See, I really do love Claude, but I just think it's a massive disappointment that he didn't react that much in Verdant Wind that the Flame Emperor was Edelgard. Sure, he was shocked, but I really love how this comic shows he's more shocked and angered about her betrayal. I get it's probably out of character for Claude, but apart from Dimitri who had an amazing reaction in Azure Moon and the Black Eagles' reactions of Edelgard's intentions in Sliver Snow, but it's a shame that Claude didn't had a huge reaction in VW. But great job on this though! ^^
Maybe late but after hopes it kinda makes sense why he didn't react as much as he saw a chance in it. Also considering Claudes views on betrayal it would also make sense

Given, in her mind, the central church had near totally wiped out the other two in their bid for, what looked, to be fair, a grab at TOTAL power in the church, and given thry knew Sothis part in this (though debatable wether they realized Byleth was the catalyst at that time), Eld likely reasoned "Its now or never, we wait any longer, Garrach Machs hold will be unbreakable, even by a unified Fodlán"
After watching this, I really do want a comic dub for betraying Rhea, but with Byleth stabbing Rhea instead of just moving to Edelgard's side with all the students watching. Could play out like Mercutio's death in 1968 R+J. Great work.
almost a year has passed since i've owned the game and i still don't know why Edelguard didn't make an alliance with.....uhh the alliance prior to the professor's comeback. Pretty sure Claude would accept since he doesn't have any relations with the empire or the kingdom (besides Hilda's cousin) and possibly find another solution. Also this is a beautiful dub and comic. good shit!
to be fair... if she just... explained what she was doing to Claude and Dimitri... she'd probably get both of their support for it... I understand that it doesn't work like that, since then there wouldn't be a choice at all... but honestly, I kinda wish there was a "true ending" that unlocks after getting all 4 (or 5 with DLC) endings where she does talk to them and they agree, becoming a new unified Fodlan together, with each leader handling a different task, such as Claude focusing on foreign affairs or Dimitri handling military affairs... TWSitD wouldn't stand a chance against the 3 together like that, and of course, none of the favorites have to die

TWSITD have the Empire in their hands so getting help from dimitri is a no go (that and the empire seemed to be at bad hands with the Kingdom, with the duscur incident and the mother of dimitri dead). But seeing as Claude is the exception cause he is from a country OUTSIDE of Fodland. Edelguard could've asked Claude for help. It's not like they have an all seeing eye or spies in the monestary. Only Thomas and Kronya, and Kroyna wasn't even enrolled during the first Month so she could've just hinted at Claude if she needed help. Cause Claude is known for being a trickster but also a smart one, so he could've decoded the sos or any kind of hint Edelgaurd left for him. Also the Ashen Wolves is basically the good ending. seeing as they spent a good majority in the underground, Dimitri and Edelguard get to know each other and since the TWSITD knew nothing of them, she wasn't pressured to keep an act or followed, she was just herself (there was a moment in the conversation where Dimitri and Edelguard said to each other that they look familiar and if they have met before).
@@AlejandroRodriguez-cy8ee I mean... sure, the Kingdom and Empire aren't in the best relationship... but it's not Edelgard's fault that Duscur happened, and explaining that they know who did it and that she's out to kill them too... would at least patch up the relationship because "enemy of my enemy" sort of deal... she was just as much a bystander who happened to get caught up in it by mistake, but because she can't just swallow her pride and talk about it with them, nobody gets a real explanation until it is too late, and things fall apart... it's why without DLC, the best ending is AM after recruiting everyone you can, since the only playable characters who die outside of personal losses, are Edelgard, Hubert, and the Death Knight himself besides that though... you are right that Edelgard can't just walk up to them to explain herself with people watching every movement she pulls all the time, but she just needs to send a message to Claude like you said, and include "pass this to Dimitri when you are certain it is safe" in said secret message and it'd get the job done

So explanations would've been need to be made in secrecy and through codes. which again i think that's something Edelgaurd could've done. looks like a crest stone, which enemies were stealing and the class were retrieving as a sidepiece to this mission
