RID 2001 needs some more updates in legacy. Scourge and Towline are good, but I’d love to see more like Sky Byte, Sideburn, or even having hasbro try a combiner like Landfill or Rail Racer

Man the colors just look funky and I love it. Being a big fan of RID01 it’s nice to see other characters besides Scourge. Fingers crossed we get a new take on the Autobot Brothers and possibly a core class version of the Spy Changers

@@chefatron to be fair the Sideswipe mold is perfect for RID Prowl. Perhaps the a huge retool on the Tracks mold for Sideburn the one I’m looking forward to the most.

yup, but I think this is a one-off... I don't think they plan on doing RID 2000 figures anytime soon... they probably just wanted to repaint this mold and couldn't think of any other character...
Like the Scrap Hook mold and colors better. This looks similar to the R.I.D. character but, it also looks like it should be surrounded by plastic eggs and fake grass.

Congrats on getting Tow-Line Chefatron!!! For being a repaint with a new head of Scraphook, this figure looks incredible, a fantastic update of the original figure. :D Keep on being amazing.

When is this figure scheduled to be released, and what store will he likely be in?
I've heard him referred to as both Legacy, and Buzzworthy, and of course I'm aware he's not on shelves yet since I've only seen two or three people review him thus far, so I'm just curious if any details are known regarding his possible distribution.
Just absolutely love the fun, garish colors, and that head sculpt is really nice-looking, so he's one I don't want to miss.
it's already out in some countries in Asia
in the US I believe it's a Target exclusive since in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee sub-line

Overall I like the figure but I feel the Mad Max design of the vehicle mode could have been dialed back with some minor remolding.

They should hire the all the original toymakers that worked for Hasbro and are still when they were putting out G1 Transformers because ones like this one suck when it comes to the transformation, and the ones making Transformers now don't know crap about how to make them. I can't get those arms in for the back, and they keep popping out if I try because they don't know how to make Transformers, and that happens with just about every Deluxe class Transformer I get anymore. Even back in the Armada days, the Transformers were so easy that I could figure them out without having to look at a video; but they didn't have RUclips back then.

The colors and new headsculpt looks great and very accurate but I wish they did more alternate toolings to make it a lil closer to his original design instead of mostly just being a recolor

So I liked the transformers RID for some of the toys, they reused a lot of the great old g2 and beast machines molds, back then I loved how much articulation you got with some of those molds hell I still mess with my old G2 spacecase jet because of that reason, then Armada came along and I couldn't wait to get the Starscream mold and then I got the original Armada Starscream and say what the articulation was and I was kind of disappointed which is why I only got that toy, now of course around that time in the 2000's I was really into Gundam model kits and that spoiled me in regards to articulation. Lol

I hope this means we'll get a Machine Wars Hubcap repaint in the future. Hubcap is oldest childhood Transformer I have in my collection, and I have always had a soft spot for him.

I just got Scrap Hook last week and he is decent. I do like these colors more, an RiD2001 design done RIGHT unlike poor Velocitron Scourge. The colors remind me of the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo.

I’m not gonna lie despite being a retool, I kinda like this a little better the colors look a little cooler, and I’m kind of not a fan of Tow line’s original design
