marcy and andrias's relationship is heartbreaking because despite his cruelty in the end, you can tell that they had a bond and genuinely cared for each other. andrias was actually interested in marcy's interests, he read her books, he was impressed by her intelligence. and marcy felt validated by someone caring and being invested in the things she liked, a feeling she probably didn't get from anne and sasha back home. they were truly friends, yet in his rage at his own friends' betrayal all those centuries ago, he betrayed marcy as well. i think he was so bitter that not only did he literally stab her in the back, but he revealed a secret that he knew would drive a rift between her and her friends. but he cared. in anne's own words, he closed himself off from the world, but as the latest episode showed, he truly, deeply cared about marcy, and in the end gave up his cause to beg anne to "save marcy. you must... save marcy." even as he was fatally wounded. i think it's too late to make amends. i don't think marcy can forgive him for what he did. but at the very least, it was not too late to save marcy. i don't know if he'll survive the finale, but if he doesn't, he can at least die knowing marcy was saved.

While all you said is true, recent developments have revealed how even such an openly villainous person can actually still be sympathetic on some level. Andrias is proud, yes, of his kingdom and its former greatness, but he is just as desperate for the one thing he's never been able to get: his father's approval and respect. The Core has been ruthlessly manipulating him and, very likely, his entire bloodline, for millennia. He's not redeemed, but he's at least a little relatable to anyone who's had a domineering parent/demanding family. Friends and such are great, but it's the people you live with who shape you the most, for better or for worse.

Yeah, I've struggled with that, which is why I double check, triple, even quadruple check with my relatives on it to see if there's anything I need to do before the upload, same thing with my scripts so I can get as input on them as possible. Good note though, I'll definitely keep that in mind

It is different from from a lions pride but they both reflect on how Andrias wanted a pride of friends like lions but instead he took the seven deadly sins pride similar to dragon ball’s vegeta who talks about ancestral saiyan pride just like Andrias. Get reflection.
I'm really curious, how do you feel about what the show did later with Andrias? The whole reveal with the Core and how Andrias has been basically pressured by his ancestors into doing this. Does this diminish him as a villain? Make him more tragic?
I personally found it interesting and cool to see that they gave him a specific motivation behind how he came to act as the tyrant we see him in S2. He genuinely seemed like a good prince, especially with how he cared about his connection to his friends, but it has the tragic pressure of his father, his ancestors, and their legacy that he unfortunately was forced into caring more about what they stood for instead of caring about the connections that he has outside of his family
Yeah, even looking back it doesn't fit, but it just worked the best for me while I was writing the script for this, so I didn't really think too much else on changing it.

And being manipulated by an even worse villain: *THE CORE*. Plus, Andrias doesn't really want to be evil; he was also secretly guilty and desperate for a way back to what made him happy in the past.
He is a good example of a twist villain, as his personality didn't do a complete flip. He maintains his fun quirkiness while displaying his pride and pain. His switch is actually believable and his character didn't collapse bc of it.

I'm really curious, how do you feel about what the show did later with Andrias? The whole reveal with the Core and how Andrias has been basically pressured by his ancestors into doing this. Does this diminish him as a villain? Make him more tragic?
I personally found it interesting and cool to see that they gave him a specific motivation behind how he came to act as the tyrant we see him in S2. He genuinely seemed like a good prince, especially with how he cared about his connection to his friends, but it has the tragic pressure of his father, his ancestors, and their legacy that he unfortunately was forced into caring more about what they stood for instead of caring about the connections that he has outside of his family

Forgtastic One Villain scene!
I think Andries’s only flaw is that he’s yet another Disney twist villain who was secretly evil the whole time.
And being manipulated by an even worse villain: *THE CORE*. Plus, Andrias doesn't really want to be evil; he was also secretly guilty and desperate for a way back to what made him happy in the past.
He is a good example of a twist villain, as his personality didn't do a complete flip. He maintains his fun quirkiness while displaying his pride and pain. His switch is actually believable and his character didn't collapse bc of it.
