The game takes place in an ambiguously medieval european setting, there is no legal drinking age, people probably wouldn't bat an eye if Cyril took a beer or diluted wine with his meals.

Yeah she's about 19-20 years roughly if you go by Jeralt's journal. Also people were considered adults much earlier in medieval times then today.

I remember a comment from Balthus (I think it was after the Battle of the Eagle and Lion) where he stated that he wished that there was “fun juice” at the celebration. So I assumed that meant a majority of the students are still considered minors and not allowed to drink.

@@ShadowStar-wo8vi that's probably because of localizations when translating and other nonsense when a Japanese game goes to America... also, it is stated that there are several bottles of very expensive wines somewhere where they keep the food and drinks when you are asking about anything worth stealing... it just seems weird that it would be for staff and the knights only... in fact, I bet the glasses are filled with some of this wine during the dance... no real confirmation about that though, just me rambling

@@filiaaut Also in most european countries, the drinking age is still lower than for example in japan or america. Here in germany for example, from the age of 14 onwards minors are allowed to buy alcohol from the age of 14 onwards in the presence of a legal guardian and freely at 16, only spirits are restricted and only legal to purchase from age 18 onwards. I could see the school not distributing spirits with high alcohol content though, just because it is still an officiers academy under the control of the church so they probably will expect a certain level of discipline and dignity, so they will probably not distribute anything with a higher alcohol content, just because you don't want a bunch of noble teenagers to get wasted and disgracing themselves. Drinking wine or beer in moderation on the other hand probably would be common.

My sister and I have agreed that Golden Deer is the correct route. Regardless of who Byleth wants to bang, Claude is the only sensible one of the three leaders. Dimitri is slightly crazy and makes poor decisions, and Edelgard is quite frankly an idiotic ass who makes all the worst possible life choices. At the very start of the game, you save her from being killed by bandits SHE HIRED to kill “as many students as possible”.

Claude is right, Lorenz has already become acquainted with the Future Dutchess Reigan. Of course it would be hypothetical after all, the Leicester alliance will no longer exist, Byleth will be the Queen of Foldlan and Claude will be the King of Almyra by then.
I ship Claude and Girl Byleth together so hard!
Also damn Manuela is looking fine in this art style!

I don't think we need to worry about Byleth. Growing up in a merc group run by her father she's probably a heavy weight and is more responsible. Jeralt would have made sure of that instant she was old enough
