You're a very smart and caring young man. Enjoyed your video. I've kept all types of birds for many years and have bred them. Everything you say is very true. Birds are not like dogs or cats. I feel so sorry for the birds who get so much love and attention and then are ignored when the novelty wears off.
Bill Borden I am a 15 year old girl and I was think about getting a pet bird to bond with. I will be keeping it in my room since that's where I am most of my time. What type of bird would you recommend for me. I do have friends I just like animals more than people and I don't go out much.
Angela_1881 first, hopefully get approval from the parental units. second, realize that everyday is a day spent loving, feeding and cleaning after your baby. my son wanted parakeets so bad, he was about 17, he is now 23 and lives away from home and.....yup, his parakeets are now my baby's. so....they'll or she or he will be with you long after your 15.... I recommend a budgie, as young as they have - so you can definitely pair-bond. it's very fulfilling to see them love you when you walk in the room or make noise in the other room. they're adorable. good luck on your decision.
My friend has a bird named Polly and I wanted him to like me sooooo badly, but it sucks Bc he hates pretty much everyone. One day my friend and I were on the phone and I asked if I could talk to Polly, so they put me on speaker phone. Polly and I had a good long conversation that mainly consisted of whistles and hellos! Eventually when I went over to my friend's house I started to talk to Polly the same way I do on the phone. Now he trusts me a great deal, and even asks me for snacks. :) ❤️ I feel pretty honored to be appreciated by a bird lol.
a lot of people think having a bird is all fun and games, some birds mate for life, when you get a bird, it chooses you as its partner, if you do not pay attention to your bird it will get sad and start to hurt itself, ie, start to pluck its feathers. birds are very high maintenance
Jackie Russell I have a 14 year old amazon and i completely agree, hes really hard work and hes extremely clingy... also bloody loud. Im stuck with him though, wouldn't be without him
Pkmnfan01 Actually i think that everyone who wants a bird, already knows that it's NOT a game. You really have to take care of them. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to get 2 birds NOT 1 bird.
Pkmnfan01 OMG that's terrifying!!! And cool that they get so attached. I'm planning on getting a parrot, I'm not sure in which breed... something social and talkative.

Accurate. Had a friend a while back, who had a pet bird. We'd be on skype group calls gaming, and especially when he went afk, the bird would scream its head off. I found it amusing tbh, but it did frustrate other people on the call.

Neglect my bird ? He’s sitting in my chest as I watch videos... If anything he’s annoyed 😂 Edit: seven months later he’s a strong boy 😚 But he’s a brat , I love him tho 👽
i bought a lil parakeet from the pet shop because all the mature parakeets bullied him and cracked his beak so i kinds saved him,and now im taming him :D any ideas wat to do first when tamed?
Thanks, whell now he dont trust me cuz he got out of the cage and isnt tamed yet,so i had to slowly aproach to him and grab him cuz he will resist to hop on my hand,so he lost all the trust he built :/ any ideas how to gain it back ? or i need to go from start all over?
Start over, go back to offering him millet seed (budgies/parakeets love millet) and getting him used to you being near him, talking to him etc. It will take time, be patient. After a few weeks take two wooden rods (similar to a perch) and train him to step up (say step up) by gently pushing on his belly with the rod. Do that for a few minutes a day for until you feel like you can try it with your fingers. You can do this, just be patient.
Darryl Sawyer when i got my first parakeet, i think i tamed it in the car cuz i open box to see it, it just got on my finger when i put it by its chest
Aamna Plays Omg that's a lot! That's awesome though I can't even get one. Lol. Hopefully my parents will let me get one or two soon! I'm a teenager begging for a bird like a 5 year old XD I could just go out and get one myself 😂
Aamna Plays I have two cats.... and that's most of the reason I can't get a bird. I honestly think that I can keep them safe though. Lots of people keep birds and cats together. I really really want one 😩 also she said that I shouldn't keep birds indoors.
