Eurasian Skylark

A winter visitor in Cyprus. Every year in the beginning of October huge numbers of Eurasian Skylarks arrive ignoring what is expecting them. Unfortunately they are in the top five in the list of most hunted birds in Cyprus. Every year thousands are being shot down by hunters for being a delicacy and because they consist easy targets due to their slow flying. Let's hope that these fellows survive the slaughter. Enjoy..

Hello, a very beautiful movie of you and great images!! Terrible to hear about the hunting and why doesn"t the goverment take action to stop this!!! All my movies are coming from a nature
reserve close to my hometown and fortunately there landed 38 skylarks last week and will stay there and breed.No danger for them for people because this a protected reserve.
