That Danelectro 59 has got to be the most underrated hero guitar on the planet. I love that Danelectro makes it out of masonite and that it costs as much as a starter guitar. 70 year old model, hasnt changed at all except to make the bridge demonstrably better, but you get the same guitar Page gig'd AND recorded with. What a banger. You play really great, too, Isaac. You heard Zep one day and said "Im, going to play that just like him" like most of us, then you actually did it. Hell, you actually kinda even look like the guy.
that's awesome. I've always liked to fool around with parts of this but never got the whole thing. Also I have that same yamaha TR10 sitting next to my couch. those are great amps
Excellent job! Impressive! That's coming from a (nearly) lifelong Page disciple. I've been playing awhile now and can't play this that well. I'll be looking and listening at your vid to improve some spots that I don't play as well. 👍👍
I’d love to hear you play a cover of the Berlin 80 performance of White Summer that “corrects” all of Jimmy’s flubs and turn it into what he was trying to play
@@joey86bu1 it’s very difficult to play it like Jimmy does. I am still always learning little things and secrets to this song and all of the other songs ! It’s never ending!
Damn man, this was insane. Fantastic job. Mind me asking what resources you used to learn this song? I have trouble just going off by ear. Was that how you learned? Are there some tutorials for this song that I’ve missed? Much help would be immensely appreciated. Great job!!!
unfortunately, the only way to learn this song properly is by ear. no one plays it correctly. i slowed down the recording to half speed, sometimes slower. have been learning this song for over a decade and am still trying to learn it.
@@reelpoundin6851 i really appreciate that! if you have the time, please check out my band legend zeppelin. i think those who are deep into zeppelin would appreciate us. take it easy

Isaac, I’ve been subscribed since your first upload. It’s been a long time but good to see a new video. Do you think you can do a cover of Page’s solo from How Many More Times from the Albert Hall. It’s probably my favorite live solo of his. I’ve never seen a cover of it on RUclips. Also, are those two copies of the Anthology? 😃
That’s a tough one! I will have to study that one again. Currently focused on 1973 Southampton show and am working on learning that show. Thank you for the support over the years. I wish I was more consistent! I hope to be more active next year. I have one anthology and one Jimmy page by Jimmy page :) feel free to follow me on Instagram. I post zeppelin stuff there sometimes too :) @joshu_ac is my Instagram .
This is amazing, how long have you been playing guitar? And what do you do to as practice to become this good? I love page and would appreciate help on getting better from someone like yourself.
I’ve been playing guitar for about 17 years. Been trying to learn this song for 15 years and am still learning !! Every time I listen to this song I hear a note that I missed. To be honest, the way I learned this song is by slowing down and listening to the song at half speed so that I can hear all the little notes. It’s tedious, but that’s the only way to learn this song because no one plays it correctly!
@@isaacpage1916 that’s amazing, thank you for your answer. I will get on the grind of learning these songs now lol. Have a great day. Hats off to you Isaac.
I think Page... Jimmy, was really good at incorporating Middle Eastern/Arabic scales and tones into his guitar work. I imagine he listened to a lot of Sandy Bull and Davey Graham. This is almost like seeing Jimmy Page reincarnated. It's just so frustrating that the real Jimmy Page hasn't produced more over the last few decades, compared to his earlier, younger, self.
@@isaacpage1916 I agree. I think he did the best he could too. His 'best' was absolutely fantastic and immense. He had this incredible ambitious dream about creating the music he had in his head. Considering how difficult it was for him to launch Led Zeppelin, he did remarkably well. Of course, it's incredibly difficult to follow that level of success, when it's over. When the 'magick' is gone, for whatever reason. John Bonham wouldn't have wanted the others to stop the band, 'just' because he was dead! He wasn't that kind of guy. He'd have wanted his mates to carry on and come back sleeker and stronger than ever. Triumph over adversity and that would have been a real tribute to his memory! Maybe Jimmy Page was just worn out after working so hard for so many years. He needed a break. But forty years is pushing it! I often think it's because he doesn't sing and needs a voice, someone elses voice. Jeff Beck suffered from that two. If Clapton couldn't sing, where would he be today? And all three of them were in the same band, the Yardbirds!
@@isaacpage1916 i am into blues, folk, preferably the classic rock from 66-71 hip to just about all of those & i dig funk with a little bit of soul from that era also
