Amazing song, amazing talent. Eddie was so ver underrated it's a crime. No other guitarist has touched me as deeply as Eddie has done over the years. As a 31 year old from the UK, one of the biggest sorrows of my life is that I never had the opportunity to see him perform live.
You must be 41 now, I’m 22 and I feel very similar to how you do. I spend all of my free time pouring over Eddie Hazel and Steve Hillage works, my heart yearns to speak this dialect of the guitar language that they used.
one of the few who just played what was inside.no "real"style.just eddie hazel as is.thats what artistry is.when the true self shines through.you dont see it often
Cant really put prince in the same category guitar wise as hazel, hendix, van halen , trower etc ... he didnt play enough rock.. when he did play it , he was good at it.. but his body of work - rock wise - doesnt comes close to the cats i mentioned
@@bradquery779 Prince did play plenty of rock. I have plenty of his rock music. It just wasn't played on the radio, mainstream platforms & most of it wasn't released.
The great Eddie Hazel, like the singer Billy Stewart(Summertime), passed on too soon before they could record all the material they could have. But the quality of the music they did find time to record makes up for lack volume.
I think Buddy Miles is on drums. He is on "Coming round the Mountain" they did a few sessions together during this time. Tiki was more pocket than those fills. I would know I was also a P-Funk drummer!
I used to think.it was tiki.but to me it sounds more like big foot Because gc gave tiki credit for songs big foot I'm thinking tiki did things that big foot did Good thing jerome cleared some things up sadly I doubt him and gc will never reconcile
@bouncingczechs Ahhhh...well....you know people - always looking at the "new" thing. Forgetting the Eddie Hazel's of the world who made it all possible. What can you do?

I believe you. It would surprise me more to hear this was tiki rather than Buddy.
@@bill_y4762 pay attention to my profile pic seen to the left! I'm actually playing "Maggot Brain" with GC & P-Funk when that pic was snapped! LMAO
