I am gettin old and go way back with sitcoms.Way back to "Leave It To Beaver", "The Dick Van Dyke Show" ancient sitcoms. But of them ALL, this is my favorite. Great cast, that meshes so well, good writing, directing, etc.. One of my favorite Jim scenes is from "The Hot Girl", not one of my fave episodes, BUT, when Dwight goes into the conference room to flirt with Katy, winds up buying a purse for himself, Jim (in a falsetto voice) , at Pam's desk, "this is the prettiest one of all. I'm gonna be the prettiest girl in the ball " skit had me rollin on floor again. Just one of the thousands of belly-busters that I still get from this show. It'll last forever.
The Office is on the Mt. Rushmore of all-time sitcoms. The nostalgic among us who refuse to rate anything above the classics, or the less intelligent who think Big Bang has been funny for more than two consecutive seconds ever (40 year olds playing college aged hipsters? (no, they aren't nerds)), can cram it with walnuts. From beginning to end, I don't think The Office ever had a dud of a script. Seinfeld The Office Cheers The Simpsons (if animated shows count - this one was the absolute best ANYTHING on TV or in film for nearly 10 years).
