There are many very good interpretation of this marvelous piece of music that I love very much. Valentina Igoshina is my favorite. I love the way she made the accompaniment alive, giving the feeling that she plays it apart, a kind of companionship, or response to the melody.... All is think and feel at the same time, almost as question...
I like this interpretation the most . Not overly done or exaggerating. I can literally feel the overwhelming emotions inside her , and my soul . Very , very well done .
I dont like this interpretation at all . Overly done and exaggerating. I literally can`t feel the overwhelming emotions inside me, nor my soul . Not very , very well done at all.
So many rush the 4ths and 6ths in this piece and turn it into a race to get back to E. The brilliance of this etude is in finding and returning to its sorrowful melody. I've learned to not rush it and allow the dissonance some time (be careful with the pedal though so as not to muddy the sound). Another element that Valentina does so well is the connection between the elements of this piece. There is a last to 1st beat connection in many places where everything needs to match in order for the piece to sound connected, whole. Beautiful rendition.
There are many differences in the left hand part between the Urtext edition and this recording at 3:23. Is there another edition that you used to learn this piece?
Some great things here. But she ruins it with what she says in beginning. The ego is strong in this one. Her playing could he deemed humble but it seems to have more to do with her limitations and overall lack of personality.
It’s because she is dressed as Countess Delfina Potocka, a close friend of Chopin. She played the soundtrack for a film about their relationship, some fake letters and an unexplained suicide in Poland in 1939.
Really love her overly dramatic mini-monologue. Seriously? It's so cliche. They all think their artistic value rests upon being able to manufacture an explanation of some mysterious, higher dwelling of their soul that's beyond the comprehension of every other being. Sure, but we just don't hear that when you play. Spend more time practicing to get what you want from the instrument rather than thinking you'll just convince everyone with a little bit of bullshit. You're welcome

Painist or not, young or old, how can you not love Chopin?! He wrote the most beautiful music for the piano!
I agree. Chopin was the best composer of the time

Warmth, passion, pain and longing … such beautiful rendition. Thank you Valentine 💝
Chopin is smiling from the above ❤
I've been listening to this beautiful video every year for the past 10 years since I first found it. Still makes me emotional even until today.
A highly tasteful and expressive account of this famous Etude.

She gets the tempo throughout just exactly right.
mscaroline4097 personally I like the Horowitz version better

He wrote poems with his pieces
to all etude op10 no.3 versions, this is what I imitated, thank you miss for the beautiful interpretation.
Valentina, thank you so much, this is the best rendition of this piece i've ever heard. Couldn't help but cry. Chopin would be proud. Bravo!
Yes! The best yet
The heart if Chopin is buried in Poland. It's for every pianist to go an visit
I share Valentina’s sentiments of Chopin and it’s no wonder I love her presentation of this magnificent piece. So happy to have found this gem.
This is actually my favorite Chopin piece as well as Polonaise Op. 53

Enchanting performance.

Why does every young pianist fall in love with chopin?
He had a nice dick.
DongerLady ToTen For the same reason every old pianist does.
+Diil Avery wtf dude .... but thx anyway
+Diil Avery XD
If you have to ask the question...
Chopin himself said he couldn’t have composed a more beautiful melody
best ever. ive learnt a lot! thxxxxxxx
She feels this piece with every atom of her soul.
Natalie Nitz technically souls are not physical, therefore cannot be made of atoms
wait ...
Frédéric Chopin hold on...
So beautiful interpretation with a,larve melody and soft basses!!!

So beautiful - music and you
Bravo!!!👋👋👋🌷🌷
Belíssima interpretação!Parabéns!👏👏👏
Played with a truly Polish heart
Great!
Great and beautiful pianist.
I agree, probably one of the best interpretations of this nocturne on the web. Bravo.
MrAvalon2010 this is an Etude not a Nocturne.
+Suzanne Ricchini It's all about the hair, huh, Suzanne?
I think she can get the feeling of Chopin at that moment
make me dream
She played it just like Chopin himself would have played it, plus she has the voluptuous look for this voluptuous, romantic piece😌
Még női művésztől nem hallottam, meghatóan gyönyörü volt.
Beautifull woman for a beautifull song .. 💜💚🖤
So schön zart gespielt

Dedicata al mio piccolo Calogero quando è nato.
everybody is ignoring the elephant in the room 🙂 i'll say it, she's gorgeous

Pure mannierism...

There's literally nothing she said that could/should be taken as egotistical.
Why you play piano so good and have so horrible hair?
at beginnin when you speak you are so incredible beautifull.
Her hair is not horrible.
Oh, she is absolutely lovely either way. Some men like kinky hair!

your wrote this 5 years ago....I certainly hope you regret it by now...
Mauricio Beltre why?
