Borla sounds exactly like stock. Needs a resonator delete with an x pipe.
Resonator help with drone and also the exhaust starts to clap at high RPMs which sound like absolute garbage. Idk how people actually like things like straight pipes. Especially on a slow ass truck. It would be different if it was a car and it was fast.
Call dude backe with the 5.0 and tell him to cut that resonator off

The Blue Flame is mine, it was the three hour drive from Kentucky to Vanderbilt with my muff delete that had to go. Interior noise was too much, he recommended the Bullet and love how it turned out.
I know its just an exhaust tip but you guys giving it to the veteran was really cool!
I think the stock exhaust is louder than the borla 🤣🤣
Silver truck. Either remove the resonator or change to a throatier sounding Borla muffler.

The borla is perfect . Just enough sound but with much better flow than stock. Very nice truck.

Borla doesn't sound like stock to me, but that resonator is killing the sound. Also, the ProXS is their quietest muffler series.
Dynomax sounds way better than the borla....
I used a Borla 40085 XR-1 on my F150 and left the resonator on. Some days I wish it were louder but it’s good the way it is as it doesn’t drone and doesn’t interrupt phone calls. Would be louder than this PRO-XS I think.
Sick truck. I have pretty much the same truck but with the Corsa Sport pre tire exit. Absolutely love it.

Borla needs some improvements where as dynomax race bullets sounds perfect for my taste imo
both setups sound good, it's just different but both are cool
Blue sounds way better
Noticed nobody's mentioned that the 2022 and up 5.0 probably has cylinder deactivation, which sounds like crap with aftermarket exhaust, so the current tone is just right

I would go with the Borla, and he is right, best to start out by leaving the resonator on and seeing how you like it before you decide if you want to take it off, the guy with the Borla, perhaps he will want to take off his resonator

I think the Borla is too quiet. The resonator needs to come off. The Dynomax sounded great. I would put on a y-pipe after the muffler and have a pipe exiting out each side of the truck. That would sound epic.

Maybe the Borla guy is going home to install headers and off-road y-pipe, that'll wake it up and keep it from being too loud.
5.0 needs too be wayy louder
It was with the muff delete. I wanted to get rid of the rasp and a deeper tone. Plus this was a three and a half hour trip and the muff delete got old quick for interior drone noise.

What will happen if I replace the stock muffler with a resonator ? So it will has 2 stock resonators and no muffler
Nothing but you will get more sound out of it. Also better flow
That first one was a waste of money should just do a muffler delete. You can't have your cake and eat it too ..if you want sound it needs to be one or the other or a very small race muffler..or otherwise it will still sound stock
