some of your wedding culture almost the same as our malays wedding in Malaysia. We have to put a money inside the envelope to hands off it to the groom or bride relatives, but most of our malays wedding will took place at their own house and their could be a chances for family gathering at night as well. and yeah, malays wedding took at least a day to settled own because at that time, all of our relative, far or closer coming back and enjoy their moment as cousin etc in one days. Talks and makes jokes with the groom or brides before theirs night.... much love
Cambodian wedding is very different from Korean wedding(except the money part hahahaha) . Cambodian wedding lasts for 1and half to 2 days ( now mostly short cut it it supposed to be 3days some even last for a week depend on the wealth of the family ) and usually it is very big with a lot of guests from both side . The wedding include many small events and bride and groom costumes change many times. And about the invitation is paper like card and in it has a small envelope for the money (colorful matching color with the card ) the schedule of the wedding the thanks letter from the parents and the apology letter for not handed the invitation in person . In the card the groom ,bride , parents from both side names will be written on the card the date of the wedding was written, the venue and the map of the venue will also be drawn in that card . There are many many more differences between Cambodian and Korean wedding .
As an Indian this wedding was really very very very short.....as Indian weddings lasts for 5-6 days and relatives start to come a month before. It is all full of chaos and enjoyment. We people too gives envelope but it is not compulsory to give....instead of money we can give them grains or anything they need..... without mantra and shlok Indian wedding is incomplete. But Korean wedding is like a fairytale wedding.
Well weddings in Scotland are usually a whole day thing. You have the actual wedding ceremony and then you sometimes have a meal (usually only at more expensive weddings )and then the after party where everybody gets drunk like really drunk. We have bridesmaids groomsmen and flower girls which are friends and family or there own children. But basically you say the i do’s and then get drunk that’s Scotland for you 😂
Very interesting. Really lovely and elegant! There is such a variety of ceremonies and receptions in America. We are Catholic, and our wedding took an hour because it was a Nuptial Mass in a Catholic Church. We then had hors d'oeuvres, wedding cake and champagne with our guests at our reception.
iam an indian. its super different. indian wedding takes min 5 days (depending upon family tradition it take even more days for all rituals to get over). but those days are full of fun and more than 2000 people are invited on wedding day. we miss those days due this pandemic............
Thanx for this vid! :) I had to find a wedding from a different culture and summarize it for my homework at university, cheers! ") I'm from Poland and I'm super jealous of how fast Korean weddings are since in Poland the celebration lasts a whole day and night, people dance and drink alcohol until they're basically dead, hahaha! I usually get so tired at some point, but don't wanna miss out on anything so always staying until the morning :D HAHAH! Here we also give cash, but to the family it's double than what you give or sometimes people buy gifts worth of like 250 dollars! Stay safe during the pandemic :)
Bangladeshi and Indian wedding ceremonies are completely different. The wedding ceremony lasts for 4-5 days.We have as much fun as you. Music, dance, DJ all night long. We can come and eat for free without any gift if we want. 😁😁😁
In south africa we also have two types of weddings and we have places that are for weddings only so Korean weddings are similar to south african weddings but our weddings usually last the whole day
In the United States, there is usually a wedding rehearsal for the bridal party and their families the day before the wedding which will include a dinner after the rehearsal. This is usually when the marriage license is signed for legal purposes. Then the bride and groom are not supposed to see each other until the wedding because it is considered bad luck. The next day the bride spends time getting ready with her close family and bridesmaids and the groom gets ready separately. There is a wedding ceremony either in a church or in a wedding venue and is usually less than an hour. Afterward there is a private reception, which includes dinner and dancing. This reception is only for the guests of this wedding alone and usually last several hours. It surprised me when you ate your meal with guests of other weddings in Korea. Almost everyone will give a gift or give money at the reception but is not required. There is a cake which the bride and groom will cut and feed to each other. At the end there's a bouquet toss to single ladies and the groom removes a garder from the bride's leg and tosses to single men. Whoever catches these is supposedly the next one to get married (but usually not true, just a superstition). When the bride and groom leave, the guests will sometimes throw rice at them (or release bubbles, balloons or butterflies) and they will get into a decorated car to head off to the honeymoon. I'm not saying all weddings are like this but this is a traditional wedding, like you would see in movies.
