What a treat to listen to these folktales that you have worked hard to collect/research and share with us from your book. Also a plus for having the cat there too 🐈. Hope you're doing well!
Catherine, I saw your video with BALH and mentioned it and you (and book) on comment on a video about local history for Isle of Axeholme on a certain Hilbert's channel about history. His stuff is more academic, but his author guest said his mother was a keen local historian too.
A'reyt Catherine. 'Appen Father Christmas 'll fetch yon book, if ' 'ave been good? 'T wa' like Jackanory years sin'. I watched a recent livestream from that history chap, Hilbert. He and other academics were looking at such as folk tales and relating them to pre Christian myths. One was about ghosts that started ethereal and then took more solid form, as though zombies, like the crashed aircraft tale in your previous video. Another speaker was talking about snake and serpent tales. I reckon you would have been interested? Lovely cat. That setting is so like being in my parent's old home, as I commented before, including cat. I recently looked after a kitten for a week until it could go to the new owner. It was wild, but within a day it saw me as a food source. It was as if stuck to me until time to go to a forever home. My dog got its place back, beside me, safe there from firework bangs. I hope your book is on many a Christmas list.
Came for the folktales, stayed for the cute cat
That ginger kitty is definitely your biggest advocate!
This vibe is the best kind of autumn gold

Lochy Wood! Reepicheep enjoys a good dragon adventure tale, especially when read by our favorite historian.

Moreover: cuddly Cat.
Better with a dog?