I really want a pet like a bird or a hamster but my parents are just worried about when we travel! Like will the animal be stressed out? And we don't have a lot of friends who are willing to watch the animal for us and it's too expensive to take them to a place where people watch it! Please reply because I have a dog but we have to pay a lot of money to have people watch her while we're on vacation! Please reply if a bird will be stressed out
You could leave them at your avian vet if theh have animal boarding. If that's too expensive then try to teach your bird into safely traveling. There's a ton of videos on RUclips about that. Just make sure you teach it before you actually go on vacation
That depends on how attached the bird is to you. I traveled out of country for two weeks and left my baby with a bird sitter and came back to find her near death because she got depressed and refused to eat, which led to having psittacosis as well. Some avian vets have quality boarding for birds which results in a pricey bill. Those are some things to consider before getting a bird. Also, some states and countries have ag restrictions on which birds can come into and out of the country.
Birds and hamsters are very different animals. I have a lovebird and I just recently got a syrian hamster. I would say that birds have much more personality, but are likely to bite a lot. There are also COUNTLESS household items that pose a danger to birds, so you will need an empty room, with only bird perches/cages to exercise your bird. On the other hand, hamsters are much easier to exercise, although are more fragile. They can only live up to 5 years, (if dwarfs) and 3 years (if syrians). This is better if you want a pet that isn't as big of a commitment. You shouldn't use hamster balls (poor ventilation and the hamster can't chose to leave), so must purchase an escape-proof run for them. Neither pet is good with traveling, but (in my own experience) birds will be able to cope okay with a day of travel. Hamsters should always be housed in the same cage (they're stressed easily), so someone should add food to their bowl each day. The minimum size cages for hamsters are quite large, so a pet-sitter will not have to clean the cage, unless you are gone for over 2 weeks. A pet sitter for a bird will have to clean daily and stay for at least an hour, to supervise their exercise. This will be very expensive. Basically, don't travel with either animal (both get stressed). If you can't afford expensive pet-sitters, get a hamster and give a neighbor a few dollars to top-up the food bowl each day.
xxx_Abbie_xxx that’s because he’s a sun conure. They are known to have bright, vibrant, tropical colors. Usually with orange, yellow, a tiny bit of red and some neon green. In my opinion, these birds are beautiful. I hope you understand birds and love them as much as I do. Once you do, you will be able to enjoy them even more!
Happy TheCat My jenday is just like the sun conure in this video. They want attention all hours unless they're sleeping. Unfortunately they will shriek when they know you're nearby but aren't giving them attention. So Mango is totally content on his shoulder.
As someone who grew up with dozens of birds in the house I can second everything said in this video. Birds are loud, birds are messy and birds are very particular about people. I had a Senegal parrot that loved me and was friendly towards almost everyone else. The only exception was my mother, she hated her. We also had a sitren crested cockatoo that was very friendly toward women and if he noticed that a man was closer to his favourite woman than he was, he became aggressive toward the man. This was cause for him to be re-homed many times. Don't get me wrong, the were both lovely birds, but these are things you need to take into account when you think about getting a bird. They're very smart and have a lot of attitude in comparison to most other pets.
1) great and informative video! 2)you really love your pets and care for them, which should be normal, but sadly is not because a lot people don't care about animals :/ 3)you are handsome 4)you seem to be really nice :) 5)I like your videos and character a lot :)
I agree with everything but the (Birds hating children) I'm 11 and I own a Lutino cockatiel named Elvis he's very nice to me (my mom is scared of him lol)
Yui Rio its because most young children are rough. This makes the birds want to attack since they most likely feel frightened of the kid is squeezing it. So its more of a warning for kids like that.
