That’s exactly what I was thinking.
Those lines are genius
when Eve said "we'd never make it that long" and Villanelle just smiles- she smiles because she likes the idea of Eve thinking about them that way. It's so pure and so comforting for her to realize someone cares about her that much.

That pretty much sums up their whole relationship. Lol
When V and her mother were speaking in 3x5, she said to her “I’ve killed a lot of people,” and her mother didn’t say anything. She looked like she didn’t even care. V says it again here and Eve simply responds with “I know” and you can see V give a small helpless smile. Eve really is the only one that genuinely cares about V and it seems like it took V a while to understand what love actually is and how it’s supposed to feel. That it’s not possessive (“you’re mine”) but selfless and caring. This season had me stressed lol but after this finale, I now understand the greater picture. That these two really had to do some introspective reflecting in order to get to this moment. I was thoroughly impressed with this whole episode. Can’t wait for season 4!

They did ti with Villanelle but Eve character os a bit stuck this season...until this fínale where She does something for The plot
Dontwantausernamename yes!! I also noticed how in 2x08 V was so manipulative over Eve “youre mine” and “you love me” . But in 3x08 she actually gave Eve the choice wether she wanted to be with V or not. All she had to do was walk away, but she didnt. I loved the ending, its way deeper than another kiss and i feel it really says someting about the psychological development of the both of them, but especially Villanelle’s.

Not sure how else to put it, but this feels like so much more of a proper culmination of their relationship than what we got in S4. The depth is so subtle and palpable here.
@Galloping Goose have you seen the finale? I wonder why they wrote the finale as they did? It would have been great to have had the chance for more Eve and V in the future.
V is so deep into sadness from rejection and loneliness. She has noone to ask her about her day, to listen to her problems,watch a movie with,go shopping with,someone to love her. Her own mother denied her her last chance of hope. Literally noone.
She's given up trying. And then Eve comes and asks her " What happened" because she senses her pain and need for human intimacy. Eve is the only person that not only can read Villanelle but also cares about her feelings. And it's as if Villanelle knows this and she becomes softer around her. She feels comfortable in just being herself,in just existing. With everyone else she has to try to fit in and she always fails,maybe because she's too desperate for a human connection and the universe is sadistic like that when we are desperate. But with Eve she doesn't waste energy and time trying to be normal like everyone else,and because of that there's room in her head to experience and enjoy the moment ,instead of calculating it. She feels at peace.
Eve on the other hand has people who love her in her life yet noone gets her. Only Villanelle. With her she feels fully awake,as if everything makes sense,as if everything has purpose. She feels at peace too.
That's why their connection is so sacred. It's their salvation, their escape from misery and apathy.
This scene is poetic. It captures the moment two broken hearts melt together into love. This is what inner peace looks like.

Good vision, Sandra is incredible!
This was one of the best Killing Eve scenes of the entire series. A truly heartfelt and vulnerable scene for both Eve and Villanelle which beautifully is bittersweet and brief. We watch intently and hope that maybe they finally become a couple, but we know that this moment won't last long, and we are sadly prove a few minutes later when the other assassin makes an appearance. While I enjoyed the final scene of series 3, this was a better scene, purely from my perspective.

I've never seen anything like that. How can you cancel a whole chapter in the characters' development, and not even create a believable storyline as alternative, We don't know who they emotionally are for half 4th season (especially Eve), the plot was ridiculous, and then they tried to put all the emotional closure in the last episode, but destroyed everything with an insulting ending (so badly written, so full of holes, so rushed). Final season is a infinite mess. The series, these characters, these amazing actresses deserved way more.
That's the sad part about having new writers each season because they don't know the characters well enough

Uhhhh... 😍😍😍 they got it right. Picked the perfect actresses for these two characters. Simply charismatic, so much chemistry. Without these two women's capabilities and their writer's there wouldn't be a killing eve to watch in upmost awe!!! Love the show truly a FAN!!!!!!
Villanelle and eve forever.
Coming back to this scene almost after 2 years and a few hours before the KE's final episode airs. Ahh so many memories and nostalgia that it almost feels surreal. I don't know what the finale has for both us and villaneve, but whatever it is, disappointing or not, it feels nice that we got this scene. Though tragic in some ways, the sincerity and subtle gentleness between these two are just dissipating all the unspoken pain. I'm sure I'll come back to this scene for years to come.

