Great review Team! These types of collaboration videos do sometimes border on the edge of just another "Paid Advertisement", BUT I respect the hell out of all three of these pit masters and had to watch. You get a real sense that they are truly impressed with this new line of Camp Chef smokers!! I have been on the fence on getting a pellet smoker for years now due to the reports of the low level of smoky flavor. However, ever since this new hybrid model was announced I now know what I will need to start saving up for. ;)

The other two gentlemen were very informative, but Suzie failed to disclose how long she smoked her brisket. I was hoping I missed something and watched it again. I would like to know how long she fast smoked her brisket.

Im really excited about this new smoker and in other videos i wasnt seeing much of a smoke ring. Looks like she got a very pronounced smoke ring on the brisket in the middle. My question about this new smoker is how well does it do grilling items for quick cooks like burgers, steaks and chicken? Im hoping to get a single unit that can do the quick grilling, and still be able to do the long smoke/bbq cooks. thanks!

Curious on how much you have to "babysit" this new smoker since it was mentioned that it isn't your typical pellet smoker in the video. I like twisting a knob and walking away for 13 hours. Lol
That is a really great question. Hopefully you aren't actually walking away for 13 hours 😂. But we tried to minimize the amount of fire tending you have to do. If you light the smokebox on startup, you should be able to just add fuel to it every few hours.
It p much you put new wood in every hour or so

@@campchef got an old Camp Chef from 2015 ready for an upgrade. As much as I love your products, your service has really gone down hill. I've emailed, tweeted, called, waited on hold trying to order multiple times. At this point I'd have an easier time getting into Fort Knox than getting a response from anyone at Camp Chef. After weeks of trying find one I finally found one online.Please elevate your customer service to match the caliber of the products.

It's a cool concept, but I wonder if the smoldering chunks will produce bitter smoke if the vent is closed off all the way on the smoke box. I had to get away from charcoal cookers that use wood chunks for this reason. We should also stop comparing pellet grills to offset cookers. Smoldering chunks will not produce the same flavor profile as burning wood logs as the fuel source.
This shouldn't make me excited or my heart beat faster but it did!

Bet the brisket on the left and right would be really good, not so much for the one in the middle. Person on the left and right has useful information, not so much for the person in the middle.

@@MichaelRei99 I am so glad he made that video because it is exactly how I like BBQ. Clear smoke snobs. For years, all you hear is clear wavy lines coming out of your stack from a reverse flow is the best thing out there. I like a few periods of some actual smoke. Not clouds of white smoke, but at least something you can see. I like to throw a piece of bark or fat in the fire box every once in a while to mix up the flavors!
This audio is garbage for professional production. Do want the grill though