I never had any pets in my life and 5 months ago i decided to visit a petshop and get a pet and so i got a 3 months old indian ringneck ,i never tried to get close to him but he always came to me ,one day i let his cage open and he flew in the house and i was sitting and eating my food and he came right over to me. So from that day i decided to spend more time with my IRN and i taught him tricks and i also gained his trust, wherever i go in the house he flies to me and he would sit on my shoulder for hours, he only shouts like 4 times a day and it isnt so loud, indian ringnecks are very smart and arent shy ,they also have a great personality and the more you spend time with them the less they will try biting ,but they need attention
+Quiet Stream yeah it's like trimming the end of hair. It's not connected to blood vessels or anything, it just keeps them from flying well so hey don't fly off by accident. It's not at all like removing cat knuckles which is cruel
Birds are really intelligent and extremely social. My cockatiel (of 13 years now) is sincerely attached to me, when I went abroad to study for 3 years, he plucked all his underwing feathers out of stress even though my parents took care of him as best as they can. We've seen a lot of illnesses that we never thought birds can have so they need to be observed regularly for any signs of unusual stuff. I wouldn't even say they need as much care as a dog, I would say as much care as a child.
Oh that's fine by me! I've heard some pretty loud birds before, my father has birds at his house but for the life of me I don't remember what they are. But thank you for the heads up!
Idk if its just mine but my rabbits and birds aren't to hard to take care of but I agree with commitment they need lots of time and love and THEY LIVE FOOORREEVVEEERERR
QuarterBach well I've had a rabbit before I looked after her well and my grandpa had 2 cockatiels that I would hold with no issue. I'm sure I'll be alright thx tho
I got a cockatiel when I was your age. I've pretty much have had birds ever since and atm I'm looking for a African Grey though even though a parrot can bond with one person predominately I have had MANY different breeds over time and only my wild lovebird was only bonded to me but I see that to be a fear issue NOT necessarily just personality.
Whenever I go on my phone or computer, my bird stands on top of the device facing forwards so his tail is on the screen and I can’t see anything and he doesn’t leave until I scratch his head.
Birds are a lot of work, if kept/brought up well. People don't realize how much work goes into keeping a feathered friend. I've had mine for nine years and wouldn't trade him for anything. They require LOTS of attention and need to have cage/food/water changed daily. They like to play and give back to you what you give to them. Don't get a bird unless you are ready to make a bonafide commitment to them.
Indigoman 2410 i just turned sixteen and i've had a parakeet since early middle school. as long as the child has researched and learned about the bird prior to purchasing one, then you should be fine (:
I got my budgie at 11. I think they should just be supervised to make sure they're handling them right (I used to hold mine in my hand rather than perched on my finger, and she held a grudge against me for it for a looong time. they aren't always very forgiving) and I'd suggest getting one that's already tame, as in it's been hand raised and isn't from Petco or something where it's gonna be terrified of people, because mine wasn't tame when I got her and I didn't have much patience at 11 when all I wanted to do was love her, lol.
I never really felt a connection to an animal instantly until I meet a bird named Lenin. He was so sweet and would rub up against the glass at the pet store because he wanted attention. It was so heartbreaking but I know I’m not ready or in a place where I could have given him the proper amount of care that he needs.
Absolutely right! What you mentioned is exactly why I'm taking it seriously and putting it on hold even though I'm dying to have one for ages! The topic you covered is this what you considered before buying one? Or due to your experience after you had a bird? I think it's important to give these facts and you certainly are sending some awareness indeed it's a life time commitment!
For those who want to know: in the conure family all bird on the sun conure side are very loud and vocal. All conures on the green cheeck side are more quiet.
Fellow bird keepers! If your in school like me and you have a bird while your at school put on like noises and lots of toys, lots of things to do while your at school until you come home No worries😉
Sun Conures are way too annoying how they immediately hate and actually attack people that aren't their bonded person. i love the Indian Ringneck personality, though. very chill, content birds that will let anybody hold and scritch them.
They are NOT annoying. I have 3 Sun Conures and travel a lot with them. Outside the house they are extremely friendly. But when friends come to my house they are NOT that friendly
It's so important to know what you said in this video- birds are very peculiar and require their specific attention, perhaps as much or more attention than some humans need.
Q: what do you do when you tarvlig or just at work can you still have a bird if your traveling. Because that happens in ny life that am away all day an comes back in the after noon.
