Marvel couldn't give her one line in Endgame, while McQuarrie and Cruise make her into a superstar. She was wonderful in this role. She is so right about showing vulnerability and fear in the part. She's not a Mary Sue who just overpowers her way through everything.

I agree but I feel like that last scene in Endgame was perfect with no speaking. However, I would love for her to have a bigger marvel role at some point.

She did have lines in Endgame when Steve went back in time with Tony in the 60s and in her many other appearances. Do your research.

She was Perfectly cast… this movie is spectacular, Tom is phenomenal but if a different actress was in this role I doubt it would be as exciting. She is absolutely stunning in every frame. Her chemistry with Tom is what puts this movie on a whole new level of filmmaking.
I saw the film on Monday July 10th for the advanced screening and it was pretty full! The movie is exhilarating and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time

Interviews are constantly talking about how awesome Tom Cruise is in this movie for doing all his own stunts, but SO DID HAYLEY ATWELL! No one ever gives her enough credit, and you could see she had to talk herself up in this interview, instead of letting the interviewers do that.. because they always forget that she did her own stunts to. Because let's be honest.. at this point, Tom is a stuntman as well as an actor. But Hailey came into this movie as "just" an actor, but she basically did every single stunt with Tom Cruise (except for the cliff jump of course), INCLUDING THE DRIVING holy cow that is incredible. Every kudos to Hayley

I bet part 2 gets pushed to late 2024 or into 2025. If they're only 30% done filming then they still have a lot to film+ then the movie has to go into post production.
They can finish filming by the end of the year and still have 6-7 months to complete the post production stuff. It will be tight but still possible. However, with an actor strike looming and if the strike goes on a while that will definitely delay the release of the movie.
It's fine. It'll be worth the wait. There's a lot of stuff to guess about and speculate after seeing this one. And it's so slick, fast-paced and rewatchable. Let's study it for two years before seeing the conclusion.
I hate that first COVID and now these union strikes keep interrupting the filming of these last movies.

After watching this movie, I have a feeling that Haley's character, Grace, will be the next MI team member and appear on the next MI movies to come after Dead Reckoning part 2. It's some sort of 'initiation' for Grace to be in the MI team😂 Remember the scene in the train when she spoke to Kittridge, saying "i chose to accept it", I assume it has something to do with her accepting her fate to be included in the MI force (and join Ethan).😂
On the other hand Dead Reckoning part 1 is also, i think, a farewell to Ilsa (Rebecca Fergusson's character) who has been on MI franchise several times.😢

Saw it last night and she's good but I think Rebecca Ferguson's character is much more interesting and had better chemistry with Tom Cruise in the movie.
I disagree. They didn't give Rebecca's character anything to do in this one, and Grace was just a much more interesting character than Ilsa.
@@kyleroberts1276 over the course of the Mission movies, I think Rebecca's character has been more interesting. As an actress, she can just look at him and you can feel the chemistry for a guy that doesn't go there romantically with leading ladies. But I do agree that in this movie they gave her nothing to do presumably on purpose so that they could move on (I thought) pretty quickly to Grace becoming the leading lady. Each to their own, I just don't think that being a thief adds much to the usual cast of characters that usually ends up being in this movie.