Korean wedding is too short ,but Indian weddings nowadays takes at least 5 days , at our grandfather's days it goes 30 days all our relatives are come together and enjoy all wedding day's .we have lot of traditional things to do at wedding
I think bangladeshi wedding is much longer than this they start preparing for wedding before 1 month and there are many things like engagement, mehendi, Gaye holod and then wedding so before these thing there are many rituals to do and it keep going everyday I think it last atleast 4 days (In city's) and if you combine all rituals and wedding so it last till 1 month In villages wedding last 2 days Gaye holod and then mehendi at the same time and then wedding And in bangladesh they prefer gifts more than money And they dance and singing its too much fun Bangladesh - 4 or 2 days Korea - less than a hour Too much different
It is not at all similar.... But that money method is same... We celebrate marriage for months together.... Nearly 8 months... With 5 to 6 main occasions... And the marriage ceremony will alone be held for about 3 to 4 hours... And we will be eating for the whole day😅
Omg this is so intresting a congolese (Congo is in Africa) wedding is always a whole day and the preparation is also longer. As gifts we also give me money but also stuff like Washington machines and refridgerator and many home goods and make up and clothes for the women. I also didnt saw ans Dancing you dont dance at the wedding?
I am Korean. Modern Korean wedding are a joke. Its all about the money and you only get 30-60mins at the venue. After the ceremony you go to the venue buffet and eat. Nothing spectacular. I haven’t experienced any traditional weddings myself but im sure they are much better.
In Indian wedding there is no restriction on people like any one can join the wedding and gives blessings to bride and bridegroom and most important wedding held in night it takes around 7-8 hours for finish on the next day at 5am its over but also after wedding there is lots of fun with family ,relatives and friends 😁
Korean weddings seem similar but also very different than weddings in Scotland. The modern style of wedding, with a white dress and walking down the aisle is the same. In the UK we don’t have specialised conference centres designed for weddings, people get married in lots of different places. The closest example I could find to this wedding venue in the UK would be a registry office. Weddings and other ceremonies take place there, but they aren’t as luxurious and you don’t get served food (in fact you can’t even bring food with you there either). They are usually located in local government buildings. A lot of couples choose to get married in country houses which are big grand old buildings. Or nice hotels, or sometimes people get married on the beach. I’ve been to a wedding in a forest before, so you can’t really predict where the couple will choose to get married but it’s usually somewhere local so everyone who is invited can attend. After the wedding, all of the guests and the wedding party go to a big dining room with a dance floor. First we toast the couple, have a meal, people make speeches at the head table (that’s where the newlyweds and their close family all sit) There’s usually a DJ or a band, and then the party starts and people start to drink and dance and have fun. The bride and groom cut the cake, the bride dances with her father, then the bride and groom dance together for the first time. Weddings here last all day. Some people attend both the wedding ceremony, the dinner and the dance. Others are only invited to come later on for the reception. It would be strange to get given a meal ticket and to sit next to people who attended a totally different wedding. Weddings here mean dancing and drinking, and staying until midnight partying until the venue shuts. You can leave or stay for as long as you want, you don’t have to stay to midnight.
I'm going to my first Korean wedding tmm so this is helpful. But man it's so shocking to hear that guests from other weddings might be in the buffet area I didn't know that.
Weddings in Canada go on from mid-afternoon until last call at the bar (2-3am). If you're in the wedding party you start early in the morning. There's the ceremony (30min to an hour); cocktails/pictures; dinner; speeches; cutting the cake; first dance; party.
