#Apple #iPhoneSE2022 #iPhoneSE2022OneMonthLater
Dude at the apple store was beyond surprised that I wanted to go from a pro max to the new SE lol. The entire time I had the max phone I upgraded to I was just thinking “I miss my iphone 8” so with this release I decided it was time to go back to what I missed. People look at me like I’m crazy for preferring this over the newer stuff but I’m just extremely grateful this design is still an option.
Same I’m getting this small phone over other people say that I’m dumb lol
It's definitely lighter and I prefer the curved edges. I wish Apple would give up this retro square design from 2010. Curved is way better.
Did the same! My bro wanted my 13 Pro Max and I said if he got me this SE,he could just have that phone. And I love it
The nice thing too is that you can still use your iPhone 8 case on this new SE.
Is it better than a mini version? i would like to have a 12 mini or 13 mini, I think they are good
You are probably the most thorough tech reviewer when it comes to the SE 2022. It’s appreciated by people like me that actually want to know if this phone is worth the value. And it appears that it is and then some. What I like is you didn’t do like most reviewers and use it two days, trash it and then move on. You used it consistently and keep giving us updates on it. Kudos for doing such a great job on this phone and being detailed.
I agree, but only if he doesn't work for Apple🤔
While I dislike Apple for steps, i think the se still makes sense. It clearly isn't for everyone, but it has a group that will like it and a large group as well.
Late to the game here. I just got myself the SE 2022 to replace my iPhone 14 Pro. The SE simply took me back to basics. Don’t regret it.
Good move! I am going from a 12 PM to a SE3. 👍🏿
Their pricing is just way too good on this one blowing other phones such as Samsung A53 out of water...
Yes, Samsung got that big screen but it's got exynos and you do not let your friend buy exynos.
Went to Apple store last week to check out their new iPad Air and saw 3 old customers (looked to be over 70+)
was getting their group session with a genius 'how to use their new SE'.
It was cute, love it!
I love this SE so much, Ive been using iPhone 6 for more than 4 years but now apple stops support iOS updates for it, the fact that this new SE is exactly the same size as my iPhone 6 but got the newest chip is a perfect choice for me it definitely will receive iOS updates for years to come, and the price tag is so affordable! This probably will last me for a very long time cuz I just a functional smartphone, not familiar with android so this phone is the best option for me right now cuz I don't trust buying used iPhone, simply perfect!
I’ve have the SE for two weeks and I’m very pleased, love the home button and the fingerprint scanner.
Nice. Glad to hear it
how is the screen?
@@danieldaniel1210 The screen is actually pretty damn good.
@@gabrielhuin thx for the answer
Absolutely love my SE3 and getting like 6 years of updates is insane. So much value overall.
Yessir. It’s fancy.
Gonna order it in the coming weeks. Will be my first iphone ever (I'm 30), just got bored of android and the pricetag this time was convincing enough to make the switch. Wanted a smaller smartphone as I'm sick of those massive +6inch phones. Don't mind the bezels, DEFINITELY don't mind the button as I'm totally against facial recognition.
Best processor they have, 128gb storage,.. looking forward to it.
Got mine a month ago... With 128 gig. It is a pocket rocket!
As a person who had android his whole life and I got my 1st iPhone se2 last year. Trust me you're gonna love it. I just out grew the android customizing phase I guess. The iPhone is just a different experience. You're gonna hate it or love it but I think ur gonna love it..
@@Jesus.is.LordSavior4 Welcome to the dark side
@Babei Ilie do you wish you had gone for the 13 mini?
@Babei Ilie ah yes I forgot. I have held the mini. It is a little smaller than the se 3 and my be more comfortable to hold. Still as someone who went from Android to iOS, I chose the SE as it was the same size.
IPhone SE personifies the ideal smartphone in every aspect..in terms of its balanced features and form factor. Having a physical button to unlock the phone is so so convinient, people get lost jazzy features like faceunlock and indisplay fingerprint we have for lot of budget andiod phones
r but none of then comapares to physical touch button like miles away. Also look at 5G band coverage its covers almost most of the world bands. Like an IT professional like me who travel a lot i want smartphone which take on any band 4g 4glte 5g..anything..bye the way donyour research many andriod phine supports bands specific to 1 or max 2 countries that where they save cost. I wish it had headphone jack though!!
I love my SE 2022. The battery has been much better than the 2020 SE and the performance is downright stupid fast! It's also a great size for when i'm riding dirt bikes and jetskis as it weighs nothing even with a case on it. The pictures are pretty solid for a single lense too. Great phone at a great price! Traded my 2020 SE and the 128 gb SE 2022 for $329!
