Spinning at the Breede PART 3/3 (of targeting Spotted Grunter Series)

Hi RUclipsrs!
Here is the final part of the series,
This was purposed to be one video put together, but decided to make it a 3 part series, if you missed the first 2 videos, please go check it out.
I tried spinning and honestly it's not as easy as it looks.
I walked spot after spot, cast after cast and didn't even get a bump..
Then i met Sean, what a nice guy.
I saw him there in the morning and i was tempted to go and ask for help.. but didn't want to bother him.... Then late afternoon, i just got back from spinning with some paddle tails, i saw him again and asked if i can watch what he does and he immediately gave me some useful tips.
On this trip i did not catch a decent fish on lure, but honestly, i gained skill and that is much more valuable.
As the saying goes, " Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you feed him forever"
So really looking forward to go back and target some top water fish!!

pragtige vis! Blykbaar mnoet mens nie haastig wees met topwater lure nie. Laat hom na paar bewegings le...grunter gryp hom dan. Die paddltail is glo ook n subtiele beweging op bodem...nie te hoog optel nie.

@@saltaholic5235 Jis, was nou n week daar. Uitgegaan op boot op rivier. 17 juvenile leeries in 30 miIn gevang. op Kingfisher anchovy spinner. ook vir Zander raakgeloop. Hy het glo 6 grunter op topwater gekry en ons paar tips gegee. My swaer en sy laatie het hul eerste grunter op topwater ooit gekry 2 dae later. Ek een verloor op n strike. Grrrrr...eendag.

Awesome videos, 👌, I've watched it a few times. It brought back memories of the many times my buddy I walked up the river and fished until we ran out of food and bait standing waste deep in the water, that was before we knew about the sharks. We haven't fished their ever since. We stick to the surf and reefs now hehe.

Thanks man, that what it's all about.. glad it gave you motivation, the funny thing is the fish are there.. they just not interested in the action you give the lure, soon as you change it they start hitting it

took my 2 years to catch my first grunt on topwater. then just when I thought It was easy I started blanking again....grunter has a way to keep you grounded and modest.

Artificial fishing is vrek lekker. Ek het baie so gehengel in Kleinbrak en Gouritz riviere toe ekke in Mosselbaai gebly het. Sommige dae moet jy maar met jou retrieve speel. Chop en change totdat jy agter kom wat hulle soek. Bucktail jigs (wit) is ook koning in die riviere

Lekke man, Jw die ding hier naby is nie daai tipe revier nie mar ek like dit. Will baie graag dit meer doen, as ek nog net so 2 sessies da kon spin het ek dalk iets ordentlik gehak, dalk 🤣

How do you get so far up river on foot...do you walk from witsand or is there places you can access via farm roads