As a Mexican American this wedding is much shorter than I am used to, but I can see how this is convenient and probably much less stressful to plan! In the us there can be pressure to have a big extravagant wedding, but that’s not always the best for a young couple beginning their life together.
our weddings are sooooo different in SaudiArab we start at 9/10pm and it last till 3am in the morning, we dance alot. and the wedding hall is one big hall for the two families from both the groom and the brides family. money is also an acceptable gift. the dinner is served after the the brides walk. because we are Muslim community, men and women have separate halls and never see each other, except the bride and the groom hey have thier one room to take photoshoots.
I'm Indian n Christian as well , we only hv 1 day wedding the modern one (but sometimes we also celebrate haldi event a day before it's not mandatory tho ) Wedding is held at 4pm n it takes almost 2 hrs. After that reception is held at same halls/buildings as u told in this vdo , where bride n groom also are present at stage , wearing the traditional Indian wedding dresses , there guest can meet them ,give them gifts , n have dine. As for gifts we also give money but we mostly prefer gifts instead like( gold, silver, house hold items ). Yes, we don't need to take off from duty even if we can't attain the marriage at church , we can meet them at reception hall n can enjoy the buffet meals.
Albanian wedding are really fire and they last only one day but the bride gets a “kanagjegj” when it’s like the brides day idk its the day before weeding
Mexican wedding are so different the wedding lasts like 2 day and the police coming like 2 times also a lots of people come that you probably didn't even know just to get some food but we don't mind because next thing you know you became friends with them and also we make waaaay to much food so its a win win 🤣
Mozambican weddings 3 days. Day 1 is for LOBOLO, means traditional wedding where the grooms family goes to the bride house to ask permition to take her, and also the give money and gitfs. Day 2 is for Civil Marriage, where they officially write documents about the marriage. Day 3 is for XIGUIANE, means the traditional cerimony to take the bride to her new house and give her everything she will use the like new clothes and things for kichen, etc. And if its a muslim couple day may also have a day for Nikah, the religious marriage.
They are all basically the same. O Usually christian families may do some things a little differently, for example having short prayers during the wedding ceremony or if you're catholic, a wedding mass but for other religions, they are just normally done as in the video.
In india, even the outsider can enter and have free lunch with just a good simple dress. 😜and also food is so tasty 😋and dj celebrations oh my god!💃💃its totally so much fun. And this korean wedding was also lovely and so romantic. I would love to visit any korean wedding. 😘lets see if i get any chance. 💃💃💃💃😅
And in Bangladesh we start wedding in the evenings. We get a separate area for our wedding so it doesn’t mix up with others. And it lasts up to midnight 🕛 😂😂😂😂😂 and about gifts..some of them gift a whole furniture or a fridge!!
Okay, I mean I love to party, but I give mad respect for these weddings to be short and sweet and “efficient”! Polynesian weddings, particularly Tongan, all people do is show off how much gifts and performances and money each family/village has and of the 4-6+ hours of the party only less than half of that we are able to dance because everyone keeps showing off 🤦🏽♀️ that’s why a lot of people end up drinking until 4am afterwards because we can barely do it DURING the wedding lmao!