I had friends with an extremely well trained, well bonded small parrot. It would walk along the kitchen counter and ask for food by gently saying “cracker?” You gave it a snack and it would take it and walk back to its cage, climb on top and then slowly start eating the snack. I wanted one so bad. Then they got a full on, giant, wild and completely untamed Macaw. They were afraid to reach into the cage (the size of a refrigerator) because it would try to bite and this bird could take off your finger like you or I would bite off a hunk of a carrot. Did I mention how loud it shrieked 24/7? You give wise counsel when you say not to get a bird on impulse. I would add never get a bird because you liked a similar looking bird.
Yes! These are great things to keep in mind befor getting a bird! I appreciate that you mentioned that birds bond with you and how sad it can be for the bird when owners just decide to give them up because they get bored of their bird!
Mango can learn to like other people too. Training is good for building trust with a bird. Just start from a distance were he feels comfortable and click train him for his relaxed State of mind. Treats are great too. Makes a bird like you. I have 8 years of experience with amazons. I had a very scared amazon who didn’t trust people and was afraid of anything new. It took a lot of time and patients but we ended up being the best friends and I could hold him and he was even okay with new toys in he’s cage and new people. It is possible. Just take time and training. And of cause love.
I've had birds when I was younger and never had them interact so i dont know from experience. I've done a lot of research lately though bc i want to get another one again and i've read that it isn't good or recommended to have 2 different species of bird in the same cage. but i'm not sure.
It takes quite awhile to safely bond (If ever) two different types of bird. It is possible-but you have to watch them closely every time they meet and keep putting them in the same area (outside the cage) for awhile before housing them together or it won’t be safe.
This was acctually me, I bought my cockatiel (from a pet store) around a year ago and thought it was going to be really easy to tame. I gave up trying to tame it and let it be. But I had a thought about what he is feeling: just sitting in his cage the whole day and doing nothing. Now I am trying my best to tame him, he's been eating a treat from my hand. I think I will tame that gal and we'll have a great life together! NEVER GIVE UP GUYS!!
Hopefully getting myself a little budgie or conure soon. If it’s a boy his name is going to be Kazoo and if it’s a girl Kosho or Kyroa It’s original okay
one thing I recommend for getting a bird, there is nothing wrong with getting a bird from a pet store, but oftin times those birds learn to be afraid of people. I would recommend getting a bird from a local bird rescue for a couple of reasons. 1. a rescue bird may not be adopted for years, since most people want, "le purbred purfecttt birb who comes for 4.99 in le pet store" 2. birds there can learn to bond with you much easier, since they have usually been with previous owners. now there will be lots of birds there who have been abused or neglected, who will not be so comfterble with people. but if you take care of them and love them enough, they can bond to you really well. 3. most rescue places are based on volunteer work, so by getting a bird and the supplies there, you can help the place open, therefore letting it save more birds. I would recommend this for people with more experence
Dogs bark, cats meow, and birds SCREAM

Mango: *going front and back* >:00000
i bought a lil parakeet from the pet shop because all the mature parakeets bullied him and cracked his beak so i kinds saved him,and now im taming him :D
any ideas wat to do first when tamed?
Play with him, teach him tricks, give him toys, let him sit on your shoulder/lap while you are watching tv/playing videogames. etc.
You can do this, just be patient.
mortal ubi this also helped me lol thanks
Darryl Sawyer when i got my first parakeet, i think i tamed it in the car cuz i open box to see it, it just got on my finger when i put it by its chest
My bird loves baths every morning he comes to the bathroom to get his daily spa treament
you've made this video 25 years late i have 40 now
Aamna Plays 40 birds???
dream girl well my dad had 10 before I was born but now I have around 38 budgies
Aamna Plays
Omg that's a lot! That's awesome though
I can't even get one. Lol. Hopefully my parents will let me get one or two soon! I'm a teenager begging for a bird like a 5 year old XD I could just go out and get one myself 😂
dream girl cool I'm nine but we have a bunch if birds! But I really want a cat
Aamna Plays
I have two cats.... and that's most of the reason I can't get a bird.
