Hi Catherine beautiful as usual. Love the jesus I trust in you picture. Your music not only allows us to dwell and think about jesus but inspires us to read the scripture your singing about. I sometimes wonder why gods love is so strong when I sometimes I wonder if I'm worthy of it. I have a Catholic priory near me which I love to visit even though I'm Anglican. Love the little chapels with the candles burning. St jude is my favourite. Thanks again you always make me feel very blessed. Geoff

Geoff, Thank you for your beautiful comment. I am heartened to hear all that you've said about the picture and the psalm songs - it all applies to myself as well! I find the picture to be an anchor point and do my best to write and record the music from this place of trust in Jesus (though this is a continued journey as I imagine it is with us all). I suppose that's why it seems right to keep it in the background. And I hope to continue singing and writing songs with scripture for the very reason you have mentioned; it's an invitation for me to spend time with and to pray with the text in a deeper and more prolonged way.
How great God's love is...how tender, powerful, and merciful.... How could we ever be worthy of it....? I suppose it is perhaps because we know we never could be worthy of it, that we can come to understand how it really is a pure and genuine gift - a gift of love and a gift from love.
It is lovely to hear about the priory and your visits there. St. Jude is the patron of the church I grew up in so he has always been one of my favorites too (: I find it heartening that as an Anglican, you visit the Catholic priory. It is such a loss to have the many lines of division within the Christian community and I pray for greater unity as we gaze upon Christ and look to him as the way, the truth, and the life.
      God bless you, Geoff

the Lyre was a tad too quiet, but my gosh, your voice is astonishing, im not much for religion, but i respect all views, gosh that voice though, keep up the good work

Thank you for the feedback about the lyre - I hear now that left hand doesn't quite come through... (: Tough instrument to record with voice -- at least for me!
And thank you so much for your words about the singing. I don't have any formal training for singing so it's been a bit of a journey for me but I think it's coming together more and more smoothly, so your words are a nice encouragement!

@@enfoldedheartmusic would you be open to a 2 mic setup? one for the instrument one for your vocals? ofc i realise mics aren't super cheap, as for the vocals? you must just have a natural affinity for singing, ofc all that means nothing without your dedication which shows beautifully, i admire people who take up a skill by themselves, quite the journey indeed

@@pollyon I only briefly considered just the other day a two-mix setup, so I'll have to give it some thought to see what might work the best within my budget. Thanks for the suggestion!
And i'm very grateful the vocals have come along and the beauty can be heard! An journey and adventure indeed...! Thank you for the encouragement