In SRI lankan weddings totally same like Korean weddings. All the traditions finish in less than an hour. But the wedding will be held for about 3 or 5 hours depends
In Africa not sure about the other parts but in west Africa where I'm from weddings last 2 days! It's a full on PARTY! everyone dressed to impress and dancing! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾.... Love the Korean wedding tho its fast and less stressful
Hmm I wanna say that there is also Christian wedding in India it's not like about 4 to 5 days We have engagement and after few days we have that beautiful day which is just before the actual wedding the night is super fun and emotional. Then is the wedding day🥰 it's actually quite similar to western wedding it is done in church which will last almost 1 to 2 hours maximum I don't know it's quite tiring though🥲 then all the gust will go to the place where the food is supplied and the bride will go change her white wedding gown to a sari (some things are behind the changing of clothes, I don't actually know 🥺 sry) then the bride and groom will eat their luch together with their parents and siblings (if have) Then... RECEPTION 🥳🥳 Party🥰🥰 Dance, music good food everything will be there. It's so beautiful to see everyone in their shining dresses. The the bride will go to the grooms house (I think so🤡)
in the usa, our weddings last hours ceremony usually last 35 minutes, and from what i've read up ( i am perpetually single) weddings in america can last the entire day and i mean from what i've read, you do the first dance, you dance with the guests and you eat cake, open your gifts and you eat the catered food, weddings in america are not cheap unless you are on a strict income like me, and you can only spend like 1000.00 on everything, but typically speaking, people do spend sometimes over the average for american weddings. mom and dad got married on a 1000.00 budget back in 1985
Such beautiful lovely wedding 🧡 In Morocco, a wedding can last up to 4 days, each day is for something, the two first days are only for the family and very very very close friends, the other twos where the invited ppl gather. If it's not very very loud, if it's not very decorated, if there weren't a Lot of free food. Then it's not a wedding here.
In India, mostly everyone gives money in the ranges of ₹500 - ₹2000, acc. to me atleast. And only best friends or really close ones give more than that. This is so less than what they give in Korea 😶😶😂😂 Even the number of people are so many in India, like as far as I know around 1000 people attended my parents wedding 😶😶😯😯
It's not compulsory though if u r not bringing anything they will not kick u out 🤭🤭🤭🤣🤣🤣. But yeah the gift price totally depends on the person who is giving it. That's a good thing.
Super different from Pakistani Wedding ceremonies... We have different functions that keep going for like a week... Main functions are Barat and Valima in which we invite a lot of people not less than 200 or 250 and for them we have halls but some invite a lot of people for which we have marquee in which 1000 people can adjust. And 99% of our weddings are in night time from 7 to 10 (10 pm cuz govt has restrictions to close halls and marquee at 10pm) those who have farm houses their ceremonies won't stop before 4 am.
In south Indian wedding we give gift or money in envelope as same as Korean wedding. But no food coupons it is more that they make time and visit there wedding.
Reading all the comments I think we can agree that korean weddings are definitely different than the rest of the world. Although *I respect their culture* and understand why they do it like this. It still saddens me to see how impersonal it is. Having to share the venue and buffet with other couples, not making time to fully share this special moments with your love one (as it so quick). No party, no dancing, just eat and leave. I'm just so surprised, because, korean people and especially korean women are always pressured to get married as soon as possible and low-key shamed for not getting married in their 30's, so you would think that, everyone would make a big deal out it, like a 3 day celebration or something. (It just my thoughts, everyone is allowed to do what works for them.)
Traditional weddings used to be a lot longer it would take all day long and was a party with all the relatives and neighbors invited. These days we don't do that anymore. I've never seen anyone that did a day long wedding these days even when they do a traditional style wedding. They are shortened for the sake of cost and time restraints. Modern Koreans are so busy we don't have time for day long weddings anymore 😂
Pakistani weddings are like lots lots of fun they end like in 5,6 days and all the cousins and members of the family gathers there are damce rehearsals , eating delicious food together but yeah that money giving thing also happens here too

Woww great
I love this korean wedding
And thank you for the video

and there are SO MANY GUESTS in Persian Weddings! sometimes more than 350 people!
2000/1000 people are invited in Indian weeding
@@rairamali5517 It's possible in Iranian weddings too, but it costs too much and wedding becomes too expensive for the bride and grooms families.
In indian wedding 3000 to maximum 5000 ppl are invited

Thank you for the information
Its totally different in india for induan wedding it took 4 days
Haldi mehdi shadi vidai...
