I think the keymaster is a wanderer who has managed to survive ever level and was gifted his special power by a strong entity for his bravery, sort of like a medal of honour. He is trying to remember how he got to the level with the entity and that’s why he looks so confused… or he is trying to remember what his task is now, since he has practically been everywhere at this point.

If someone was born in the Backrooms, can Pinhead do anything to them? He can't send them back to their house in the real world, since they don't have one.
I think Pinhead may still send them to the real world, the torment may continue to simply be that our "reality" is their "backrooms" since it'd be completely alien to them. Seeing the real world and all it's people could be a psychological torment in and of itself, and nothing ever feels correct to the dreamer. In terms of what Pinhead may say, possibly "you don't belong/will never fit in" or something along those lines?
How to beat pinhead: Sleep outside during the day, perferably on the floor to spite him and maybe beat him a couple times but ultimately sleep in bright places etc.

With how oddly specifically designed some of the entity's traits are, it makes me think that some of them are like..... fictional characters, somehow manifest in the backrooms. From multi media, so like, videogame characters / NPCs, book characters, movies etc.

Kane Pixels by far has the best interpretation of the Backrooms. There’s only one entity (possibly two?) in his interpretation. You barely see it and he gives no info or explanation on it.

Yeah, people harp on about how its less scary now. And how it was "supposed" to be like what it was originally. And yeah, it's not scary at all anymore imo. But I couldn't care less honestly, cus its just so fun! It's like SCP, but more chill, abstract, and goofy and I like that. Not for everyone for sure, but it's a fun time for those who like it. And this new direction doesn't erase the old stuff, so people who only liked the "one creepy level" thing can just.. not engage with all the other stuff? I don't get why that's hard lol
My thought on these Imposters… if they don’t revert to some “true form” upon death, maybe it’s because they don’t have one. Perhaps they imitate others because that’s the only way they can exist- they have no form of their own so they MUST take up someone else’s. For something like this, I could imagine their greatest desire would be to have an identity, so they find the human settlements and try to live among the humans as one of them. Their goals could certainly be nefarious, but it’s not a guaranteed thing.

I have a theory about what happens to the bones that gets "stolen" by bone thieves, the bones probably gets transported to level 💀 hence why there are so many skeletons inside that level
Maybe the bone thieves transport your bones to level 7, and the transportation process might deform the bones, explaining the weirdness with the skeletons in level 7

Seems reasonable to me to assume any entity's that have extensive knowledge of the backrooms could be wanderers who have found strength and power wandering the near infanate levels of the backrooms.
I feel like the Backrooms would make an awsome campaign setting, especially for horror. This place has different locations to exploree, a variety of enemies to fight, NPCs to interact with and encounter, pets to tame, and different factions and groups to ally with or fight against.
I can't even go through horror house I spent money and get scared on seeing the guy who takes the tickets, I would die of a heart attack if I no clipped into a fucking maze which looks like empty office house.

Also, the Volatile infection (right after the Death Ostrich) is actually from a video game called Dying Light, in which Volatiles are enemies that spawn at night (in the DLC, you can enter their hives and destroy them, causing less Volatiles to spawn on future nights)
The thing he forgot about the keymaster is that he only grants one wish. If you ask him for almond water, he will give it to you but not a key. Also, he seems to forget about earlier interactions hence his confused state. This means he can forget the encounter and come back granting you another wish. This is Keymaster. Edit: since its pride month, the wikipedia was heavily edited one day because of an argument if he was non-binary or not. It is confirmed that he is a dude but people in lgbt will confirm for not a doubt that he is non binary. Also it was taken out that he gives hugs for free.

Maybe if the kid traveled to a different level then pinhead would show what was happening in the level he/she was born in
I think Pinhead may still send them to the real world, the torment may continue to simply be that our "reality" is their "backrooms" since it'd be completely alien to them. Seeing the real world and all it's people could be a psychological torment in and of itself, and nothing ever feels correct to the dreamer. In terms of what Pinhead may say, possibly "you don't belong/will never fit in" or something along those lines?

Yeah, people harp on about how its less scary now. And how it was "supposed" to be like what it was originally. And yeah, it's not scary at all anymore imo. But I couldn't care less honestly, cus its just so fun! It's like SCP, but more chill, abstract, and goofy and I like that. Not for everyone for sure, but it's a fun time for those who like it. And this new direction doesn't erase the old stuff, so people who only liked the "one creepy level" thing can just.. not engage with all the other stuff? I don't get why that's hard lol
My thought on these Imposters… if they don’t revert to some “true form” upon death, maybe it’s because they don’t have one. Perhaps they imitate others because that’s the only way they can exist- they have no form of their own so they MUST take up someone else’s. For something like this, I could imagine their greatest desire would be to have an identity, so they find the human settlements and try to live among the humans as one of them. Their goals could certainly be nefarious, but it’s not a guaranteed thing.

I have a theory about what happens to the bones that gets "stolen" by bone thieves, the bones probably gets transported to level 💀 hence why there are so many skeletons inside that level

I feel like the Backrooms would make an awsome campaign setting, especially for horror. This place has different locations to exploree, a variety of enemies to fight, NPCs to interact with and encounter, pets to tame, and different factions and groups to ally with or fight against.
I can't even go through horror house I spent money and get scared on seeing the guy who takes the tickets, I would die of a heart attack if I no clipped into a fucking maze which looks like empty office house.

Also, the Volatile infection (right after the Death Ostrich) is actually from a video game called Dying Light, in which Volatiles are enemies that spawn at night (in the DLC, you can enter their hives and destroy them, causing less Volatiles to spawn on future nights)

The thing he forgot about the keymaster is that he only grants one wish. If you ask him for almond water, he will give it to you but not a key. Also, he seems to forget about earlier interactions hence his confused state. This means he can forget the encounter and come back granting you another wish. This is Keymaster.
Edit: since its pride month, the wikipedia was heavily edited one day because of an argument if he was non-binary or not. It is confirmed that he is a dude but people in lgbt will confirm for not a doubt that he is non binary. Also it was taken out that he gives hugs for free.
