I am so excited that I found this series and I look forward to ongoing progress. I love it that both husband and wife are involved with the quite substantial work. The masonry work is very impressive. I "finished" my garden railway about 10 years ago (ground level) and appreciate the amount of what I called "rearranging dirt". In my case digging trenches to fill with ballast to support the track. The trench spoil became my many "hills", similar to what you are doing. Keep up the good work!

40:26 - Looking out over the garden.
I ran into a video of yours, halfway through this process. Immediately I was caught by your cheerful endeavour. So I started at episode #1 and, remembering how the garden was at the start, watching it here in episode #6 so far into construction is impressive. Along on your lovely journey, looking forward to watch's to come.

I think all the details you put into this project are what's going to make a great garden railway an outstanding one. Well done guys - really looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Beautiful work, and on a relatively short timeline, at least compared to how long I would likely take if it were mine. Looking forward to seeing more!

I love your enthusiasm and the way that you both seem to share the hobby👍✌️💜
I wish we/I were young and well enough to have used hard, raised, landscaping for our two small 7mm and SM32 lines. Timber quality is dire (marine ply now rots, quickly, even using the tried and trusted treatments) now and pricey, recycled plastics are just pricey😲 But one has to work with what resources are to hand. I can't help but think that the "eco" "enviro" improved timber products, chemicals etc, suit manufacturers and suppliers more than they do the customer now, similar with outdoor paints and proofers etc, all of which fail in no time at all💔💔 We must all be mad to want to play trains outdoors (for some of us, it's the only way we can have the larger scales)😲😄😄😄💜✌️

I have been trying to figure what the background noise is every time y'all show a video. It sounds like the combination of dogs barking far away or mourning doves.

So, I'm sure i must have missed the explanation in an earlier video, but why is it called project "Driog"?

No you haven't missed anything. There have been several guessed, but as yet no confirmation from SLR top management 😉

@@SouthgateLightRailway "Digging Right In Our Garden"? LOL, No...
"Railway In Our Garden" is the last 4 words, surely. Can't figure out the "D", though.
"Digging a Railway In Our Garden"?
Ok, my last, and real guess: *"Diminutive Railway In Our Garden".*