Korean wedding is too short ,but Indian weddings nowadays takes at least 5 days , at our grandfather's days it goes 30 days all our relatives are come together and enjoy all wedding day's .we have lot of traditional things to do at wedding
I think bangladeshi wedding is much longer than this they start preparing for wedding before 1 month and there are many things like engagement, mehendi, Gaye holod and then wedding so before these thing there are many rituals to do and it keep going everyday I think it last atleast 4 days (In city's) and if you combine all rituals and wedding so it last till 1 month
In villages wedding last 2 days Gaye holod and then mehendi at the same time and then wedding
And in bangladesh they prefer gifts more than money
And they dance and singing its too much fun
Bangladesh - 4 or 2 days
Korea - less than a hour
Too much different
Yes bro Indian and Bangladeshi wedding is too much long
So is that mean that if you don't give the envelop of money then you are not allowed for the food??
It is not at all similar....
But that money method is same...
We celebrate marriage for months together....
Nearly 8 months...
With 5 to 6 main occasions...
And the marriage ceremony will alone be held for about 3 to 4 hours...
And we will be eating for the whole day😅
This envelope thing as well as envelope collection counter is also there in our 🇮🇳Indian🇮🇳 weddings 👰💍🤵💒

Korean wedding 7.50
Indian wedding 3 days 😂😂and i think it is more joyful
Nd all food are non vegetarian????
I didn't understand one thing that if the buffett hall has people from different weddings then are the menu same for all??!
First we toast the couple, have a meal, people make speeches at the head table (that’s where the newlyweds and their close family all sit)
There’s usually a DJ or a band, and then the party starts and people start to drink and dance and have fun.
In the us there can be pressure to have a big extravagant wedding, but that’s not always the best for a young couple beginning their life together.
ruclips.net/video/XEr_jkiq2OE/видео.html
When she talked about giving it's same ritual in my state so it was similar
our weddings are sooooo different in SaudiArab we start at 9/10pm and it last till 3am in the morning, we dance alot. and the wedding hall is one big hall for the two families from both the groom and the brides family. money is also an acceptable gift. the dinner is served after the the brides walk. because we are Muslim community, men and women have separate halls and never see each other, except the bride and the groom hey have thier one room to take photoshoots.
Mexican wedding are so different the wedding lasts like 2 day and the police coming like 2 times also a lots of people come that you probably didn't even know just to get some food but we don't mind because next thing you know you became friends with them and also we make waaaay to much food so its a win win 🤣
and we pay an amount of money but it's optional for who are not close to Bride and Groom's family.
Our weddings system is very different from your country wedding system
Mozambican weddings 3 days. Day 1 is for LOBOLO, means traditional wedding where the grooms family goes to the bride house to ask permition to take her, and also the give money and gitfs. Day 2 is for Civil Marriage, where they officially write documents about the marriage. Day 3 is for XIGUIANE, means the traditional cerimony to take the bride to her new house and give her everything she will use the like new clothes and things for kichen, etc. And if its a muslim couple day may also have a day for Nikah, the religious marriage.
Sister I want to know how Korean Buddhist marriages are..... Can you help me?
They are all basically the same. O
Usually christian families may do some things a little differently, for example having short prayers during the wedding ceremony or if you're catholic, a wedding mass but for other religions, they are just normally done as in the video.
In Indian marriages held for 2 to 3days
In SRI lankan weddings totally same like Korean weddings. All the traditions finish in less than an hour. But the wedding will be held for about 3 or 5 hours depends
In Africa not sure about the other parts but in west Africa where I'm from weddings last 2 days! It's a full on PARTY! everyone dressed to impress and dancing! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾.... Love the Korean wedding tho its fast and less stressful
In india people also give money as Gift ..we cll it shagun 4:20
According to Christian wedding in India in Kerala it is only about 8.00am to 1.00pm...

I wanna say that there is also Christian wedding in India it's not like about 4 to 5 days
We have engagement and after few days we have that beautiful day which is just before the actual wedding the night is super fun and emotional. Then is the wedding day🥰 it's actually quite similar to western wedding it is done in church which will last almost 1 to 2 hours maximum I don't know it's quite tiring though🥲 then all the gust will go to the place where the food is supplied and the bride will go change her white wedding gown to a sari (some things are behind the changing of clothes, I don't actually know 🥺 sry) then the bride and groom will eat their luch together with their parents and siblings (if have)
Then...
