I the first trailer, a little fun fact is that Nous is beeping in morse code, and it translates to 42, a reference to hitchhikers guide to the galaxy of which the answer to life was the number 42. Nous does this cause it's a super computer literally designed to seek out the answer to life that ascended to aeonhood, and as such it came to the conclusion that the answer to life is 42.
I will try to explain these videos with lore information in summarized version because to understand you usually have to read a lot of stuff in the game which a lot of people get bored of doing. First video talks about each path (class) of a character and shows each path's Aeon (cosmic god). All of them up to The Harmony are character classes while the rest of the paths that go super fast are not, or maybe will be in the future. In game, some of them are a mechanic in a game mode like the Elation and Propagation. Second video talks about the Xianzhou Alliance, a faction made up of three races (human, foxian which are fox people, and vidyadhara which are dragon people). To sum it up, their civilization is made up of giant world-sized ships that act as artificial planets and are usually isolated from one another. They were cursed with immortality (the human race part) which was initially seen as a blessing from Yaoshi, Aeon (or god) of the Abundance. If they get too old they turn into corrupted beings. Just as they were on the brink of collapse, Lan, Aeon (god) of the Hunt saved them and now they follow him as their god. The video shows the seven generals that lead the seven world-sized ships of the Alliance. Now their mission is to follow Lan and hunt down Yaoshi and the worlds it tarnishes with their Abundance power. It is essentially a holy war. For context, the humans (Xianzhou Natives) are the ones that live forever until turned. The Foxians are fox people that live for a few centuries and do NOT turn. The Vidyadhara are dragon-like people that are NOT cursed either BUT instead their shtick is they go through reincarnation back into eggs and hatch as babies and lose memories of their former lives. They can also not reproduce so their eggs are very precious and guarded or they'll go extinct. The third video talks about Kafka and her squad of Stellaron Hunters and all the trouble they cause. They follow Elio who can apparently see the future. All the things they do are supposedly to shape the future he sees. They consist of (what we know for now) Kafka, Blade, Silverwolf, and Sam. Sam is not introduced in game yet but he is that mech robot guy. The fourth video talks about Long the Permanence, a dragon-like Aeon now missing or dead. His scions or descendants are those of the Vidyadhara which are part of the Xianzhou. Each name shows the High Elder of each seven ships. For every Xianzhou ship there is one General and one High Elder with the exception of the Fanghu ship since she is both High Elder AND General. Her ship is the ONLY one with mainly Vidyadhara people and with special autonomy from the rest of the ships. Each High Elder is responsible for leading and guiding their dragon race on each ship and guarding the plaguemarks so that no one can use them and release the Abundance powers again and cause disaster. A plaguemark is a trace left by the Abunance before Lan saved them. They call Yaoshi the Plague Author and Lan the Rainbow Arbiter for future reference. The Fifth video shows Jingliu and Yanqing (Jing Yuan's student). I recommend you watch the animated short for Jing Yuan because it explains a LOT of the story for her and her relationship with him. Jingliu is the next upcoming character in the game. I will only say that she is not the same as she once was, she once had the same ambition and mind as Yanqing when she asks him her questions.

Video 2: Reignbow Arbiter is basically a Xianzhou (3rd playable world) nickname for the aeon of The Hunt. Video 3: the impressive thing is that wasn’t even a real trial - that was simply Kafka “playing with her food” for her own entertainment. She had full mental control of the Japella Brotherhood, so she was basically trying herself. Video 4: you’re not the only one that can’t keep up with that one. Video 5 is a highly stylized version of a part of a character story quest that takes place in the game, only this time more from Jingliu’s perspective. And, like everything else Jingliu in this game, AmaLee KILLED the voice acting.
The gods/beings in the first trailer all repesent a path/personal belief firstly and all of the ones that are apart of the first 7 are a class in Star Rail. People who follow the path of The Abundance are Healers, those on the path of The Erudition search for knoledge and are AOE, not all playabpe charecters nessisarily follow the exact path of their Aeon/God but close enough.

