Great playing and singing ladies and gentlemen. John Schlitt, the original lead singer for Head East, who sang this song. He was going down literally for the last time with his life when he found Jesus. The Lord Jesus came looking for him. and he's looking for you too, to deliver you from your pain, and discouragement and hopelessness. Mayb it's drugs, maybe some other reason. Jesus is God as well as Savior. He is right where you are right now listening to you. He loves you and wants to enter your heart. and lead you in His rightness. His perfection of making you the person you should be. Full of joy, happiness and peace, and know that you're going to heaven. Absolutely no question about it. But you have to learn to follow. You have to follow God. So, ask Him into your heart now and follow Him and he will lead you in blessings. Blessings and love you have never been able to imagine. He's done that for me. He did that for John Schlitt, and He will do that for you. I love you. I love you in the Lord. Tom.😇♥ P.S.: If you want to hear the best singing and band go to: PETRA SONGS, here on RUclips.

I feel sorry for that next band coming on stage. They nailed it. Love that young woman playing guitar and backup vocals. What energy. She had the time of her life. Real soul.
@snsllytle1 It's a large group of musicians that all play together. If you notice some of the videos have different musicians but some of the same ones from this one, they're all friends.
It's always good when you see young kids like this enjoying what they're doing & playing music that was popular when we were youngsters.... music spills over into generations & that's what makes music so great... these kids are really great I can only hope that all of them pursue their interests because they are really good...
This song was a staple of our Friday night college bong sessions. It's a classic, and the energy and passion you bring to it is astounding! Beautifully done!
Wow! Wow! Wow! If you know this song, you'll know how amazing this cover is. This song is one of my ALL TIME Favorites from my days. Not only did they totally catch it musically. But they really caught the whole Vibe of the song. I know these guys & girls have moved on but "BRAVO" just the same.
1:45 Ask Trey and Mike how hard it is to choreograph their two-man acrobatics for Phish, and then consider that the two guitarists, the bass player, and the cowbell dude all just started doing it spontaneously (and perfectly in sync) for a good 20 seconds. Frickin amazing. 👍
I posted this video on FB on June 10, 2023. Had no clue how many views it got, but I can say it deserves to be seen by millions more. Bravo Peggy Stevenson and the SOR Chicago Red Hots! ❤️
I played in many bands in Jr. and Sr. high school - these kids have no idea how friggin good they are. Top to bottom, everyone, just rockin. Great band. Great song. Great groove.
Peggy, I do not mean to pry - but please tell me some of these kids have grown into even bigger bands! Too much talent and fun not to have gone on to bigger and better.
The energy this band, especially the lead singer exhibits, is infectious! Makes me want to get up and dance. I dont believe I'll ever get tired of watching or listening to this version of an outstanding version of this great song! 👍
I prefer to listen to this performance over Head East so this is on my classic rock playlist. Keyboard player's voice and power is unreal. The expression that the lead singer puts into her voice is unique and awesome. She's really comfortable on stage too. Not to distract from her singing but she was born to wear that dress and I like the way she moves and dances when she sings. It doesn't take a fame to have style. She's got it, even if she doesn't think so.
MS Stevenson, I have watched many of you videos here. The young lady, who I presume is your daughter is very passionate and talented! Where is she now? Is she pursuing her rock and roll dream??
I have heard this song a thousand times. I have played this song a dozen times or more (drummer). And I really like this version. These kids give it their all. Kudos to them.
I'm a musician in Texas. Didn't expect much when I clicked on here, but I'm diggin' you guys. This is a tricky song to play right, and you guys pretty much nail it.
WOW! I'm stunned. I watched this once and was so blown away that I watched it eight more times, concentrating on each individual's performance. It wasn't until I watched it as a total performance again that I noticed the singer helping to adjust her band mate's mic stand during the intro. That explained everything. The cowbell performance is epic, but that little girl's perfectly timed chimes ... chilling.
YES! something seemingly so trivial (and overlooked by many) adds so much heart and soul to the entire piece. its great art. The wonderful Hanns Zimmer once said something like this "there is nothing more important than the least single note".!
Just want to say thank you to everyone near and far for all the supportive likes and comments this cover of Head East’s Never Been Any Reason has received- it reached a million views a few days ago and it couldn’t have happened without you!! Thank you!! ❤

I’m sure they’re proud of the parents of them kids by raising them with a good taste in music.
