Filming was perfect man. Thats, such a beauty great old school bike...have always loved looptails diamond backs mongoose etc..also the anodising is sweet...great video man🤘👏
A friend back in 1982 had one almost like yours at the time he spent over $1000 part by part till it was completed image how much it's worth today if he keeped brand new still..he hardly rode it..
Beautiful bike!!! Someone was selling Magio's Torker 26" they was raved twice & put up 40 years, but it was $6k, worth it, but way outta my range, my new school builds cost $2k-$3k to complete, old schools are a lil too rich for my blood! 😆
I have the same bike with nearly the same color scheme. What color mags would you think look better with those blue gum wall tires? White mags or yellow mags?
I would go with yellow tuff wheels blue gum wall tires, or blue tuff wheels with yellow gum walls. Get the tuff wheels ll's because they come with the freewheel, regular tuff wheels come with a coaster break which were for freestyle, and the tuff wheels ll's(2's) were for BMX racing. I hope that helps.
Hai...Great bike you have there. I am just wandering.... what is the different between 1982 silver streak vs 1982 senior pro? How about the serial number? Is there any different ?
I know that the silver streak is a bit smaller I have two I hit my feet on the front wheel when turning with a normal size crank arm even putting my toes at the edge of the pedals the other diamondback is a bit bigger in length I dont have that problem plus the diamond brace is a little smaller too.
He has a lot of NOS on that bike. Not to be rude. He'd get 2500 to 3500 if lucky. Alienation handlebars is new school. And those aren't Hutch Bear Traps. Those are shark teeth. You can definatley define Hutch Bear Traps by their radius. Almost like a full circle. And the bodies of the pedals looked like a letter X
Not much, unless the Reactor won any kind of championship's or major races, or had any famous riders. What makes the 82 so popular is that Jonny Johnson won the Worlds on a 1982 Diamondback silver Streak. Hope that makes sense.
2023 ,Bring back many good memories! Sweet ride ! We all would have loved one of these back in the day ! Thanks bro stay deadly!

Same here. I'm a Schwinn Predator guy. Atari Decals :)
I think you made the right decision with going with the 1 piece crank. Great looking bike by the way.

I remember riding bikes to school and locking them cool 😎
A friend back in 1982 had one almost like yours at the time he spent over $1000 part by part till it was completed image how much it's worth today if he keeped brand new still..he hardly rode it..

When you cranked that in my mind means your about to do something

I have know idea. The bike was bought new from Bassett bike shop in 1982.
I know that the silver streak is a bit smaller I have two I hit my feet on the front wheel when turning with a normal size crank arm even putting my toes at the edge of the pedals the other diamondback is a bit bigger in length I dont have that problem plus the diamond brace is a little smaller too.
Love it
Use the old school three piece sugino aluminum crankset and YST conversion kit, bottom bracket that is the maxxy cross crankset
Are unsealed berrings as good as sealed
Sure they are, if you pull regular maintenance on your bike.
@@styalrcexactly right. What is that chain bro? That is nice nice nice😳
That chain never seen one like that
Certain old bmx bikes are going for up to $8000 on eBay. I don't see why this diamondback wouldn't fetch such a sum as well.

Bikes dope !!!
What kinda chain is on that beast
KMC Kool Knights half link.
Nice👍
Is it for sale
Dayum.
I got a 1995 I think …… it’s anDiamondback Reactor 7005 heat treat aluminum frame 4130 crmo forks and bars what do you think that’s worth ?
Not much, unless the Reactor won any kind of championship's or major races, or had any famous riders. What makes the 82 so popular is that Jonny Johnson won the Worlds on a 1982 Diamondback silver Streak. Hope that makes sense.
That’s a sweet ride! Do you ever take it off any sweet jumps?
Bad ass
Subbed . Verynice bike what year?
1982
Three piece cranks are overkill anyway. I like the looks of the mid 90's Haro Fusion one piece cranks the most.
Very cool 😎......we need more survivors like that
Are you selling it?
No sir.
Im gonna by one amazing colour combinations grey with blue and red tires 1982 for good price 500 euro! Almost new condition!
Manso cuadros .
What about the grips ….sell that bike to me man… how much ya want for it
It's not for sale.
Strange choice of parts, but a great build if you’re not going for originality, and want something cool looking to ride around on.
Will you sell me the extra parts you have left?
Beautiful bike!!!!!
