    I have both earbuds. The thing I disagree with strongly in this review is mic quality on the Bose. It is terrible. I have stopped using them for calls as everyone I speak to complains. The noise cancelling and fit is excellent however. I use them at the gym because they do not fall out, and I can drown out the awful music being played at the gym.

      Actually the mic works flawless for me, using s22.

      You’re absolutely right. I own both and the Ultras mic absolutely suck when on calls. I have to admit that the Bose has better noise cancelling and slightly better audio quality. In every other department the Pro 2 annihilates the Ultras.

    I have a question: If a patient gets a "hearing-improvement" device (e.g., Airpod Pro) other than the expensive prescription hearing aid, and as a result is able to hear very well and is no longer socially isolated, would that prevent dementia as good as a prescription hearing aid?

    I have both of these buds. The Bose have the better sound and the better fit for my ears. The AirPod pro USBC, like the previous versions, easily fall out of my ears always. I wore the Bose to mow my yard the other day and I was blown away at how well they blocked the mower noise. I won’t even try to use the Airpod pro’s outside for fear of losing them. The AirPods have an advantage when using my iPhone and my iPad Pro together. Multipoint is a glaring miss in the Bose product and is disappointing with a product priced $50 more.

      I have both as well. I find I use the AirPods when watching my Apple TV, but my main go to for most other task has become the Bose. The ANC is better, my pro 2’s seemed to have lost a good amount of ANC ability over time. The comfort and secure fit of the Bose seals the deal for my first go to. I will say, the touch features on the pro 2’s have been easier. I have ignored multiple calls because I pressed too long when trying to answer a call on the Bose.

      Just adding to this, I own both. The Bose are nice, but there is a constant static/buzz in the left earbud. 3 pairs replaced, and it's still there. Some Research tells me it's a common issue and on Bose's site they state it's "normal". It's awful and hard to listen to. Airpods win on quality alone.

    I bought some Bose Quiet comfort 2 just before the ultras came me out with a set of $69 EarFun Pro 3 as a backup , the cheap earbuds have seamless multipoint and punch way above their weight for sound and ANC , the Bose sounded great with great ANC but , three pairs failed in some way while under warranty. I’m about to receive Ultras for my fourth set so here’s hoping they are better as I’m almost out of warranty. On the plus side the warranty is excellent except by the time I send the failed ones in and receive the replacements it’s a month each time .

    Most of the reviewers say the Bose sound like they have more ANC but these graphs say they don’t in the middle range. Where does the discrepancy come from between other reviewers and your measurements?

    • @aaakmm1785
      @aaakmm1785 8 месяцев назад +6

      Each reviewer uses different methodology to measure ANC so differences are unavoidable. Each reviewer has different ear and different noise environment. For me both Bose and Apple were similar in ANC performance.

    I've found that the left earbud on the quietcomfort ultra tends to give me a faint buzzing sound while anc is on. It's really noticeable when you're in a quiet environment with no audio playing. Sometimes, you can even hear the hardware running in the background. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

      -10?? Are you sure! If you are having to do that then there is clearly another EQ skewing this.
      On a flat EQ device, the out of the box Bose is quite a modest sound and usually needs a bump not a whopping reduction

    I have owned both for a number of months..I would say sound quality and ANC is on another level with THE Bose ultra,,,but for ease of use with other apple products then the airpods are so simple to use for a meeting or listening to videos etc. So the on / off quick use the AirPods win for me,,,,but if looking to settle for a few hours with a movie or music and block the outside away then the Bose are the best option. If budget allows then both will get usage even if both are on the desk.

    You actually can go wrong buying AirPods Pro 2 if you're going to use them with your Mac... That's right, editing using Final Cut Pro stops right after connecting these Apple earbuds and the program gets laggy to the point of eventually crashing. Ridiculous! All on a MacBook Pro 16" M1 Pro.

    🤔I agree with you for the most. Just one little difference for me. And that is the ANC. I think it is better on the Ultra's. Apple hasn't taken the crown for that since the OG AirPod Pro's first released. Now that ANC before Apple dumbed it down was perfect in my opinion.

    Tested both intensively myself, and the AirPod Pro 2 USB-C version has a cleaner soundstage, is more detailed and has better sound separation compared to the Bose. The Bose does have beefer low end, but it drowns out a lot of detail. Human voices sound unnatural and bloated compared to the AirPod pro 2. Everything else is better on the AirPod Pro 2, as it just has way more bells and whistles and ANC is very similar. Make sure to get foam tips for AirPod Pro 2 for the best experience.

      I have the AirPods Pro 2 .. they sound great on my iPad pad mini 6 but they sound VERY trebly on my iPhone 15 . I think they sound spacious by emphasising the top end in some dsp cleverness but sometimes it’s just too much .. wish I could adjust the sound ..edit .. just realised the spacial audio was switch on.. sounded really weird on some stereo tracks .. switched it off in the control screen .. strange how that is the only place you can do that.. you would think it would be in with the other settings.. sounds great now !