Please reply if a bird will be stressed out
+Tyler Rugge oh my gosh I didn't think you would reply! Thanks for helping me because we travel a lot Ō_Ō
+Tyler Rugge if I travel to like the beach for a week or longer could I leave my bird with the vet?
If you can't afford expensive pet-sitters, get a hamster and give a neighbor a few dollars to top-up the food bowl each day.
mango's colors are beautiful
poxii it’s mango colours
Yeah sun conures are beautiful
What kind of bird is he
xxx_Abbie_xxx that’s because he’s a sun conure. They are known to have bright, vibrant, tropical colors. Usually with orange, yellow, a tiny bit of red and some neon green. In my opinion, these birds are beautiful. I hope you understand birds and love them as much as I do. Once you do, you will be able to enjoy them even more!
Yeah sun conures are beautiful, and green cheek conures are cute! :3
Just got a pet bird named Kiwi today he's so cute!! 🥝

Ok so what i am 2.5 years late
I have had birds for 2.5 years
Your berd: my hooman singing to find a mate, cute.
How does your bird stay so quiet?
Angel xx thank you!
Happy TheCat how
Happy TheCat you let him sit next to you. Same goes with mine. If my bird isn't next to me, his alarm goes off.
Happy TheCat My jenday is just like the sun conure in this video. They want attention all hours unless they're sleeping. Unfortunately they will shriek when they know you're nearby but aren't giving them attention. So Mango is totally content on his shoulder.
The mouth is moving right? So maybe he did cut the voice of the bird.
8:34 their heads moved at the same time 💀💀
That was freaky lol
Watched it like 100 timss
My dream was to have a parakeet
Yoooooo
So true! People should do their research more before getting a feathered friend.
1) great and informative video!
2)you really love your pets and care for them, which should be normal, but sadly is not because a lot people don't care about animals :/
3)you are handsome
4)you seem to be really nice :)
5)I like your videos and character a lot :)
+Tyler Rugge thank you for answering! :) greetings from a german fan!
NOW I KNOW WHY ONE BIRD LOVES ME AND THE OTHER THINKS IM ITS PET. THX!
+fAt eLApHanT this made me laugh so hard 😂
I agree with everything but the (Birds hating children) I'm 11 and I own a Lutino cockatiel named Elvis he's very nice to me (my mom is scared of him lol)
Yui Rio its because most young children are rough. This makes the birds want to attack since they most likely feel frightened of the kid is squeezing it. So its more of a warning for kids like that.
Ryan and Elvis oh god😂😂😂😂
Ryan and Elvis I think he means toddlers....
Ryan and Elvis i think he means like a 5yr old or something
Same my moms scared of it cuz it’s big and mines named sunshine
😢 I just thought of my imaginary/future bird dying
Bruh same
That's one of the reasons I don't want a pet-
Bro I have a green cheeked conure and you're completely right
Im getting budgies today🦜 I already know a lot of this things but I’ve learnt so much from this!!!🦜🥰
I never had any pets in my life and 5 months ago i decided to visit a petshop and get a pet and so i got a 3 months old indian ringneck ,i never tried to get close to him but he always came to me ,one day i let his cage open and he flew in the house and i was sitting and eating my food and he came right over to me. So from that day i decided to spend more time with my IRN and i taught him tricks and i also gained his trust, wherever i go in the house he flies to me and he would sit on my shoulder for hours, he only shouts like 4 times a day and it isnt so loud, indian ringnecks are very smart and arent shy ,they also have a great personality and the more you spend time with them the less they will try biting ,but they need attention
sooo no one gonna talk about how PERFECT his eyebrows are
I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I got my first green cheek but then I fell in love with her and became her servant
My girlfriend thinks clipping they're wings is cruel I think it's fine it's not hurting them
Well, it's kind of like declawing a cat. I wouldn't clip the birds wings, just give it a harness.
+Quiet Stream well the wings grow back your really not doing any harm
Brandonthewolverine Oh okay.
