Most of our typical Vietnamese family (Husband & Wife, 2 kids) in Hanoi and HCMC manage to do well with total income below $1000 per monnth. I must look into health cover, something i keep leaving on the back burner

You should start a business to teach English in Vietnam or teach foreigners to speak Vietnamese since you are able to speak both language. Similar to NinjaTeacher with that guy Alex who lives in Saigon and has his own RUclips channel.
The locals love Western foreigners that can speak good Vietnamese for several reasons. 1. It's impressive and shows real dedication since Western languages and Vietnamese is vastly different. 2. Locals would think these foreigners whom go through the difficulty must like the Vietnamese or atleast really want to mingle in some way. 3. Any Western foreigner that can speak the local language is good for buissness. My family is close friends with an African guy that can speak perfect Vietnamese and English whom is married to a beautiful Viet women. Everyone loves him. Trust me though, getting good at Vietnamese is difficult because you gotta get the sound and tone right but practice is key.
Thanks very much for this video. I’m not thinking of moving there but want to spend a month or so, so there’s some very useful information for a newbie like I will be. :-)

Live like local, cause im local and it cost 7mils to 10mils vnd average to live ( just food, some bills , and rent) if u want some higher living yes there is out there but it not local anymore and cost around 15 - 20mils, district is important too, the price of living will be adjust to different area. Good day to you. edit: mils is millions and costing per month
It is $12 for Pho in the states now Phuc. Add tax, tip, and a drink to that bowl and you are paying $20 for a Pho meal. And it is not as good as Saigon's Pho.
I was born in Vietnam and qualify for a 5 years TRC in Vietnam. Do you think I can live a comfortable western standard life style in Vietnam on $2,500 a month retirement budget?
It’s not too bad, but the line can be very long. If you have a motorcycle license in your country, you can get it converted, if not, you probably have to take the driving test.
Great video Phuc! I’m Vietnamese living in US for 40 yrs and planning on my 1st trip in 2023. Can you make a video on what is the best way to get money from my US banks when I’m in VN and how do you carry money around, like in the US, we just use debit cards. Is ATM readily available ? And also cell phones, do I just carry my US phones and buy a SIM card? I’m clueless 🤪. Cảm ơn nhiều 😎
in the big city, ATM is always available. If you use VISA card then you can cash out anytime with the cost of 0.5$ per transaction, but remember to look for VISA logo on the ATM, some local bank ATM just support their card only. For the SIM card is quite easy and cheap (around 5-10$ that already have some money in it) to buy one that support 4G and have it install on your phone.
VISA ? MASTER CARD ?? IS WHERE. VN is growing fast. Most local restaurant use credit. You can go to bank to exchange money. Take 10 000 USD in your luggage you can have comfortable life in VN for 6-8 months.
I want to travel in Vietnam where do I need to buy insurance for myself. Just traveling to Vietnam only for week one month I just made insurance correct for my cell can you tell me please thank you 🙏🏼 I like your video I watch your video a lot thank you on RUclips
Good information. It is cheap, but it’s comparable to the work you get and the pay as well. Do they charge for an ambulance 🚑 there? Would the insurance you buy covers this? I think I could live there for 6-1 year with a job or else I would get bored. I think though I would miss things like Beautiful clean beaches in Australia & just cinemas & live entertainment. But, definitely a once in a life opportunity to explore.

Just live like a local, you're be a king/queen with 1.500 dollars per month.
Renting room: 200
Eating: 200
Traveling: 100
Hanging out: 100
Then, you still have 900 for doing whatever u want: vitting other provinces, having in restaurants, getting laid (30 bucks/shot)... :))
Thinking about going back to VN to live. Thanks for sharing Phúc đẹp trai nhất Sài Gòn 👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love you bro!!
You should start a business to teach English in Vietnam or teach foreigners to speak Vietnamese since you are able to speak both language. Similar to NinjaTeacher with that guy Alex who lives in Saigon and has his own RUclips channel.
Nice video. Thanks.
Good video. I shared it with my AVSE-Tesol group.
Awesome, thank you!
I feel welcomed by the community at home in Vietnam and abroad
Thanks for the vlog!
Now, 1$ = 23.950 vnd, ra tiệm vàng đổi có giá hơn local bank.
@@khangbao3064 là tỉ giá, nghĩ sao ai lại mang 1 đô đi đổi!
Vậy hả?
I love Phúc mập channel. 😍 💖 ❣ 💕..thank you 😊
Thanks very much for this video. I’m not thinking of moving there but want to spend a month or so, so there’s some very useful information for a newbie like I will be. :-)
Glad to hear it helped
Live like local, cause im local and it cost 7mils to 10mils vnd average to live ( just food, some bills , and rent) if u want some higher living yes there is out there but it not local anymore and cost around 15 - 20mils, district is important too, the price of living will be adjust to different area. Good day to you. edit: mils is millions and costing per month
No doubt 🤜🤛
Chúc mừng năm mớiiiiiii !
How have you lived in vietnam that long I want to move there and know the process of moving

I do the same thing when converting currency regardless of actual exchange rate...100 yen, 30 baht, 20k dong, 50 peso. im fine with ball park figures
So much easier

Thanks Phúc Mạp
all true and confirm by a very very Vietnamese 😂 you did a good job Phuc map😂😂
appreciate ya!
great vid!
Thanks a lot!
Always awesome
The lighting was very well done.

I would think so. $1000 for rent will get you a quality spot just about anywhere in Vietnam. Using the rest will get you quite a bit.
Great video
Your Vietnamese is now better than mine ehehe.😀
appreciate it!
Can you talk about cost of ozone therapy and other medical expenses in Vietnam?
Phuc map oi??? Di dam lung and happy ending thi bao nhieu Phuc???
Thanks! Can you please share if you hear about 60 or 90-day visa for USA.
How hard is it to get a license to drive ?
@@IllIdan1st awesome! Thank you.
VISA ? MASTER CARD ?? IS WHERE. VN is growing fast. Most local restaurant use credit. You can go to bank to exchange money. Take 10 000 USD in your luggage you can have comfortable life in VN for 6-8 months.
I’m curious as to the difference in cost from living in the heart of the city as opposed to just outside in the countryside or rural areas
Definitely different, but not too drastic
@@phucmapvlog thanks and keep the content coming… showing love for out Tampa/Brandon peeps!!!
Quá hay anh Phúc.
What about taxes and can you keep your American citizenship or do you need to get a Vietnamese one when becoming an ex-pat?
Still have to file taxes, but don’t pay unless it’s $100,000 plus income

I know you are doing a sponsor deal about insurance here in saigon. But what do you personally use yourself?
Personally, I’ve been lucky enough to have a job that provides health insurance
@@phucmapvlog Aww.. I am really looking for one here. Bao Viet is horrible plans. Not sure any others. Please recommend away :D

I want to travel in Vietnam where do I need to buy insurance for myself. Just traveling to Vietnam only for week one month I just made insurance correct for my cell can you tell me please thank you 🙏🏼 I like your video I watch your video a lot thank you on RUclips
You can check out the insurance options from SafetyWing here: safetywing.com?referenceID=phucmapvlog&Ambassador
They have subscriptions so you can just buy it for as long as you’re traveling
ID say 20 mil VNĐ is minimum if you can help it.
But, definitely a once in a life opportunity to explore.
some good concerns, not sure on the ambulances
Depending how do you want and where to stay..
If you want a simple, light and fun life, only in Vietnam