I hope Mike Somerville (writer/creator) got a chance to watch this before he sadly passed away Feb 28, 2020. I'm sure he would have been both proud, and smiling.
This group looks like they're having such a good time and it shows in their performance. Amazing job covering this classic song.
Great, nice ! Never heard the song and after looking for the original, I prefer your version. I love the energy of your group. Grtz from Belgium.
the keyboard girl on the left has a proper voice! that shout at 4:27 is on point!
Thats a "Rock &Roll" voice
She surely does, that's Christine McVie all day long. Killing it.
JulienZ Donnie Iris would love her!!
She sure does. Wowzers. she can front my band any day of the week.
No doubt! That young lady has some pipes!
The next band rushed the stage before they even finished. Now their rude behavior has been viewed a million times. Good lesson!
It's always good when you see young kids like this enjoying what they're doing & playing music that was popular when we were youngsters.... music spills over into generations & that's what makes music so great... these kids are really great I can only hope that all of them pursue their interests because they are really good...
More cowbell!
You YOUNGSTERS NAILED IT!!!! So glad people still remember the songs that had soul, heart and DRIVE! Best cover this 71 year old has ever heard......
Hope the guys from Head East see this. I'm sure they'll love it. Nice job guys.
Shared with a member of Head East and, approved! Great job!
Dan Crowley , great job, no doubt; remember The Way, peace
The energy this band, especially the lead singer exhibits, is infectious! Makes me want to get up and dance. I dont believe I'll ever get tired of watching or listening to this version of an outstanding version of this great song! 👍
A-EFFING -MEN
NEV V V V V ER GETS OLD
Haha...Neil Phelan, agreed, here I am again. This is just perfect. @peggystevenson.
This just came up in my feed. Pretty talented group of young people. I take it your the rightfully proud Mom ☺
These kids totally nailed this. I can name 20 gold record recording artists who don’t sound near this good live. Good for you!
I keep coming back here. Why? Because it's freaking awesome.
I'm 65 and I loved it.
Excellent--they kept the groove without rushing at all, it was tight and in the pocket.
I have to say, I have loved this song for decades. And I tell you, I'm not sure this band didn't just do it better!
Agreed!...I went back and listened to Head East live versions...this one moves me way better!
They didnt
It is ON par with the live versions of this song.
MS Stevenson, I have watched many of you videos here. The young lady, who I presume is your daughter is very passionate and talented! Where is she now? Is she pursuing her rock and roll dream??
Omg!!!! Killer!!!! The backing vocals FLOORED me!!!! Please, Lord, give these kids your blessing. They will go far!
And 10 months later, still crazy awesome!!
I have heard this song a thousand times. I have played this song a dozen times or more (drummer). And I really like this version. These kids give it their all. Kudos to them.
You kids rocked this!!! You were having a blast and it shows! Good job! Love the cowbell! Everyone rocked!!!
I'm a musician in Texas. Didn't expect much when I clicked on here, but I'm diggin' you guys. This is a tricky song to play right, and you guys pretty much nail it.
Head East was a great band, nice cover but way too much distraction with the jumping around. This isn’t and easy song to perform,
Obviously it's their favorite song! They're having a Blast! Sounds Great! 👍
I love giving out the old good stuff to our kids and grandkids they would never know unless we give them our world 😜
@@B.J.Murphy-fr8pz Hear Here! 👍🏻
Omg y'all are freaking awesome with this cover just came across my feed I see it was like 6 Years ago dang I will definitely put this on replay 😮😮😮
WOW! I'm stunned. I watched this once and was so blown away that I watched it eight more times, concentrating on each individual's performance. It wasn't until I watched it as a total performance again that I noticed the singer helping to adjust her band mate's mic stand during the intro. That explained everything. The cowbell performance is epic, but that little girl's perfectly timed chimes ... chilling.
Damn, gave me chills too! Thought i was losing it!!
Yes it's very impressive
YES! something seemingly so trivial (and overlooked by many) adds so much heart and soul to the entire piece. its great art. The wonderful Hanns Zimmer once said something like this "there is nothing more important than the least single note".!