How is the battery better exactly? Roughly how much SOT are you getting every day and with what kind of usage? I’m thinking of getting this iphone in the near future cos im not a huge phone user (mainly used for calls and emails with some web browsing and very occasional social media).
Cheers
@@dudemanguy6092 I'm getting about 9 hours of screen on time with one charge cycle which is way better than the 5 hours I used to get on the SE 2020.
@@Tammacazi10 Thats cool to hear. I'm assuming you're not a super heavy phone user as well?
$719 in Australia for the cheapest model. $160 trade in on SE model 2. Sticking with my model 2 for now
Never had an Iphone, but if I bought one, it would be this.
"This phone is designed for people who want this phone" - boom! Something many other reviewers have seem to forgotten. Just upgraded from an iPhone 7 to this bc I my screen finally broke, battery was getting bad, and the charging port was getting wonky. I use a computer for videos and games so just having a classic phone in the apple eco system is what I want. That, plus touch ID & home button >>> FaceID & notch
5g, Touch ID, A15 chip, small convenient size. It’s a win unless you NEED the superior camera and large screen
Basically, I wanted something that fits in my pocket, strong performance, good reception. I don't use a phone for games so it'll do. I intend to keep it and get the battery replaced when I need to
I have the SE 2020 and love this phone not only the cost but the amazing things I can do with it that satisfied my needs, I like video and pictures to create , people say your camera is not as good very true but I have apps that enhances my photos or videos that blows my families minds 🔥😊👍 ready for a upgrade with more gb and for 128gb it’s $300 now it’s on sale SURE I would like a newer 14 but I’ll take a Se or a 13 mini
A great little phone!
Forgot to put my new SE3 on charge last night. 36 hours after last being connected, the battery life is 44 per cent!
Nice!
I want a small phone (currently have a Samsung Young!) and battery life is important to me - do you think given your experience that the SE would last 2 full days or more without a recharge if it was only used for the occasional call and text message, with very little web usage (I would be happy to only use 4G rather than 5G if that saved battery life)?
@@PC-vg8vn if that was aimed at me…The weekend the new season of Stranger Things came out, the phone was charged on Friday morning and I did a marathon that night. Forgot to put the phone on charge and was down to 28 per cent on Sunday morning - 48 hours after the last charge. That surprised me greater than the twist at the end of Episode 7.
This is actually my first smart phone. Was using an old clamshell for the longest time, but finally support for that is being pulled so this SE is what I got. Honestly, it does its job, at least for me. It is a phone. For everything else, there is my iPad.
Man I've got a feeling that the SE is only real succesor of Steve Jobs' idea of the iPhone.
I got a used iPhone SE 2020 . I cycle a lot and finger print is the way to go !
Loving it , battery life is the only negative in my opinion.
Glad to hear it.
I use the SE 2022 now for 5 days and i really happy with it. I sold my iphone 13 and buyed the SE 2022 i missed the home button. Battery is good i can use my phone whole day without charching.
I'm a big fan!
Mine should be coming tomorrow my first iphone ever. Got the red one
Took the plunge on SE 2022.
I was looking for an iPhone to replace my Pixel 4a. The only one that could fit my budget and still have a long enough iOS life would've been a 64GB iPhone 11. 64 GB is too small plus I am trying to avoid having anything bigger than my Pixel 4a.
The screen isn't as good as the Mini, but a new Mini is too pricey.
So bit the bullet & got the 128GB SE. We'll see how this works out.
Good luck. I hope you enjoy it.
How does it compare to the pixel 4a bro
I almost got the IPhone se, but I went to with the 13 pro instead. Still the iPhone se isn’t that bad of a phone. I gotta give you props for sticking with the se. Ain’t nothing wrong with it. I just prefer the pro motion display, battery life, and 6.1 screen. It’s a prefect size.
There seems a bit of a price difference between the two. lol
12 mini was considered?
Still have the 7 and this sound perfect! I have never used the front cam anyway, don’t use social media, games etc. I want a small phone that fits in my pocket, is waterproof and last at least a day. I only use it for calling, using apps, navigation sometimes and listening to music. And not about to spend more than 350 on a phone (always refurbished). If I want to take real, good pictures or movies I will grab by Sony rx10 anyway
I really like mine. No fuss, it is what it is and it’s enough for me.
Agreed. I am using SE22 for one month and it works really well. Previously i am using 13 Pro Max.
