I have seen Streetheart many times. The first times in 1978, and 1979, then many times between then and 1988. Always a great show. Rest in peace Kenny.
1st time I seen Streetheart live was in 1979 they opened for RUSH! I met Kenny in a coffee shop in Winnipeg a few years later. Class act. R.I.P. Kenny.
The crazy part is: Outside of Canada these guys are practically unknown. FFS!!!! Their best songs easily hold up to the best US or UK classic rock. Hell, as a 80s teen I thought I was listening to Sweet while hearing some of their early singles.
I first seen them in Cowansville, Que in 1979 with Max Webster backing them up and in Montreal when they backed up Styx. I think I love this more now than I did then and I loved it then.
Reminds me of the Canadian bands that headlined at the Edmonton Coliseum back in the ‘80s like Toronto, Trooper, Prism, April Wine, Triumph. Now they play nightclubs if at all, sadly. RIP Kenny, you guys were awesome!
I saw Streetheart in the late 70s or early 80s. I still have my ticket stub somewhere. They played at "Holiday Rock " at the London Gardens in London Ontario. This has always been my favorite Streetheart tune. I still have the album. A great Canadian band !
My first experience watching a live band in a bar, was Kenny shields at the ZOO in wpg. 1988. I walked in just as spider was doing his bass solo in under my thumb. 30yrs later and seeing many amazing concerts. I am still haven't seen that show topped yet.
Time moves on but great bands like streetheart, trooper, harlequin, loverboy, etc, etc, queen city kids, Doug and the slugs, 5440, fist, anvil, too many!! Keep us alive. Let's keep them alive. So good! Rock on.
just saw the video...Kenny you Rock and it doesnt matter your age...its clear your heart, your soul and your incredible voice are all kicking and sounding excellent...glad your still touring...I LOVE YOU GUYS...you are a huge part of my life growing up...keep on touring...age is just a stupid number...its whats inside that counts

MEANWHILE BACK IN PARIS - ACTION. One of the top 2 songs globally in 1978. Coulda been from Devonbush UK or Saskabush CA, bottom line is One of the top 2 songs globally in 1978.
i always personally though Frenette and Dean ripped off a lot of the arrangements of Action to produce Turn Me Loose. In my mind there is no question they did a spectacular production of for Turn Me Loose, but really they should have acknowledged its roots as being the original Streetheart "Action "

Saw them in 1980, loved them ever since.
Kenny's voice here is phenomenal 43 years later !!!
Sorry he's gone.
I am absolutely floored at how his voice sounded exactly as it did 40 years ago!!! RIP Kenny
This intro has to be one of the best ones around ,great song and band RIP Kenny
Shocked at how good his voice still is… this band should have been bigger
Saw SH once in the late 70's and Kenny a few times. What a great singer and performer! A real genuine person too.
What a voice! And, it only broke when he wanted it to. Thanks for the memories, Kenny.

I keep coming back to watch because the audio is so good ... and I miss Kenny .
We miss and. Love you Kenny
Wow! Kenny always sounds Great! I’ve just come across an old 45 rpm of an early Kenny Shields when his band was Witness Inc. The song is “Jezebel”
I first seen them in Cowansville, Que in 1979 with Max Webster backing them up and in Montreal when they backed up Styx.
I think I love this more now than I did then and I loved it then.
Missing you Kenny!
2022 🇨🇦
Wish I was born with voice like him.😍
Wow, what an experience, to see a guy old like me sing like a teenager. He's awesome.
I loved it when you know you have dedication in a band. The keyboard player only missed one show of all the tours they had from the beginning ❤
And That Kiddys..... is Real Rock and Roll !!! :)
Reminds me of the Canadian bands that headlined at the Edmonton Coliseum back in the ‘80s like Toronto, Trooper, Prism, April Wine, Triumph. Now they play nightclubs if at all, sadly. RIP Kenny, you guys were awesome!

Wow; how about Barn 22 from nearby Grayson Sask! Cheers from Australia
The loss of Kenny Shields and his majestic musical perfection will never be forgotten.
Special thanks to Jeff Neil, Streetheart lives on!

Brent from Saskatchewan
Rest in peace Kenny.
Sounds great !!
No offence to Bruce Jacobs but I fell in love with Spider playing the bass on this song
Yea me too💓
That voice never changed.
Can't believe his voice can still cover all those ranges...I can't even get a two octave range anymore. Good on ya Bro!
His voice can be compared to Jon Anderson of Yes. His talking voice appears to be his singing voice as well.
Thinking of you Kenny 2024
Holy crap he still sounds like he does on my records
I was wondering about that hi part covered it pretty well
R.I.P KENNY SHIELDS -
Huge hole in my heart.... :(
Yeah just heard about the news...very sad.
Nice to see them playing all those big venues ... like Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
My mother's birthplace long ago...
Awsome night
A west bound Air line took her away.
Shit, he still sounds good.

is that Daryl Guttheil on keys?
Sounds like where Turn Me Loose came from.

Totally agree
"" R.I.P - K.S. "" !!!!🤘✌👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇬🇧🇬🇧🤘✌👍!!!!
who is this? it sounds like Kenny Shields, but it can't be Kenny. can it?
It is
You must be joking. No one else could sound like that.
You say one month free and can't get it because you want pay, false advertising
Oops looks like I loaded up the bar bit too much lol
I enjoyed to cooldown room beers
Norm gets them goin lol
I watched jenny shields dance on stage. His movements were very fairy like or gay. I think he's a closet gay and it never got out. Love the music tho.
sang that great, just wish he didn't dress like a lawyer on stage
His choice of clothing was stylish, as was Eddie Money.
A refreshing change from the tee-shirt and jeans uniform.
@@glitter-lk5dzchange is fine, but NEVER look like the people rockers hate lol
@@SteveBurk
He always chose a classic look
which ladies love to see.
He played a small bar in PLP Manitoba I worked at in 88(?). Good time.
