Every single person that watches Killing Eve falls instantly in love with Jodie from the second they see her on screen. She has a quality that is so rare. You can stick any beautiful woman in front of a camera, it's what inside that makes them capture an audience and Jodie is the perfect example. You can't teach what she has. Brilliant actress. I hope she takes home another BAFTA in may.

Because to be genuinely kind is one of the many signs of a greater capacity of understanding others Therefore she plays her so well because she understand her very well. Maybe. Idk.

@@zidane815 Kind persons don't understand psychopaths. They're polar opposites. In fact empathic people are often exploited by ruthless psychopathic manipulators. That's because they're under the faulty impression there's something "human" and "empathic" deep down in an emotionally cold psychotic. There's nothing to "understand" in a psychotic anyway, they're purely driven by egotistical needs and have zero understanding (in a way which is utterly alien to normal people) of the mayhem they cause in other people's lives.
A true empath with a sense or rationality (and this isn't always a trait among kind people, far from it) would spot a psychopath and either distance themselves from them or warn others. Being able to spot them doesn't mean they "understand" them, merely that they're more rational and level-headed than those people who take everything at face-value (which is why so many psychopaths have a field day in the first place).
Listen, you're superimposing your own pre-conceptions of a person you don't know. Acting is lying convincingly. Harsh but true. In fact a genuine psychopath who is successful in life would have distinct advantage here.
The true thespians are experienced in different kinds of people and base their role from the script they're given (which is why some actors turn down roles which are either poorly written or doesn't fit them). Playing a caricature of a psychopath is actually fairly straightforward. If you're "entertained" you'll believe anything as a viewer. Kudos to the *writer* then.

What an incredible talent. I can't remember the last time I saw an actor so brilliantly juggle being funny, scary and real. Maybe not since Christian Bale in American Psycho. That's certainly not to say that she's just a female version of that because certainly not. Her performance as Villanelle is absolutely it's own, very unique thing. The number one thing Killing Eve has going for it is definitely it's two lead performances, with Sandra Oh being excellent as well. However Jodie Comer, when she's on screen you just cannot take your eyes off of her. I hope to see her in many more future projects. With Killing Eve's showrunner Phoebe Waller-Bridge involved in the Bond franchise, hopefully she can get Comer on board with one of those films.

Every so often you see an actor\actress that makes you stop what your doing in awe, the last time this happened was watching Michael Sheen in 'Dirty Filthy Love' a man suffering from OCD, it was captivating and I could see the versatility in him, someone like that comes around only once in a blue moon. Jodie Comer is one such actress.