Still rocking my 13 Pro as well as the 13 Mini. I prefer the mini but the Pro has the camera stuff I use at work. The old style just isn't for me. I had the 8+ briefly. Then sold it. The first iPhone I actually LIKED was the 11 series. Now I R hooked on Apple. Nice vid, Adam.
I love the classic style. I need the cameras though. It's a tough spot for sure.
I have the iPhone se in red n the IPhone 13 in pink so far I have been using the se for Uber n Lyft it does the job n I keep the 13 as a backup
I still have an iphone 6 and while it is still running, it is starting to annoy me in daily usage, apps not updating anymore, it is starting to lag, and the battery doesn’t last a day. I’m finally upgrading to iphone SE 22 after seeing this review, i don’t need face recognition or 3 cameras, i just need my phone to work. Thanks for the review!
I know this is a late comment. But you should keep your iPhone 6 still. Sure the battery doesn't last any more, but you can still use it for other purposes:
- alarm clock
- web cam
- dash cam
- iPod plugged to a sound system
I've had the 4s,6,6s,7 plus,12,12 pro max,13 mini and 13 pro max and samsung galaxy s22 ultra (back up device) , but recently just picked up the SE 2022 and i must say I've missed the smaller form factor and lightness of the phone compared to the larger phones I owned at one point over the years
Mine should be coming tomorrow my first iphone
Doggone it. Now you're making me reconsider getting an SE 2022 instead of a 13 mini!
Have Pixel 4a so the Touch ID is old hat to me. Just looking for a good solution to pair with my new MBP. Not wanting to shell out $800+ for an iPhone though.
One thing to consider is that Androids and MacBooks both use the same charger. With the iPhone you are going to need an extra charger.
Just had the 13 mini for a few months and that thing was great. Good screen size and battery life. Body size it's very slightly smaller than the 2022 SE
I have news for you, you don't need 4k 60 fps. In fact, 4k 30 is fine for the "taking head" and the majority of content as well. The 4k 60 is an exception. Used with fast action, such as sports.
It's not news. I'm well aware.
Even though the SE three doesn’t come MagSafe capable all you gotta do is buy a case that has the MagSafe element in it and it’s just as good as any of these other ones that are MagSafe so you can get your mag safe battery and everything else it’ll be just like any of the other iPhones and you won’t be out of pocket more than 50 or $60
So tempted to take the plunge after trying it out and not having to stretch my hands uncomfortably to use it..
I love mines is bomb for me im a stroke survivor my max was ridiculous im locking this one a lot my daily driver
Please comment back. Iphone SE 2022 or Samsung Galaxy S10e? I want to purcahse in the next few days. Thanks!
SE2022. The S10 isn’t even supported anymore.
Great vid. I only subscribe to RUclips content creators who are outstanding. You, sir, have been subscribed to. I have an old iPhone 7 Plus which I understand won’t support iOS 16. I’m 65 and semi retired and don’t need a flagship phone any more. My 2021 Mazda CX-5 has apple car play so I’ll be getting the this phone when iOS 16 is released. Again, great review as was your other SE review.
Thanks a lot. Glad you are enjoying the videos. Thanks for subscribing
Pixel 6!!!
But yes my dad has the SE3 coming from the 7 and he is happy it's faster better battery but UI that he has gotten a custom to. He doesn't take pictures so the camera is no issue.
Honestly it's weird seeing so many iphone users preferring touch i.d because I see a ton of iphone users who always brag about the face i.d saying it's better than fingerprint
I would love to get this phone but its super overpriced in my country. 600 USD....
Wow. That's a lot... I'm sorry.
The new SE is a sleeper phone. I just use it for calls, texts, and emails during work hours. It lasts me all day and I work 11 hour work days. I have no complaints at all. Now if Apple added a keyboard to this design, that be awesome!
Really love your reviews on all the different phones and your honesty, what do you think of the I phone mini Adam I still have the 12 I’m loving it but sometimes I wish I had a smaller phone but without the chin on the top and bottom what advice would you give thanks 👏😎🇮🇪
I have the se 2020. Replaced the battery after 17 months, now drained to 87%. May be time to upgrade…
You’ve really done the SE3 justice, nice videos. Upgrading to the midnight SE3 very soon from an iPhone 8
Oh nice. That'll be good for battery and performance. Such a good phone.