RECEPTION 🥳🥳
Party🥰🥰
Dance, music good food everything will be there. It's so beautiful to see everyone in their shining dresses. The the bride will go to the grooms house (I think so🤡)
in the usa, our weddings last hours ceremony usually last 35 minutes, and from what i've read up ( i am perpetually single) weddings in america can last the entire day and i mean from what i've read, you do the first dance, you dance with the guests and you eat cake, open your gifts and you eat the catered food, weddings in america are not cheap unless you are on a strict income like me, and you can only spend like 1000.00 on everything, but typically speaking, people do spend sometimes over the average for american weddings. mom and dad got married on a 1000.00 budget back in 1985
Such beautiful lovely wedding 🧡
In Morocco, a wedding can last up to 4 days, each day is for something, the two first days are only for the family and very very very close friends, the other twos where the invited ppl gather.
If it's not very very loud, if it's not very decorated, if there weren't a Lot of free food. Then it's not a wedding here.

Indian weddings are full of Joy
In India, mostly everyone gives money in the ranges of ₹500 - ₹2000, acc. to me atleast. And only best friends or really close ones give more than that.
This is so less than what they give in Korea 😶😶😂😂
Even the number of people are so many in India, like as far as I know around 1000 people attended my parents wedding 😶😶😯😯
It's not compulsory though if u r not bringing anything they will not kick u out 🤭🤭🤭🤣🤣🤣. But yeah the gift price totally depends on the person who is giving it. That's a good thing.
I'm from Philippines, Thank you for sharing this video at least now I have an idea how it goes this kind of Korean wedding. 💜😊
ruclips.net/video/XEr_jkiq2OE/видео.html
It's simple marriage in korea but in India it's like a festival... 🎊🎊🎊..
Pandagaaaa
I'm from India their is very joyful wedding of 3- 4 days it too much different from India here is no haldi no mehndi but nice
(It just my thoughts, everyone is allowed to do what works for them.)
well i don't have to tell my countries wedding traditions, there are TONS of indians telling that lol
In India ,haldi, mehandi and nekah for Muslim and then in the fourth day the bride go to their law house
This is fully same like bangladeshi wedding. Without the food coupon thing😊
I’m a little sad about how short it is compared to weddings in America. Would anyone know if more traditional Korean weddings are just as short?
armys everywhere,love you
Traditional weddings used to be a lot longer it would take all day long and was a party with all the relatives and neighbors invited. These days we don't do that anymore. I've never seen anyone that did a day long wedding these days even when they do a traditional style wedding. They are shortened for the sake of cost and time restraints. Modern Koreans are so busy we don't have time for day long weddings anymore 😂
Don't they kiss at the end?? I have seen that in kdramas so asked 😅😅😅😅 don't take me wrong plz.
Indian wedding take 5 to 6 days and we all enjoy the wedding
Really 😲😲😲.I thought only in India has this type of gifts....
Super different. But this is also nice!
Lot's of love from India 💜🇮🇳🇰🇷💜
I went to south Korea for 3 weeks because it was my vacation and my friends uncles wedding
what about celebrity wedding are they the same or they could book a venue at the hotel or resort??
Love from India 💜✌🏻
Waww its so beautiful 😻
Pakistani weddings are like lots lots of fun they end like in 5,6 days and all the cousins and members of the family gathers there are damce rehearsals , eating delicious food together but yeah that money giving thing also happens here too
In india there are many ritual is ther minimum 10 ritual this ritual all very fun and enjoy
there is no vow?!
The fun that comes in Indian Wedding is not fun in other countries where they have fun for a week and the fun of dancing on dj is different

What about dancing and music? what happened to the cake?
in my country it takes a month
Quite similar here but we use RED envelop 💕
That money system is very similar to our tamil weddings . It's called moi (மொய்)
It's super different in my country
But i really like this way
