I worked with the two traffic officers who were in the beginning of the video and it was my friends car that Bono jumped on at the end of the video. If you look closely into the vehicle, you will see that the passenger is wearing a NY Yankees jacket. That is my friend "Vinny" and the car is a Camaro (67 or 68) driven by Steve. We were all childhood friends and Vinny is still wearing that NY jacket. When Bono jumped on the hood, he pointed his finger at Vinny and said "you are going to be in a video". Bono left a dent in the hood of Steve's car

@@JMD319 - YES, Steve was pissed off about the dent on the hood. I still talk to Vinny almost every day. I told him this RUclips video was posted about the re-creating of the music video shoot. He thought it was cool and was going to check it out.
Not trying to be a stickler, but that is definately not a Camaro in the video.... It is a Nissan 280Z I think.... Not saying it wasn't your friends car, or your memory is bad but, I'm pretty sure it is a 240/260/280 Datsun Z car... (just depends on what year it is for the model 72 to 83 ish???)... sorry... I'm just a car guy... lol
I love 1980s music very very much. I love all 1980s singers, dancers, bands, music artists, actresses, actors, models very very much. U2 band also my favourite band. With or without you, ordinary love, all i want is you, beautiful day, one, i still haven't found what I'm looking for etc many u2 songs are my favourite. That was well done guys.... I searched youtube for this U2 video location and was expecting dozens of hits. This was really the only one I found so far. Going to Vegas in 3 weeks, plan to take in the sights of the area where one of my all time favorite videos was taken. Thanks again!!!

I worked security at he Golden Nugget that night and remember the video being made. One of the songs had a black corvette parked outside the Nugget that Bono was laying on. That car was my bosses car, he wasn't really happy with that. LOL! it was his pride and joy. He didn't even know who Bono was which was hilarious to me.

The state of Nevada still requires masks unfortunately, but outdoors at Fremont Street it wasn't being enforced. We wore masks the entire time and stepped aside away from people to film. Thanks for watching!
Could you guys do videos on the locations of Fleetwood Mac music videos "Big Love" (Kimberly Crest estate in Redlands California) and "Little Lies" (Wilder Ranch State Park, just outside Santa Cruze in Northern California)?

Suspense over?.. KC ? K or MO? we will never know. (same where I was from... Mpls/St Paul... I actually worked at KSTP for a half decade... the studios were split between Mpls and St Paul... with extensive notes if ever a fire.. which building was at risk to call the proper city [mpls/st paul] fire dept.) I really loved that you did that video. Thank you!!!!
