  • The Ha Giang Loop is a scenic motorbike route located in the Ha Giang province in northern Vietnam. Stretching over 400 kilometers, this exhilarating loop has gained immense popularity in recent years. The northern part shares a border with China and is known for its rugged mountain landscapes and unique ethnic cultures. In fact, Ha Giang was cut off from the rest of Vietnam until the 1970s, so it’s often called Vietnam's "last frontier". Boundless and sparsely populated, it was the last part of the country to open up to tourism. The loop itself takes riders through winding mountainous roads, crossing picturesque valleys, towering limestone peaks, and quaint ethnic minority villages. In this video, we share our complete itinerary for the Ha Giang Loop along with all the information you need to do the trip yourself.

    Love the video and drone shots! Was it easy enough to bring drone in and fly?

      @worldwildhearts  2 месяца назад

      Yes it wasn't too hard, just don't fly it close to the Chinese border as it's very controlled

    Thanks for this valuable information. I have to go for 3 days so considering the long driving distances choosing the right routes is essential. How did you manage for the stays on the different stops

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 месяца назад

      The stays were all arranged for us... so we didn't have to worry about it too much. There definitely are a good amount of places to stay on the loop. So alternatively, you could just pop in on the day itself and see if they have availability.

    Hello . great video and weel explained . How much did you paid for the trip with a guide ? thank you

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 месяца назад +1

      I think we paid about 600 USD for the entire trip for the two of us (4 days / 3 nights). That included the motorcycle rental, English speaking guide, accommodations, all the food, one extra easy rider, and one night before and after the loop in the Yolo guesthouse.

    Why would you recommend semi-automatic or regular shifting more than automatic? Is there a lot of engine brake needed? And... nice video btw. We start our loop tomorrow.

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  Месяц назад

      Manual / standard motorcycles are probably even better if you know how to ride them! Semi-automatic is usually used by tourists as most have limited experience. You definitely need engine brake as it gets very steep in some places. Good luck and enjoy!! 🤞

    So would you consider your trip was done during the rainy season?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 месяца назад

      The raining season has clear skies during the day but heavy rains in the evening / night which might lead to some landslides etc. I think the spring / autumn would've been best. So maybe between March to May or October to November. But we would also just add more flexibility in our days so we could've waited for the good days

      Yes you can just use your google maps if you download the area offline. You'll find other riders so you can also just follow them! Though there are definitely some spots that seemed harder to find...

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 месяца назад

      The easy riders are about 30 USD per day if we're not mistaken. They don't always speak English though. English speaking guide is a bit more expensive I believe.