@@TechOdyssey I’m hoping to get a surprise jump in performance, battery life & camera over the 8 😄 Love being able to use this one handed with Touch ID 🤩
Seeing everyone saying the battery life is terrible etc I’ve been using it & having a good amount of battery left even watching 10 or more videos on yt & only losing like 6 percent ( 10 minutes videos or longer ) the battery seems to be very decent and the speed is insane aswell as the camera and I’m coming from a iPhone 13 with 100 battery health
its agood phone,,i really like it
Agreed. I bought mine two weeks ago and luv it. I went with starlight and carry my Pixel 6 Pro. But overall I enjoy the compact of this phone and its power. I am involved with apple’s ecosystem and it is difficult to sway away from
hey, sorry to bother, but please dont mind me asking this. I am looking to buy a new phone and i am confused between Pixel 6 and iphoneSE 3. could you please share your thoughts on which works better. Thankyou.
@@SuperNandy007 depends on your preference and needs
Just got my iPhone se 2nd gen and I love it my very first iPhone
Sweet! I'm glad you're happy with it
ive got my one and im not a power user ive manged to save the battery till one day and also used to its very end and ive upgraded to 6s to se 2022 so its fast like a bullet and satisfying
I would love your thoughts on the mini lineup! if You could get your hands on one that would be great !! actually thinking of switching from 12 mini to se
i bought a 13mini and sold it a week later....not a fan of face ID and OLED. got an SE and love the battery life...if you put it on power saver mode you may even be able to last 2 days.
Just deciding between this and the s21 fe, not sure about that small screen though 🤔
It’s definitely a big size difference between the two screens.
S21 Fe all the way unless you are in the ecosystem
@@alpha20gr I’m half way in the eco system but trying to escape the Apple cult. Been offered the s21 fe for £429, that’s £270 discount
@@graham1155 if you want to get away from Apple, this is a good phone and that’s an incentivizing price.
The s21 fe is a good phone I was thinking of getting the iPhone but glad I went for the s21e instead
Is there a difference between the SE and 13 with using it as a WIfi hotspot?
I love this little phone so much. Do funny that such a small phone is so powerful
I am still on my 1. gen iPhone SE, but lately a lot of webpages doesn’t fit the screen. Is that problem solved in the 3. gen, or do I need to go with 13 mini to avoid that nuisance? 🧐
I’ve owned both phones and there wasn’t an issue. However I decided to stay with the 13 Mini cause the battery lasts you all day (if you’re not a heavy user).
If you basically just want a phone get this .
I had the 2020 Se and had connectivity problems even after replacing it with another se 2020 and switching carriers. It was great phone otherwise and I miss it and preferred shape and form over the 12 mini (not the bezel). Battery on se 2020 wasn’t great but the same is true for 12 mini and I hear the 2022 se has an improved battery. I say all that to agree that I’m sure it’s a terrific phone but also think it’s probably more then enough phone for most people-most smart phone users don’t need 1200 dollar phones. I no longer have my mini, have the iPhone 13 since it was free and saved me money on carriers but I really miss the smaller phones like the mini and se. I don’t needed a 6 inch screen, but I do appreciate the battery life of the iPhone 13.
That’s odd. The 2022 SE has a much better modem and connectivity. It’s been working great for me
@@TechOdyssey I really think it was a fluke. Guy ATT kinda explained what might have been happening but too complicated for me to try to explain
This is still an important iPhone for those 10% of us who can’t use OLED due to PWM issues. An SE Plus would have been so welcome, but won’t happen now, I guess as it could eat into the main iPhone sales. The increase in price is the same across the entire range due to the expensive 5G modem.
What’s the problem with oled screens exactly? And what people does it affect?
This is the reason I got it, no more PWM issues. So nice.
support lcd screen
So, do you think it's the best bang for your buck in Feb 2023? I'm looking to upgrade my iPhone 6s finally!
What phone case are you using on it in the vid?
Nomad Leather Case for iPhone 7/8. You can find them on ebay.
Hey ! for some messaging, web browsing and a little bit of youtube.. would the battery life be enought ? I'm not gaming at all and 5G is just useless where I live.
Even with heavy use (calls, what's app, sat nav use and listening to I tunes) I had 50 per cent at the end of the day!
i’m late. But i was using the SE 2020 for about a year and then when i finally got a line of service i got to upgrade to the new SE. Personally the only difference is how fast it is and battery life. Which isn’t a complaint. I never had an iphone with no home button so i dont care. And personally i’m not a fan of phones that are just screen.
Thanks for the feedback. Love the SE2020 and 2022
My favourite iPhone for a long time. Front camera only does FHD 30 fps, not 4K as you said, unfortunately.
