I actually have a party to go to this year but I can't think of anything I really want to dress up as. I love doing funny costumes that are ironic, like for instance, gluing small cereal boxes to my shirt with some knives and being a cereal killer. My daughter who is an elementary school principal is going as the cat lady, taking an old robe and sewing cat plushes all over!!
The key is finding a good bin store. Some are garbage. Some are great. Found 50 new in package cross stitch kits at a recent bin visit. Paid $23 for all of them. Sold one for $100. If you ever take a road trip, be sure to look up bin stores along the way. You could find a great one!
I always dress up as a witch to pass out the candy. We decorate a table in the driveway for the candy and play Halloween music. Always fun!
I am dressing up as a Star Trek: The Next Generation medical officer. I'm not a die-hard Trekkie but I love the show and it's a fun costume to wear to work. Keep up the great content!

You do find the good stuff! Mu husbands uncle use to tell him he had a horseshoe up his tail, I think you do too! My son has a friend that constantly wins contests. Some people just have it.

Ace. We live in a 55 plus community, no trick or treaters here. I miss giving out candy and seeing the kids dressed up.

Nice Ive actually had some luck with large print on the back of silk tommy Bahama selling for $40. Submerging stuff in oxyclean bath overnight has pretty good luck with insoles. I really like cleaning shoes though to make them shine again and getting stains out probably not worth it but saves it from the trash bin.
Last year decorated my son's new house, all my adult kids and I dressed up to the hilt and handed out candy. I was a purple witch, but my son was Darth Maul and the real hit was his Disney made Light saber....lol. All the mids wanted to try it. Fun memories.

A burning witch. I’m a crafter, and made my costume last year and won $50.00! I put battery operated lights and hay around the bottom of a black dress and it looks like real spark/fire.
I want to dress my mini goldendoodle up as a scarecrow. His red curly hair will be adorable! So glad he puts up with me! 😊

I have found lots of money in pockets from clothes I get at Plato's Closet includes two $50 bills. I have probably gotten $300 or $400 over the years.
When my kids were little I made their costumes. Clowns,cats,bunnies, dominions chimneys it was a lot of fun

I found an adult size Elmo and a Banana costume at the bins. I’m leaning towards Elmo because it looks warmer. It’ll depend on the weather but both will be equally humiliating for my children 👍👍

I don’t know how you get all those good items and prices in your merchandise! I guess because you’ve been doing this along time. I went to a goodwill outlet yesterday and you’re right, people tend to look only on the items on top and not at the bottom to find treasures. I found a shoulder coach 🎉from the early 2000’s. Once they saw me pull it out, they looked mystified 😮because they missed it. I like your videos very much very informative. Thank you 🙏

I don’t dress up but my youngest (10) has a new obsession with Lilo and Stitch so she would love to be stitch. She even found a costume at Walmart but we are headed to the bins this weekend so she’s got her fingers crossed she finds one there for cheaper!
The last time I dressed up for Halloween was four years ago. I was Flo from the Progressive commercials. It was so much fun that I might have to do it again this year.

We sometimes dress up for our Zumba class near Halloween but I usually find some cat ears or some thing. One year dressed up as a pink rocker which was pretty cool.

Found a Cookie Monster Onesie from Spirit Halloween at the thrift store today. I also found an old Goosebumps Curly costume. No mask, though. My son has claimed Cookie Monster. LOL. I usually just wear a Halloween sweatshirt and head out trick or treating with my 10-year-old. Fun vid.
I convinced my kiddos (3 & 8) to watch the classic Willy Wonka movie from the 70s and now they’re obsessed.

Not sure about this year yet. I’m not a planner!! My puppy is going as a lion-like every year. We have a lions mane and he’s a golden retriever. Super. Cute.
My last kid is 16 so I rely on my grandkids to go trick or treating now. I miss it because I love Halloween! I used to decorate everything but now I live very far out on dirt roads so I no longer do that.
Paw patrol toys go for a lot! Especially bigger ones planes jets cars etc :)
I love to dress up to answer the door, now mine are grown and gone. I get such a kick out of how proud the little ones are if you identify their costume! I will dress as a witch this year, and stir my cauldron on the front porch by lantern light. They have to reach into the smoking cauldron to get their candy unless they're really little, then they pick from a bowl. Don't want to scare the littles!

I found my costume at Goodwill this year a full baseball uniform of the coach from the Rockford Peaches Jimmy Dugan. The outfit came complete with hat socks belt and everything from a higher end company that makes costumes and I paid less than $12 for it. A crazy find which is why I love thrifting.

I don't celebrate Halloween anymore but a few years ago I was a Geisha. That's the last time I wore a costume. I think I looked pretty good considering I'm half Mexican and half Irish!! 🤣

I will probably just wear my skeleton pajamas (that I currently have on at the moment). My good pick-ups have been toys recently - 1996 Polly Pocket Cinderella castle and a 1983 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (it's an outdoor playhouse, pvc tarp/tent over poles). Looking forward to Halloween and cooler weather!
