@ 2:27 - Thats a Dover elevator with keypad, and buzzing chime for every floor that passes.. I wonder if this is still there, if they updated this as well.
The video screen on the right is a Captivate screen. I used to work for that company and we put those video screens in all over the country and Canada.

Nice!
The main elevators from 2-80 are OTIS Millar.
I've been to the top🗽 coming from California it was a privilege and a honor🛡️
The elevator from the 2nd floor to the 80th floor has been modded by Otis.
Is there a hydraulic elevator somewhere on the lowest level of the Empire State Building? I saw a clip of a low rise elevator.
there are dover elevators in the empire state building? i thought it was a otis compass/gen 2 only building.
I think they've done some elevator mods since I visited -- It's been nearly 10 years!

The antique elevator is now modernized
That manual was modernized to Compass.
Just about the book express tickets for this (and the restaurant) do i need to pre book in advance or can i just turn up for both?
I'm not exactly sure, but I think you can get tickets up when you arrive, but I have no idea about the restaurant.
How much buttons on therw
I don't remember exactly how many buttons there are but I would imagine not too many since these were the express elevators to the observation deck.
@@bandguymichael When I was there, I saw at least 10
The Observation deck elevator s from 80-86 are OTIS ReGen
I don't think that Miami Elevator with Impulse was in the ESB. It has a Maryland license.
The elevator from 86-102 is OTIS Lexan Series 7200
This looks like the Tower of Terror
Why???
Why would you call it such an unfortunate name?
When the elevator stops at the Empire State Building height
Don't take the elevator, just reported to fix-it. Jeez, what expect startled heartattack this! 😨
I was there in January 2017