+Quiet Stream yeah it's like trimming the end of hair. It's not connected to blood vessels or anything, it just keeps them from flying well so hey don't fly off by accident. It's not at all like removing cat knuckles which is cruel
+Quiet Stream personally I would still get a harness. I've already decided I want my bird to be flighted when I finally get one
I wouldn't even say they need as much care as a dog, I would say as much care as a child.
lol how many times does he say like
Furious Dasher988 :D
Furious Dasher988 lol iam dead
We should take a shot everytime he says "like"
He must be in California. It's a Cali thing. :L

What kind of bird is Mango?
a sun conure
+Robert H thank you :)
They're very very very loud by the way. In case you were considering buying one.
Oh that's fine by me! I've heard some pretty loud birds before, my father has birds at his house but for the life of me I don't remember what they are. But thank you for the heads up!
fantasyjojo17 like, they are incredibly loud. It's like a foghorn in your ear!
Idk if its just mine but my rabbits and birds aren't to hard to take care of but I agree with commitment they need lots of time and love and THEY LIVE FOOORREEVVEEERERR
Would a bird be ok for a 13 year old?
Ben Rebeiro As long as you are patient, calm and gentle
QuarterBach well I've had a rabbit before I looked after her well and my grandpa had 2 cockatiels that I would hold with no issue. I'm sure I'll be alright thx tho
Ben Rebeiro I would say a dove or a parakeet.
Ben Rebeiro Np
Would you consider a middle school aged child too young for a pet parakeet?
Indigoman 2410 i just turned sixteen and i've had a parakeet since early middle school. as long as the child has researched and learned about the bird prior to purchasing one, then you should be fine (:
im in middle school i have a huge amazonian parrot. i think youre ok.
i_like_birds I'm in the uk. 13 is middle school age, right? Well I have a budgie. (Parakeet) an DT he youngest is 10
If you do lots of research. I'm getting one and I'm 12.
I wanna get a bird, even though I own a hamster...and a bearded dragon...and I’m 10. Lol I wanna grow up to be like Tyler lol
ACE YT think twice...
I’m ten too and I am going to get a birdie tomorrow! You’re lucky tho... you have 2 more animals than me!
Allie Brooks how’s your bird? What kind?
I got a budgie and he’s doing great! Thank you
IHave NoIdeaWhatIAmDoing how about instead become a real man that likes women.
I have a pet bird his name is Rosie; he's more to me than just a pet, he's my best friend
What kind of bird? And is it too noisy? I want one but my parents said no because it will be loud and annoy my dog
Kaylee Lynn there’s certain birds that are quieter than others you just gotta do your research!
My pet conure Maverick is my best friend as well.
Becky Ann i have a bird named rosie too!
Rip Mango he was a great friend
Taking care of 3 month birds is like a dream come true but a nightmare at the same time
Mango hates anyone other than his owner, eh?
Little does he know...
Same, when im around him.
You are amazing and I could listen to your voice all day...
Also my parakeets Tiki, Chim, and Sylvie love you!
Dog goes woof, cat goes meow, bird goes SCREAM
Fellow bird keepers!
If your in school like me and you have a bird while your at school put on like noises and lots of toys, lots of things to do while your at school until you come home
No worries😉
it's like adapting a 5 year old with wings
Sun Conures are way too annoying how they immediately hate and actually attack people that aren't their bonded person.
i love the Indian Ringneck personality, though. very chill, content birds that will let anybody hold and scritch them.
PattyMMelt
my sun conure greeted everyone who came in the door
All birds are different.
They are NOT annoying. I have 3 Sun Conures and travel a lot with them. Outside the house they are extremely friendly. But when friends come to my house they are NOT that friendly
The reason why they are not friendly in the house with others, is because is THEIR HOUSE.
LOVE MY BIRDS!!
“Dogs bark cats meow and birds scream at the top of their lungs”
It's so important to know what you said in this video- birds are very peculiar and require their specific attention, perhaps as much or more attention than some humans need.
What about you having to buy a 100 spare phone chargers...
