Christian Reflections Series 1: #1 The Beyondness of Things

The composer John Barry is best known for his Oscar-winning soundtracks to movies such as Out of Africa and Dancing with Wolves. But one of his pieces has a more intriguing title: The Beyondness of Things. Both the title and the music hint at something beyond the everyday, something meaningful and important that hovers just beyond our ability to grasp it. This short reflection considers how nature might be studded with clues to our true meaning and destiny, and fingerprinted with the presence of God?

These videos on reflection are waay to good to only have as many view as they do. Hopefully the algorith will soon figure out how profound of a thinker this man truly is, and how many people would enjoy these if they only knew they were here.

As the global cultural and geopolitical landscape seems to have clouded over, I have felt more and more like the elves who as the darkness spread from Mordor, where forced to leave Middle-earth; the starlit heavens seems like a wonderful place to go. If only I could flee thither!