To clarify the lore, the "gods" you saw are called Aeons. They can be organic or inorganic. What they are aren't really "gods", that is, they do not seek worship because they simply exist. They are the epitome of their namesakes, meaning they embody the concepts given in their title. For example Yaoshi, The Abundance, embodies the idea of rampant evolution and adaptation... to the point where it becomes detrimental. Nanook, The Destruction, does not adhere to any particular reason or method of killing people, they just simply erase their identity from existence for the sake of erasure. Qlipoth, The Preservation, protects that which it deems worthy of existing, to the point where it will not let its subjects leave its idea of their ideal form. Lan, The Hunt, will forever pursue that which it deems unworthy of existing, particularly abominations of the Abundance in order to exact balance and proof of the survivors' existence. Akivili, the Trailblaze, is the path we currently walk upon, it is the concept of exploration and pushing the boundaries of our fate, the idea that we all have an ultimate goal to achieve and will usher those who follow it to their destinations. Aha, The Elation, ascended to the highest point of existence in the universe, only to look down at the futility of the fates of all people in the grand scheme of the infinite vastness of space, so they chose to laugh and revel in the madness to enjoy what little meaning there is to the value of life. Unlike different mythos where gods tend to have smaller subset of very particular powers (ex. control over fire, electricity, wind, weather, oceans, etc. etc.), Aeons' have influence over universal concepts, and if other Aeons would challenge them in a similar manner of function, they get incorporated into the winner's path, losing the universal struggle of power because their concept proved stronger or more beneficial to existence. In the traditional theism model, all of the gods would coexist to form a world, but Aeons would seek to prove themselves THE ONLY necessary concepts (but that doesn't necessarily mean they all want to compete).

@@TheFutureDothDream - No other evidence exists aside from the fact they look alike. There are multiple theories around it though which increases the chances. They're still related in some way like how Aether's color scheme is the same as the train. Also, like how Aether and Lumine travels from world to world but trapped in Teyvat. Akivili disappeared in HSR, Himeko found the train with no owner and the twins are trapped in Teyvat. This further supports that GI and HSR are connected and the twins might the the ones called Akivili or at least held that name once.
I do not think Honkai Star Rail will be more light hearted than Genshin the story is just in the beginning so it is more correct to compare current Honkai Star Rail story to Liue and that is not dark

Lan, The Hunt, will forever pursue that which it deems unworthy of existing, particularly abominations of the Abundance in order to exact balance and proof of the survivors' existence. Akivili, the Trailblaze, is the path we currently walk upon, it is the concept of exploration and pushing the boundaries of our fate, the idea that we all have an ultimate goal to achieve and will usher those who follow it to their destinations. Aha, The Elation, ascended to the highest point of existence in the universe, only to look down at the futility of the fates of all people in the grand scheme of the infinite vastness of space, so they chose to laugh and revel in the madness to enjoy what little meaning there is to the value of life.
Unlike different mythos where gods tend to have smaller subset of very particular powers (ex. control over fire, electricity, wind, weather, oceans, etc. etc.), Aeons' have influence over universal concepts, and if other Aeons would challenge them in a similar manner of function, they get incorporated into the winner's path, losing the universal struggle of power because their concept proved stronger or more beneficial to existence. In the traditional theism model, all of the gods would coexist to form a world, but Aeons would seek to prove themselves THE ONLY necessary concepts (but that doesn't necessarily mean they all want to compete).

@@TheFutureDothDream - No other evidence exists aside from the fact they look alike. There are multiple theories around it though which increases the chances. They're still related in some way like how Aether's color scheme is the same as the train. Also, like how Aether and Lumine travels from world to world but trapped in Teyvat. Akivili disappeared in HSR, Himeko found the train with no owner and the twins are trapped in Teyvat. This further supports that GI and HSR are connected and the twins might the the ones called Akivili or at least held that name once.
