
