I have iPhone 12 pro max now, but i want buy this SE2022, because i miss homebutton
The home button is nice.
I want to buy it but it only has 64gb and I want more????
It also has be 128 and 256
Yeah but I'm going to get it at metro and they only have 64gb. If I were to buy it at metro how would I be able to get more storage?
Thinking of owning it sooner as I had no prior iphone experience. Should I go for iphone SE 2 or SE 3? Keeping the price in mind as SE 3 is overpriced I feel?
The battery life and phone signal are better on the SE3. The 2020 may work fine in your area but I don't know how you networks are, if 2G/3G are still working, etc... But largely the experience is mostly the same.
Watching "Review of the iPhone SE 3rd Generation a month later" after a Month
Nice!
I didn’t go from the Pro Max to the SE. just felt like that was relevant
No worries. That would be a huge change for sure.
Dear , you have mentioned you are recording by iPhone , did you use front or back camera ?
Front
Cool
i moved from 13 pro to se 2022
the ONLY thing I dont like about this phone is that it has black front even though the back is starlight color, I wish the front color could coordinate with the back, like old iphones
I don't blame you
has anyone gone from an iphone mini to this se? battery on my 12 mini is terrible, still on the fence whether to switch to the se or not ! I do miss touch id though
after having the mini for almost about 8 months batter life is at 89%
I’ve owned the 13 mini and 2022 se. the 13 Mini’s battery lasts way longer than the SE. I had the 12 mini and it sucked. 13 mini is way better
Great review! What's the case on your SE?
Nomad leather case for the iPhone 7/8. About $10 on eBay
Typing this from my first ever iphone and yes I went for the SE 2022 and I absolutely LOVE it.
Yeah, not as much freedom in terms of personalizing it but hey, this is a much more mature experience and this is coming from someone who used to put custom kernels and ROMs on his 800$ android phones.
The screen is even smaller than it looks on all the YT videos and honestly first I thought hmm am I gonna like it this small and the answer is absolutely yes, no regret whatsoever. First day using it and been using it very extensively learning the ins and outs of iOS and all the handy tricks and shortcuts.
Your review of this phone convinced me to switch and honestly, thank you!
This is exactly what I’ve been saying to people when I purchased my SE 2020 years ago. This phone is basically great! No fancy stuff, just useful all around.
It’s a good phone, priced way too high. It is probably worth no more than 199.
It has an A15 chip in it. That’s probably $200 alone. 😂
The big selling points on the SE is the - Price, The original features that made iphone great and And No mimics.
not me going down to a se 3 from a 11 💀
Technology wise you moving up
I have a SE first Gen still. Just now have ordered a new one because of certain issues. I have to wait for 3 to five weeks for it to come…there is a back log!
I like mine too
Great phone so far. Nice follow up review

But that screen. How many videos do you watch on it? I can see it being a great phone for everything but video watching. I had the mini with it's 5.4 inch screen and videos were too small on that.
This or samsung s21 fe? They’re around the same price in my country
I’m considering switching back from my iPhone 13 mini! It just feels so much better in the hand with FEW compromises.

Suggestion: Stay a little further from your camera making yourself visible from the chest and above, your position right now is fine but I reckon most people would find it appealing the other way.
You're the only person that I think has ever said that, in the last 3 years. Probably most people wouldn't, and it's your preference. But thanks for the feedback,

Great points
Thanks!
I would recommend doing like a 5-10 seconds intro to the video and then rolling the animation, that kinda does better In my opinion
An interesting video thank you. Like yourself I have the 13 pro , a great phone but for my small hands it’s just on the boundary of being just a little too big while at the same time being a tad bit heavy, in the hands, when watching RUclips videos for long periods of time. The battery life more than makes up for the size.
With that being Said I’ve been very keen on the the likes of the iPhone 13 mini and the se 2022, but always shying away from them due to the “small” battery size and the concern when using my phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot the battery depleting before your very eyes. I don’t use my phone for games and I never have done for me as I’ve mentioned already, videos, looking at news stories, phone calls and email’s. Watching your video has given me hope of enjoying this small compact phone but I’m just fearful of regretting it when using it as a Wi-Fi hotspot. I will probably just remain on the fence for now.
On a side note does but related to this phone. Does apple still make the battery case for this phone or am I just dreaming ?
You can probably use a battery case for the iPhone 8, since the physical dimensions are exactly the same. But the take away is you would be blocking the phone's wireless charging pad in the back
What Case is that on there? Thanks!
