Stoked on both signings! Jefferson will be a great veteran depth piece and bringing on praise. Will be great to give someone the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the league. Always awesome to have a new guy with ridiculous speed that can sharpen up the other skills like running, and, getting better at catching the ball. The team just gets better and better every day with every signing. ⚡️Bolt up

The Jefferson signing makes sense from a package perspective. You have another veteran S who can come in on certain situations and allow Derwin to play more in the box as a Sub LB. I see why Harbaugh has been reaping leaps of praises DJ's way recently. Still need to see this translate to the field, but I like what the new regime has done so far.

I think they are great signings because Harbaugh and his coaches know about football, so I trust their judgments on these things. It's all good

A team can never have enough depth. Minter said he wants to be able to rotate guys in and out, so the starters are fresh in the 4th quarter when it matters most.

I think Jefferson is 3rd safety. He knows the defense and he’s experienced vet. Akiem, Finley and JT woods have little to no experience.

Experience? Jefferson wasn't only retired for a year, he was injured for like a year and a half then played 4 games got injured again and bounced around to like 4 practice squads before retiring. Hasn't had a good season in 7 years and has played maybe 5 games in 5 years. Give me Dent or someone who could be something.

QJ, Davis, Palmer, Fehoko, McKonkey, Rice, Cornellius Johnson, CJ Chark....did I miss any? I get that we lost Keena and Mike but this seems like a lot of WR. Makes me think they aren't really happy with who they have. I keep expecting another Center or another DT, or another CB....we got the Safety I was expecting them to add. I'm wondering if WR is still a serious concern for them. And if so, why isn't DT? That group couldn't stop anyone last year. And the DBs...or another center. I dunno

You forgot Jaelen Gill and Jaylen Johnson. I hear what you’re saying but there will only be 6 wide receivers for the 53 man roster when all is said and done. I’m just going to keep trusting the process.

I understand what you’re saying… we need DT, Center, CB… but you need to understand that you can’t fix everything in 1 year. We had a lot of holes. We were in cap hell. We got cap space after the good free agents were gone. Free agents like a Calais Campbell or Stephon Gilmore would be 1 year deals. That’s fine but it’s not a long term solution. && that prevents players like Tarheeb Still or Cam Hart or Justin Eboigbe to play and develop. The point I’m trying to make is you want a 1 year fix. It’s not a 1 year fix. We need another draft, another year of free agency. Temper your expectations and you won’t be disappointed.

@@Adrian28910 I totally get that this new GM has done awesome things with this roster, especially considering where we were. He made the big-boy decision to cut ties with Keenan Allen....the Mike Williams thing was too obvious, and he got a 4th for him....that took b@lls and really pushed the team forward. Totally get it. And I agree that it's highly unlikely they'll just fix everything overnight.
It was just my observation that the WR room has really blown up over the past couple of months whereas other obvious positions of need haven't. You would think those other positions of need would get more attention if possible and I was wondering if they felt really good about those positions (because they feel the talent is there they just needed proper coaching) and less good about the WR room. Why bring 10 - 11 guys to camp when you are only gonna roll with 5 - 6? It's not as if there is zero cost in that. Draft picks for some, contracts for others. So the thought I had was, "are they unconcerned with DT but still uncertain with WR?". And the DB room too. Are they happy with that or just unable to properly address it?
It's the dog days of summer I have nothing better to do than wonder
