I finally made it to the bins for the first time and found an Hermes scarf! Paid $22 for a bag of stuff and that scarf, which weighed next to nothing, sold for $100!!
The scarf was basically free - what a sale!!
You find brands at the bins that I never even see in the thrift stores! Great video!

Brendon!! I am the former wife of a Navy veteran and I absolutely LOVE that you are so supportive of the military service members, current and past. I am as well. I'm with you on not necessarily agreeing with our governing bodies all the time, but the military folks sure deserve our love and help! Thank you for all that you do and for being just an all around great human. We need more like you and I have been lucky to have some great humans in my life.
As always thank you for those kind words - those servicemen and women are people too - some of whom see things the human eye just isn't meant to see. I feel that, heavily.
6:51 flawed cashmere still sells - the sell-through rate was insane the last time I checked. lots of crafters and quilters and such will still purchase flawed items to use in their creations! at bins prices it might be worth picking up a few pieces and making a small lot.

The Walls stuff is great. I usually leave behind the kids sized stuff though, as there's usually not as much profit there and it takes longer to sell. I think you made the right choice.

I was recently reading a blog from a reseller and she said that she always picks up cashmere, regardless of the condition. I haven't checked it out myself, but she claims that crafters buy damaged cashmere to harvest the yarn. Something to explore, I guess. However, I rarely find cashmere.

Believe it or not I have never thought to actually pay to have something dry-cleaned for resale. Thanks for mentioning it I'm going to consider it. So nice of you to do a giveaway box!
Yes - the coat was 4 lbs so it cost $8. Another $7-10 is worth it for a coat that will sell for $90-$100!
even with holes, you can lot up damaged cashmere and sell them as a lot to crafters. It's popular to make "Frankensweaters" with them.

Awesome haul! I could not find Patagonia or Vuori in my area thrift stores.
We don’t have bins where I live. There are some in the state, but, they are a 5 hour drive, each way. I live vicariously through you when you source at the bins.

Make a lot of damaged 100% cashmere sweaters for crafting, knitting, etc. People still buy them. They can go for $15 or so each when put in a lot.

I'm in Columbus, too! I've only been to the bins twice so far and have done pretty well! Definitely get there early if you want a cart. The homeless population keeps taking them, but you can't blame them. They say Goodwill on them 😅 Good for them!🙂

Too bad sell thru looks bad on that departwest had couple good sales. Funny on the color thing blue and gray as my tough ones in different lighting. Great finds. Our salvation army was having 50% shoe sale the other day and first time I've had people going through my cart even at the bins never happened. Did find $100 shoe for $7 though I should have put clothing on top of it haha.
I always grab any cashmere I find even with holes and then I lot them up and sell it to crafters that want to make mittens out of them
I would love to thrift with you at your bins. I haven't been to our bins in months. You can spend all day and maybe end up with half a cart that would be worth selling at more than $12 to $15. a piece.

Don’t think you made a mistake leaving the Walls youth jacket. The sell thru on it is already pretty bad and will fall off even worse with summer coming up. Not worth sitting around on something like that for next winter.
Possibly. I saw three solds I think one for $30 and two for $25 but I did not bother checking sell through since this was after the fact. It's possible leaving it was the right decision