It’s not good sign, villanelle keep thinking the past, I hope she won’t die at the end. She do now realised all the killing was wrong, people just using her. She knows how to care and protect Eve. So touching when villanelle saying she killed many people. Eve replied so softly and gentle “I know”.
I would never forgive the writers if they killed off Villanelle, even if it was right at the end. But I can see where you're coming from and I get a horrible feeling it's leading up to that.

Villanelle busca sentir "la normalidad"...Eve se preocupa y quiere saber que le pasa... También hay un sentimiento de "voy a poder cambiar?", porque todos (menos) Eve, le han dicho "Mounstro", "Que no tiene otro propósito su existencia"(matar), "Que nunca va a ser normal", Sus preguntas existenciales desde que encontró a su familia biológica, el que su mamá nunca la quiso, talvez por algún problema de la madre misma, el celo que le tenía porque el padre de Oksana la quería más a ella, que a su mujer (según su madre). Ufff es que es un lió pobre Villanelle. Y siente algo que nunca experimento, o talvez no tan vivídamente. Se complementan toxicamente... Y esa confesión que la vimos en el capitulo con la madre, donde le dice "He matado mucha gente", esperando que la madre la reconforte y diga: "Pero queres cambiar, o te ayudo a que sentir diferente a buscar algo diferente, te quiero salvar si vos lo dejas" ninguna respuesta vino, no como ella quería, entonces la misma afirmación se la hace a Eve, y Eve no se aleja, no la estigmatiza, porque sabe que es así mal o bien, se conocen, la conoce y solamente dice "Lo sé"(siento ese dolor, por lo que te hicieron hacer, por que buscaste la manera de sobrevivir, porque tiene ese mounstro adentro que la maneja, pero quiere esa liberación), es que me he vuelto algo sicóloga con esta chica 🤭. Eve es lo opuesto claro, pero Villanelle la hace sentir que puede liberar también a su mounstro interior...es que está muy buena la serie y las temporadas(TODAS).
Es lo que mas me gusto de la temporada, que ahora se profundizo mucho mas a los personajes , especialmente villanelle , ojala que la cuarta temporada se resuelvan los problemas de las dos :)))

When Eve asks "What happened?" She was referring to the thing in prison that "broke" Villanelle, something she refuses to talk about, even with her. It must have been a horrific trauma that she endured that made her cold and unfeeling towards people, to feel nothing and even joy in the ending of their life.
The fact that it said FIRST dance and I got excited shows how desperate I am for them smh

Actually I can. Season 2 was trash compared to season 1. This season wasn't that good either. It had great moments, yes, but more than that, no.
The cowriter for this episode is the lead writer for season 4.

I am sure it won't be trash, the co-writer of this ep is taking over series 4 and her writing seems a lot stronger. Stay hopeful! It would majorly piss me off though if we get another season with V and Eve barely spending any time with each other. But I have faith in this writer, I have absolutely no idea what she is going to do with the show. I wouldn't know where to take it from here haha but I am sure it will be good!

Thing is V, if she is a true psychopath (and she is), she will ALWAYS feel the need to kill. Guess that's why they started Eve down the dark side with her wimp attempt at killing. Maybe some sort of Hannibal (the T. Harris book) type ending for the show. It will be interesting next season if they cover that. They really need more episodes per season. Those 2 are odd FIRE on the screen.
@jim kirk yeah, but tv psychos are a different breed. None of these people are real, and television writers take great leaps of 'make s#%t up' when portraying characters on the screen to fit their narrative.
@jim kirk these two are damaged goods and will always doom each other. Its part of the show's message to me. They don't give us enough to really know where these people's heads are really at, especially based on real life clinical behaivor. Like other shows about fun to watch nutjobs like the Sopranos. Anything that touches these two and the people above them will turn to dirt.
As far as their mental states I think its more about pacing things out than these characters personalities and fleshing them out. Because really, we could have got to this point in season 1. if nothing else the obvious weird attraction between these two was real enough for them to explore it full on earlier.....but considering what Vill has done up to this point since season 1, Eve is a WAY less likable character now. Vill as wonderful a character she is, belongs under a maximum security jail or someone's death penalty lol. Eve is fine with Vill's murder and wants to be like her in a way.....she's just as looney as she is. And her superiors are nuttier than that.
So now as a new season comes......what exactly is the show about now?