I’m ten but I have a friend with 7 birds and they don’t mind me so I’m getting a bird it’s either gonna be a finch or a canary
Q: what do you do when you tarvlig or just at work can you still have a bird if your traveling. Because that happens in ny life that am away all day an comes back in the after noon.
i love how this video is really general. not only for small or big birds. it really helped me out.
What's up with his eyes
ReptileRepublic it is the light shining in his eyes
ReptileRepublic they have white rings around there eyes
Reptile Republic you mean those beautiful things inside his face?? 😍😍
Jkjkjkjk, I'm not a crazy fan girl lolll 😂😂
Ive got 2 budgies
too late i have a bird...
he loves me :)
hes a budgie and he chill.
Hey what type of bird is mango. Mango's very pretty. And looks very sweet and calm.
Sun conure.
Yes! These are great things to keep in mind befor getting a bird! I appreciate that you mentioned that birds bond with you and how sad it can be for the bird when owners just decide to give them up because they get bored of their bird!

Hey Tyler, what kind of bird is mango, and I was thinking of getting one so I can train it, do they have to be young
Tyler Rugge ok thank you
Tetraspis yeh I was gonna adopt a cockatiel from the RSPCA but there were none in my aria so I'm getting two from a breeder
i was going to get a cockatiel too but i wanted a type of conure so i am going to adopt a green cheek conure
I know I shouldn't buy from the pet store, but the poor birds sit there for weeks or more, who rescues them from the store?
Its a Sun Conure
is Mango a lovebird? he looks so cute :)
Ikr
Mango is a sun conure love birds are a little smaller
Mango can learn to like other people too. Training is good for building trust with a bird. Just start from a distance were he feels comfortable and click train him for his relaxed State of mind. Treats are great too. Makes a bird like you.
I have 8 years of experience with amazons. I had a very scared amazon who didn’t trust people and was afraid of anything new. It took a lot of time and patients but we ended up being the best friends and I could hold him and he was even okay with new toys in he’s cage and new people. It is possible. Just take time and training. And of cause love.
Thank you for this I’ve been thinking of getting a bird and this helps me
Can someone please help me... is it okay if you get a green cheek conure and a parakeet in the same cage?? (if I do it will be a pretty big cage)
Aesth0tik depends on if they bond or not, keep a close eye on them
I've had birds when I was younger and never had them interact so i dont know from experience. I've done a lot of research lately though bc i want to get another one again and i've read that it isn't good or recommended to have 2 different species of bird in the same cage. but i'm not sure.
It depends if they get along or not
It takes quite awhile to safely bond (If ever) two different types of bird. It is possible-but you have to watch them closely every time they meet and keep putting them in the same area (outside the cage) for awhile before housing them together or it won’t be safe.
I have a sun conure and two parakeets and we have separate cages for them and recommend u get different cages for each but idk
What type of bird is that
Oscar Beattie Sun conure
Maverick
kiwi chill
This was acctually me, I bought my cockatiel (from a pet store) around a year ago and thought it was going to be really easy to tame. I gave up trying to tame it and let it be. But I had a thought about what he is feeling: just sitting in his cage the whole day and doing nothing. Now I am trying my best to tame him, he's been eating a treat from my hand. I think I will tame that gal and we'll have a great life together! NEVER GIVE UP GUYS!!
I’m going to be 12 and I may gat a bird for my birthday I’m doing a lot of research and I want to know if I should be older.
Tymber Holt I'm 12 and I have a blue budgie parakeet. Smaller is better for younger in my opinion so you can handle it easier.
Ye I am all so 12 tiring 13 and have that same bird I think that it is fine as long as u are responsible
Hopefully getting myself a little budgie or conure soon. If it’s a boy his name is going to be Kazoo and if it’s a girl Kosho or Kyroa
It’s original okay
Name it Kyra
do one on before you get a pet snake
one thing I recommend for getting a bird, there is nothing wrong with getting a bird from a pet store, but oftin times those birds learn to be afraid of people.
If I have school can I still have one
Canary is the best for that because they take care of them self and there fine without people or another bird
Yes as long as you still spend quality time with them and train them
